I had two races against Sophy at Le Mans. In the first, I had a spin on the first lap and dropped to 20th. Boost was stupid and I was third before the end of the second lap. I uploaded the replay on the game so anyone interested can watch on on their PS4/5
I revisited this challenge over the last couple of weeks, both races on normal difficulty only using SH for Tokyo and RH at Le Man. Turns out I had a lot of zero mile cars in my garage to choose from! Too many cars to list that can win this. I just searched the garage by zero mileage and picked anything at 600pp +/- 40pp. Tokyo was the more difficult of the two mainly because of the AI at Tokyo having the much higher top speed than the Gr 4 cars at Le Man, 300kph plus. The main challenge at Le Man with all stock road cars is fuel management, I always try to manage a 2 stop race so squeezing 3 laps was a challenge with a few cars. Much like the stock Gr 4 challenge, I was surprised at how well most cars handled totally STOCK. Some example cars; most if not all, Ferrari, AMG, Mclaren, Ford GT, Corvette, etc. Special mention for best value, the Corvette base C7 at 51k. Le Man winners all based on extrapolated dry race.
I was thinking back to the long list of la Sarthe WTC 700 challenges and came up with a new one for anyone interested.
WTC 700 STOCK ROAD CAR sub 4 minute, IN RACE lap. That's it.
Definitions:
STOCK, since most of the cars capable of going sub 4 are fairly expensive and have probably been modified, STOCK shall be defined as; Normal settings for suspension, diff, and transmission, HP no more than stock. Detune open, tires open.
ROAD CAR, no race car, no VGT, no swaps.
IN RACE lap, any lap in race with the variation that the race does NOT have to be completed. I'm a little burnt on the full 30 minute race and don't need the credits so I've tried a couple cars with a two lap strategy. First lap FM6 get a feel for the car, second lap FM1 and set that qually lap! It's only a 9 minute time commitment then on to the next one.

Still dialing in some quirky handling but the Lancer Evo VI with engine swap is a bit of a lemans beast. 8 laps, ~3:59's, and only 1 stop while on fuel save 3. Happy progress with that.
Should really be doing 57-58’s each lap, but my current setup is a bit understeery, and I keep just pushing into the track limits here and there.
It's well behaved in the wet as well, weight bias is still a bit at the front so shoving the power to 50/50 if the rain starts hugely helps traction and stability.

Something that I have noticed in the my last few races at LeMans is that one of the cars spins out coming off the turn leading into the Mulsanne straight. A couple of times I crashed into the car but when I was doing it yesterday I was able to avoid the car because I was expecting it

Took the W196R to this event I put the medium TB and RM tires got 4 laps on FM2 so its possible it can do the full race without pitting.
The car is super fun to drive stale under braking but you have to start braking early.
The car is stale under cornering but you need to be careful or the back will snap out.
Overall 8/10 good car for this event.

In stock trim, no turbo, FM1 no stop. Similar feel to the Honda RA272, fun drive would recommend.

With RM, Medium RPM Turbo, you can indeed go 7 laps non-stop. Just enough fuel, tires half-worn. Set the final drive to 2.357 and use the racing gearbox gear ratios as-is. On FM6, it’ll go 187 mph. Excellent car, especially being 69 years old.

Yep, I did almost the same but used the low turbo. Everything else stock but changed the transmission to 370, did not touch any gears nor final drive. Was a bit twisty and need to brake sooner than usual but very pleasant drive! No stop no rain run for me on this time.

The new 992 can be raced with the stock suspension settings, just adding tires. The RH will last 5 laps easily. It does suck gas, getting 2.3 laps on fuel using FM6. It is fast, though. I used all bolt-ons and all weight reductions. I needed to lower the ECU to make 700pp. Still plenty of power,(over 600hp). It's really good in the rain, letting me go farther on RH than I thought possible without any butt-clenching moments.
This one might be a STOCK sub 4 minute Porsche, but it's a handful at the limits....

I ran two swaps today. The Alfa, which was fun maxed out. A little unstable in high-speed braking, but not unmanageable. Gets 3 laps on fuel on FM6. Good sound, too.
The second is the Mitsubishi EVO, which is truly outstanding. This could be the most balanced swap I’ve ever used. Smooth, linear power delivery, no wheelspin, great handling and braking. It sucks gas, getting 2.1 laps on fuel on FM6.
All I did was take all weight reductions. No power upgrades. None needed. I may get the racing intake and exhaust so It’ll sound better. It’s a bit subdued for me.

Very close racing, i guess is at hard level if i remember well the AI lap times .
In my griding era i never run it at hard or normal level unless i had to test something.
I really miss those days that i was running with cars on intermediate tyres non stop all the way .

i still hit La Sarth for a good rainstorm racing and got very interested in the Nurburgring, made a 2 lap custom race at the 24hr circuit just for the distance to get my ticket with random weather also. having fun with this and using stock road cars not always winning.

Last time i did La Sarthe was for a member here to test the Escudo and send him my tune that was able to reach 45's in race trim ( 3 laps fuel on AT).
Nurburg is great ,am getting used this lately also since we did some online races there with Titans using various cars ( 550pp configuration last Sunday ) and am getting my daily same way as you do 😂 .
Didn't run full track , just restart and do a couple more Khm after two attempts of one lap.

I did this race so often when grinding that now I always choose it to test new/tuned/swapped cars. It's perfect to test everything, suspension settings, gearing, top speed, brakes, tire wear, fuel economy. Learn about your car and earn 825k🙂

For me griding pass in another stage .
Am doing the weeklies and if i like something i can do it several times , plus 1 million ( usually ) from TT's and am OK with that .
We have and Titans races every Sunday need time for preparation ( not always ) and am having enough fun that way.
Although i bloody miss all the " micro " challenges that we had there and all the " search " we did trying almost everything.

I've been doing the three lap arcade race at Le Mans against Sophy. I've had good success with a Ferrari GT3 car and the front wheel drive Renault Gr4 car. That's against pro of course.

I'm afraid there might be a little bit of misunderstanding here, my Greek friend😉
I meant that I did this race so often in the past when I was grinding that I now know the track (and race) so well, that it became my favorite race for testing cars. I'm not grinding anymore, so I'm not doing it for the credits, but still getting 825k for testing my cars for half an hour isn't a bad thing. And despite doing it so often in the past, I haven't gotten sick of it. I like the track, it has everything you need to test every aspect of your cars and still is a rather relaxing drive.
And now I hope that Google is doing a decent job translating this:

Μου αρέσει η πίστα, έχει όλα όσα χρειάζεστε για να δοκιμάσετε κάθε πτυχή των αυτοκινήτων σας και εξακολουθεί να είναι μια αρκετά χαλαρωτική οδήγηση.

There seems to be a bug currently which I encountered at least twice in the last days. There's enough water on the track for AI to already struggle on slicks, AI pits but doesn't change tires and drives the next round extremely slow. Strange!
