I really expect to wait. But isn't that what life is all about? Stupid joke, but this is expected. Just not as long as you think. Before FM4 releases DLC should be out. Otherwise, really bad move by PD.

jakhole you said:
So they'll all leave their families in Japan to go live away from an earthquake prone country. Fix your brain, boy!
Notice country in there? Read it again and again, you'll be surprised to find your second comment:
I was saying that's the only way they'd get out of an earthquake prone region.
Has changed from country to region....they can move to another part of Japan which they would feel is safer than where they were and that's exactly what they've done. Plus, no doubt they took their families with them...

Oh wow. I was talking about moving out of the country to get away from the earthquakes completely and surely, which is wrong because they'd be leaving their families. I was talking about region, talking about a country. A region can be a country. How are you going to try and prove me wrong somehow? What the hell is there to prove wrong?

:dunce:

They did move to another part of the country. Mafia boy was talking about how,

if Kaz and the team at PD REALLY wanted to get away from the earthquake prone region they would've done it YEARS AGO!! I'd think they would be a bit more worried about something called radiation, rather than the earth shaking.

Now, I will keep asking.......FIX THE SERVERS PD!!
The only way they can get away from earthquakes and now radiation is by leaving the region of Japan.

This is the TWEEEEEEETERRRRS THREAD OF KAZUNORI YAMAUCHI! Yes, I said tweeters.

You're the smartest person on this page, Mitch. Truly mean it, sir.

By families, I mean relatives, siblings, and parents. No, PD's workers wouldn't take them to Fukuoka.

I moved on and wrote a thread related reply to trk29, you brought me back, now no more because I have material that needs to be watched if any of you men KNOW what I mean.

You understand where they've moved to isn't actually contaminated right? You're exaggerating how bad it really is outside the main radiation zone like those wussy MotoGP riders that refuse to ride in Japan because they're scared of radiation poisoning they're insanely unlikely to get...

What? They're not leaving Japan you fool, just the area near the reactors....

Mitch, that's what you said that made Mafia boy say he meant what you said. Which means, he was talking about radiation being bad IN Fukuoka. I'm not saying the radiation is bad out there. That's what Mafia boy was saying. I'm definitely talking about Mafia boy being ignorant, saying PD is moving to just as bad a location as Tokyo. I really think Mafia boy wishes he were wise enough to be in the mafia. He might be wise enough by making me write so much about something he was joking about. Oy.

Kaz said that the servers are not fully running yet, that would explain the current online issues probably.

Well then maybe Sony should help them out.

It's more of an internal issue really? Moving to Fukouka explains why. Obviously when they are finished moving everything should be up to speed again.

Me and a friend did the 24 hour in the 787B doing stints like the real thing was fantastic fun, 24 hours non stop, we even started and finished at the correct times :)

On topic good to see some more info but lets not get carried away expecting it to appear soon.

^ I'm planning what JamboGT did, with a friend of mine. We'll start at the correct times, too, and we'll run 24 hours of Le Mans. We'll be at least 3 people, but we're considering adding a 4th driver, just for the sake of it. Wouldn't be as realistic, but would be a bit more do-able.

In two weeks' time we have the first tests! (My friend doesn't own GT5, so he has to get used to the car we choose!)

I highly recommend the 787B and if you can do it, cockpit with no HUD, very immersive, especially at night.

Thanks for calling me ignorant along with your smart ass comment about wishing he were wise enough blah blah blah......personal attacks aren't allowed on here. Not to mention your assuming on what I said. Now allow me to reply constructively, instead of insulting like you did.

Your initial comment in the post (which you edited twice) said:
So they'll all leave their families in Japan to go live away from an earthquake prone country. Fix your brain, boy!
Radiation. +130 million Japanese must move too.
Then you must've done a google search to find where Fukuoka was and then edited to include:
So radiation is contaminating Fukuoka as we speak? And all those other developers near the reactors are stuck in their studios? Radiation can't be stopped by a wet towel under the door? Someone, CONSULT THEM!

That wasn't what I said and you being facetious about it was quite silly, really. ALL I responded to with your initial comment was about Mitch saying "they want to move away from the reactors" with "what he said". This is where it got brilliant in your masterpiece of fail here. You then said:
Which means, he was talking about radiation being bad IN Fukuoka.
Along with:
I'm not saying the radiation is bad out there. That's what Mafia boy was saying.
Where the hell did I say or imply that?? There's several sources of high radiation levels at the moment, and it was caused by Fukushima, which is on the other side of the country!! Even in Tokyo, there are effects of Fukushima, such as radioactive beef being sold in the local shops!!

But since you want to talk about radiation and such, let's go back to Fukuoka, where there is a nuclear restart crisis currently underway involving the local power company called Kyushu where the officials tried to sneak away with manipulating a public voting system to restart the reactors and bypassing the strict regulations the Japanese government has set since the Fukushima disaster. But I bet you're so into Japanese culture, you knew all of this stuff off the top of your head, right?? Yeah right.

Put it in this perspective. If you were running PD, wouldn't it be safer for business to get away from that nuclear reactor, especially since another one just recently blew up?? You know, calm people's worries?? I know I would if I was a business owner. 💡

Now, is that ignorant enough for you?? Next time, don't assume you know 🤬 about what I say or do because it's plain and simple that you don't!! :grumpy:

I know we're trying to leave this behind, but I agree that in-race saves should be in. Mainly because there's still the strategy element involved; stint length, fuel load optimisation, tyre choice etc. You don't get that in a normal 5 minute race. That's pretty important.

As for the Fukuoka move, I doubt most people here are qualified to comment about the situation in Japan.

So yeah, regarding the "track pack" there's more than just the logos that appeared on the GT website. I refer you to the first post in the general discussion thread:
- All cars and tracks of GT4 will be in GT5
- more cars and tracks should be downloadable

These rumours have hardly sprung from nowhere; those are via French magazine JOYPAD, who interviewed Kaz back in May of 2007 (Issue 174, I think). So you can see why some people are "anxious" about this, considering how long they've been expecting it.

Can either of you go back and show me where I said you should run the race alone..... I'm not sure who you are saying that to but since it's not based on anything I said I have to assume it's not me.

For the record I think the way to run the 24 hour races is to get a group of friends over for a day and make a party out of it. 1 guy racing for a couple of hours at a time whilst the rest of you hang out.....maybe time it to coincide with a big football game you can watch or something.

Guess what, even if it's supposed to be played with a group of friends, that's not an option for all of us now is it?
I do got friends, some actually enjoy occasionally playing a bit of GT5 at my home, others have no interest at all, none of them are willing or able to spend 24 hours together for the purpose of completing a videogame I happen to own.
I don't have to enter both 24 hours races, thing is I'd really like to and in GT4 my B-spec Bobs took stints which in fact added realism and made it possible for me to complete them.
So a save function, which is basically the same as the pause button already available, only without the energy consumption, risk of game/console failure or power cuts (ever thought of those?) doesn't take away anything, it only adds a possibility for most of us to actually enter these events without worrying about the aforementioned issues.
Any reasonable person with a sense of logic, who isn't obsessed with the supposed realism of sitting 24 hours on a couch in front of a telly, obviously understands that.

To keep the endurance races as a special challenge for the most dedicated of players.

Oh really? Then you defenitly aggree with me that PD should limit 24 hour races to LMP1/Group C cars with 0 modifications and on racing hards (same tires as the AI)?

Or isn`t this pure enough... Its just a game dude.

So. I'm sure the topic is about tweets that Kazunori Yamauchi has made. Lets cut out the petty arguments and get back on topic. Thanks.

It's all over the news page too.

New tweet:

Feature is not quite want to achieve for a long time. Toka next to the famous drivers in the online event, I want to ride it. Interesting and vice versa. "Late braking" is angry solved. RT @ ryu_sas: @ I ride in the passenger seat of the car's Friends Kaz_Yamauchi

I'm guessing someone asked if it's possible to ride shotgun and he said it's not coming anytime soon

New tweet:

I'm guessing someone asked if it's possible to ride shotgun and he said it's not coming anytime soon

My translation (while not 100% literal it should be correct. This time I tried to convey better the meaning in english):

Kaz_Yamauchi: ずいぶん前からやりたい機能ですがなかなか実現していません。オンラインイベントで有名ドライバーのとなりとか、乗ってみたいよね。その逆も面白そう。「ブレーキ遅い」とか怒られる。RT @ryu_sas: @Kaz_Yamauchi フレンドさんのクルマの助手席に乗りたいのですが

It's a feature I wanted to make since long ago, but hasn't quite come into implementation yet. Riding with popular drivers on online events, for example, would be interesting. The opposite would be too. Imagine getting angry that [the driver] is braking late and so on. RT @ryu_sas: @Kaz_Yamauchi I'd like to be able to ride on my friends' car passenger seat.

Now that's interesting, but do we really need the ability to ride shotgun? *Throws hands up and storms out*

'Gran Turismo 5: The Real Passenger Simulator"

Could be interesting for rallying (or learning a track) I guess, if one person can adopt the role as navigator (teacher) and would actually be able to provide info by text or mic to the driver providing he knows the track better ofcourse.

God just give us a game that we can play and enjoy without all these things that don't work. First he wants to do a TDU game and now this?

That right there shows that his vision maybe just a little to big. I appreciate the effort and thinking outside of the box but he is getting a little to distracted from doing what we all want and that is to give us a game (A Gran Turismo Game) with the features we want. What the hell happened between GT4 and GT5? And don't say GT5P :)

Once he can do that I am all for trying something new. While he is busy visioning, other companies are making games. You can say that it is his game and he does what he wants and it is up to us to choose if we want it or not, but if that is the case there might not be anybody to buy his game.

Maybe you could navigate the night races with night vision goggles.
Wrong thread :)
But you could put it here.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the DLC is gonna suck...why the hell do they not actually ask the community what it wants instead of this stupidity. Forza 4 will get my money even if the physics aren't the best, Turn 10 gets what should be in a game unlike PD with Kaz driving the GT franchise into the ground wasting time on his 'perfection'.

If PD adds a 'shotgun' mode, will they add the weight of the extra person to the car?
Whats next? Keeping your a spec driver fit and healthy so he doesn't get fat and weigh the cars down? I can imagine trying to start a race and a pop up appearing saying "your driver is too large to fit into the X2010".
