We've had a sense of accomplisment however. It's true though that in-game saves would be welcome. My guess is that no one that works for PD has actually completed a 24 hr race in game then, or he wouldn't stick his foot in his mouth.

Well, yes that's possible: I'm not perfect and I forgot to add that the translations above might contain errors. However a guy told Yamauchi in a tweet that he is forced to pause the game to be able to continue those races after he returns back from work, and he acknowledged that perhaps in-game saves during endurance would be helpful. It really looks like he originally meant 24h races in GT5 (and GT4) as something to be enjoyed with friends.

I look forward to see if PD will actually add in race saves to GT5 at some point. My initial assumption that this isn't possible needs to be proven wrong.

Yes but another_jackhole quoted Kaz in saying he did a 24hr race in GT4 after I said "I bet no one had completed a 24hr race in GT5."

By the way, the B-spec assist feature during endurances you're talking about wasn't in the japanese version of GT4. I can confirm as I have the original NTSC-J version. I didn't even know there was such a feature until recently after reading about it on GTPlanet.

Whether it got implemented in a later Japanese release or not, that's unknown to me. All screenshots of that feature I've seen on the Net, though, have been in English.

True, if B-spec weren't a separate mode and was basically integrated like it was in GT4 the need for a save function wouldn't be as huge as it is now.
If Kaz truly intended that we're supposed to play these 24 hour races with friends he needs to acknowledge not everyone playing GT5 is in the same situation he ideally pictures.
Being a petrolhead playing driving games doesn't automatically mean your friends are too, if it were somehow available to do it together online with your PSN-buddies or through meeting likeminded individuals on a forum like this it would be more realistic for the majority (although again not for everyone).

About possible DLC, I remember Kaz mentioning a while back they weren't planning to add new additions (as in new cars for the GT-series) but were considering to eventually offer Premium versions of 'classic' cars already included as Standard versions.
Not sure this still stands though (to be frank, like a lot he seemingly casually mentions) and if we might after all see some new cars, although I'd be perfectly happy to only have some Standard cars (especially the classic ones) turned into current gen assets.

I'm pretty much expecting this DLC (if there is one/some coming) to be crap we don't want. Kaz said they're working to make it live up to expectations, I just hope it's not my expectations that they're working towards...
