I don't see the much point to the passenger thing as you can already do that. Of course your driver is not In the passenger seat but you can view the other players car from multiple angles in spectate mode.

Im beginning to not see much of a point in a ton of things in this game.

I'm scared to think what GT6 might have install for us.

1000+ cars, about 200 odd of which most people will actually use. 10000+ suits and helmets, even more paint chips, horns, coloured wheel nuts, different colour balaclavas, museum cards that people will collect just to Pokemon the game, ride shotgun mode with your bobs and friends, (insert useless random crap here).

That's how GT6 will no doubt end up...

I think it's supposed to be in real time instead of only a replay option and to be honest I don't think it's that hard or time consuming to implement, there's already a navigator in those rally special events so they have to add another camera angle to an already modelled interior and introduce a gameplay element where you can choose to be an online passenger I guess.

The question is whether we really need it at all, might be a nice little gimmick but nothing more (unless there's a rally navigator function like I mentioned before although I also doubt that many people would choose to be a navigator perhaps), can't see that many people frequently using it as most buy a driving game to actually drive themselves.
In fact it's another passive element like separate B-spec and the even more passive B-spec remote function, unless the passenger sitting shotgun actually has a shotgun at his/her disposal or has some function other than only being driven around I can't really see it taking off.

Since Kaz mentioned the possibility of being frustrated by the driving style of the driver I start to worry he might think being frustrated is another core element of gameplay.

Dont worry it wont be compuslary to buy. You will have the choice.

Someone please ask Kaz.

Fix when GT to going you are.

Thanks.

Below.

I wasn't aware it was broken, at least my copy is fine.......

Fully agree Doc.

I understand completely, but I want to buy that is the problem. If I didn't care so much I wouldn't even be in this forum talking about it.

Its not my fault, I loved GT1, 2, 3, and 4 just the way they were. When the scene changes around you and you must adapt (designing games) and you say that this and that will be in, and then only to find out that the game lacks tracks,(all from GT4) differently quality in all cars, and tracks. I hate that excuse about having a choice.

What I am saying is that the other developers are starting to really shine whereas before it was GT that paved the way for console racing games. Kaz should have all the basics that the other games have like cockpits for all cars, interior changing when you lighten the car, changing wheels, and be better looking too just to name a few plus abazillion times more things . Why?

Because they can do it.

Update the core aspects of the game first, address the driving/racing issues and weed out the bugs. Worry about all the glittery/sparkly stuff later. Too much emphasis is placed on the sparkly/shiny garbage, pouring syrup on burnt eggs won't turn them into pancakes. Its like Kaz has no idea as to which direction he wants to go with GT5.... for a game that was hyped up to be the holy grail of console sim racing it leaves a lot to be desired.

Hey you got the same version as me. Lol.

On topic.

Has the big update been released yet.

I love GT5 personally...now...if only I had a PS3 and a TV to go on playing it. :P
oooh that's not good. :yuck: feel sorry for you

Kaz doesn't want to disappoint and his team is trying to meet people's expectations. Saying that it's quite an effort, does it mean they are still able to achieve their goals?

By that I mean, are they able to keep up with the expectations? I guess we'll have to wait and see, until the next game of "game that shall not be named" is released?

This tweet basically says that race saving is under development :)

Well tweet doesn't show copying from my iPhone but there is a tweet to it

Shotgun Mode could be good to learn from GT's top drivers. I just want to be able to turn music off/on or up/down from the pause menu. Is that too much to ask for? And that saving mid-race option will be greatly welcomed!

I started the 24 hours of Le Mans today! Lol, that's okay, I'm really enjoying it but I don't know if my wife is. At least I can say I did one 24 hour race on my own.

If you look on the GTP News section and go down to 1st March 2011, there will be one saying In-Race Game Saves Coming to Gran Turismo. It says about it being developed. Why then is there a new news story of today saying that In-Race Game Saves are finally being developed. This means the feature has taken nearly 5 months to make(so far!)

If he is able to get us in race saves, I will get down on one knee and serve him a cup of tea. When it comes, I'll believe it.

Can someone PLEASE tweet Kaz and ask him about updates to the Tuning Shop? I'd love to see the following upgrades:

- Brake upgrades (complete brake sets as well as individual parts)
- A more comprehensive array of engine parts (camshafts, valve train upgrades, port polish, new pistons, bore increase, fuel delivery)

It's all good, it was worth a shot.:dopey: I didn't necessarily want somebody to go into depth about what an update to the Tuning Shop would include, just if an update was coming. :)
Well it's just that tweeting Kaz and then, getting a response isn't likely. Especially, a question so specific as yours. I'm not sure at all what it would take to add parts to the Tuning shop. It would be great if it did happen.

What about TUNING saves? Is it really that hard to add? Come on.... we can save replays but not simple data.
At least in GT5P we could save up to 3 per car (a/b/c).

Could someone please tweet him? I can't believe you guys don't care about this very important feature.

Yeah or how about having built-in, fixed tuning presets (sports, semi-racing, racing for example) as well as 3 custom ones like you mentioned above. :)
