La sarthe event B- Spec Solved (to all who can´t win this race)

OMG WOW I actually just won this race after 10 attempts!! Heres the lowdown:

Firstly, I was under the impression that my car needed to be more powerful or lighter than the field, this is not true. I had a Mazda 787B Stealth Model with 850hp 870kg but it was overpowered and kept spinning tyres on corners.

The car I used was the Audi Playstation '05 from the Online Car Dealer. These were my settings:

-Oil Change
-Tuned to 780hp 950kg
-Aero at 51 front / 77 rear
-No Turbo
-Transmission set to 236mph
-Ride Height at -10 front and back.

You need LUCK! My luck was that the Audi '01 Race Car did not appear. I only had to contend with the BMW, Bentley & another Audi Playstation '05.

I had 2 Bobs at Level 29 and Level 31.

1. Set out on Racing Hards. I used 29 Bob - Keep your Bob midway on the gauge for twisty bits and make him red hot on the straights, you need to pass as many cars as possible before your first stop. I made sure I overtook the BMW before my pitstop on Lap 2, I think I was 9th place.

2. Pit stop changed driver to 31 Bob and changed to Intermediates. I came out in 11th, that was fine. At this point the cars ahead should be slower than you cos of the rain. Keep overtaking whilst staying cool on the corners. As the leaders pitted at the end of Lap 3 I ended up 3rd.

3. At this point they're still slower than you as their tyres are cold! Overtake!! By the first straight I was 1st, now try to keep this position and build a gap between you and the rest of the field!

4. By Lap 7 I was about 30 seconds ahead but tyres were starting to degrade so I kept Bob midway cool. I pitted at the end of Lap 8 for fresh Intermediates and Bob lvl 29. If youve built enough of a lead like I did you will come out the pits still in the lead but with 2nd and 3rd on your tail. Thats fine, push a little bit so they cant catch you in your slipstream.

5. Watch your tyre wear and dont overdo it. They pit end of Lap 9. your in the lead. Keep bob at 20% for the rest of the race!


I did this in 40mins and 12secs.

I did it in the r8 race car '01 with a lv 30 and 17 driver and won 1st time. I put the lv17 driver first with racing hard tires and raced til the end of lap 2 where i pitted. Changed driver to the lv30 and changed tires to inters. Came out 11th and raced on with the Bob at 3quarters to hot. Other cars pit in the next lapand I go into the lead and stay there throughout the race. Pit in again at the end of lap 9, change drivers again and change to racing hard tires again and keep the Bob about half to win the race.

Finally my Team did it L31 and L20 Bobs won at La Sarthe in 40:14,380, 17 secs ahead of the second placed C60 Hybrid.
My team was driving the Oreca / Playstation Audi `05 with that GT-ONE tune posted in this tread. Pitted on Laps 3 and at the end of the 8th Lap. Took the lead at the first pit stop because the leader was held up by passing traffic on the second Pit Stop I changed drivers to my other guy and kept him in the right side of the bar for the rest of the race Only the prize car wasn't that great. I got a GT by Citroen Road car in white. but the 6 mil dollars were very nice for that, So good luck for all of you guys that are still trying to win this one.

Finaly won it with a BMW V12 LMR. Bob started on race hard, did a pit stop on lap 3 and changed to Intermediates. did an other pit stop on lap 8 for a fresh set of Intermediates as Bob was starting to slide. The other cars pitted at lap 9 and Bob passed all cars in the pit. Only car one had already exited the pitlane and switched to hard tires. Bob was able to pass this car as it spun in the corner with the dunlop sign. From there i kept pushing bob to the finish. He finished with a 7 second lead.

I'm on lap 7, cruising to victory in the Oreca R8. Currently have a 45+ second lead over the 2nd place Judd C60. Started on RH's, and pitted on lp2 for some inter's and new driver. Will be pitting next lap as well for some new tires and again Bob. The car is also untouched from the OCD, apart from de-tuning to 777hp and 700PP.

After about 15 goes with sub lvl 35 Bobs i finally bit the bullet and ground 2 Bobs upto lvl 37. That did the trick.

Dudee what a difficult race my Bob was with no stamina and no mental thing was 0 too on the last lap O.o

Dude that's bad because you cant push the bob harder you must leave it cold but the problem is the cars behind have big chances to overtake you. I was afraid cuz of that xD but i still won the race

Yeah, it happend when I started lap 9 but everyone did a pit and I didn't so I still won in my Toaster(2J)

Am i right my blue lvl 29 that mean wont win cos the b-spec online said must be lvl 35 or over?

so I make mistake on few day ago....i lost temper, broken apples mouse and tv remote control and control pad as well. that why I was realised that my b-spec couldn't win because must be 35 or over.

How do you change B spec drivers ? I know it is a question , but Q& A had no solution .

When you pit there is an option. If you don't want to change drivers make sure you manually select your driver during stop or pit strategy will auto pick driver #2. This game needs an over-ride on this pit strategy. Be nice to pick one set-up at start of race and go off an have a bike ride (did this once and came home to a 4th place finish )

Just did it and won with the Nissan R92CP. Aero set low (45f/55r), engine at 1028hp (Stage 3 turbo, then turned down a li'l bit with the limiter), trans top speed @ 255mph, suspension left alone except for lowering it 10mm.

Started on RH, ran a Level 36 Bob hard, pitted on Lap 3 with the others (I was in first by then, but barely), put on Intermediates, swapped to an L40 Bob, ran him semi-hard, regained the lead, pitted on Lap 8 (Inters again), swapped back to L36 Bob to get him some more experience, slipped to 5th, but made it up on the Mulsanne straight, taking the lead and then the win, despite Bob spinning the car in a fit of zeal leaving the pits.

Won it by 9.250 seconds.

I have tried about 15 different cars (including the Audi R8 PS, don't have the 2J) and this Nissan R92CP is clearly head and tails above all with speed on the straights. Blows by the Pescarolo's, Peugots, etc. like they are standing still. Unfortunately I have only one experienced BOB and cannot win this race. Fatigue always gets him in the end, even if I only have him do 7 laps.

Almost beat it last night

01' Audi R8 (900kg vs 950kg for the Oreca car)
Stg 3 turbo, fiddled with power limiter and downforce to get to 700PP
Top speed set to 250mph
Pit on lap 2 only

Kept my driver too hot "overnight" so on lap 10 right after the Dunlop bridge the tires were shot and I ended up in 7th. FML.

Will run it again and keep Bob at 50% hot after my 1st pit to conserve tires.

I won it a few times with a r8 jus pitted on the third lap n then didn't take the pit on the last but i barely win but i win so ill take it plus I got top speed set to 237 but it Def seems not fast enough

Won with GT-R R35 Touring Car!

Fully broken in at 897BHP i manage to win. Pited at lap 2/3 and 6/7. Ended up about 6 sec in front. Total time 40 min 40 sec give and take. Not the best of times but my bob drove against both the audi and the bmw.

Its amazing that the big car can cope. A big advantage is the 4wd. This gives great traction compered to most of the other cars.

I haven't used the 2J myself, but I think the consensus is to use the stage 3 turbo, adjust the trans top speed to 240 mph / 390km/h or so and leave everything else alone. Run Sports Softs and don't pit, ever. You''ll be off the pace for the first while, but the 2J gets a bigger advantage in the wet.

Thanks I just beat the race. I was fourteen seconds ahead when done. I did pit at the end of the third lap for RI tires thought.

So it seems a few have done this race with only 1 Bob, with most using the Chapparal 2J.

I have no 2J and only have one Bob. Even though I think he is pretty good, I don't think I want to put Mr. de Groot (lvl 37) through this all by his lonesome.

I have looked back and it seems the best way to get a 'new' Bob up to speed is to grind the 4 hours of the Nurburgring.

4hours of the N'burgring 157500Cr 682105xp 4:00 2842xp/min

I can't try this until later (at work) but will I be able to bring a low level Bob into this race? Maybe I have to grind the High Speed Ring for awhile before getting to the 4 hours?

I'll get there... kicking myself for not buying that 2J that was in the UCD around Christmas time.

I have two BoB's , level 35 and level 1. Can't win this race. Give level 1 the first 2 laps and let my best guy finish. I can have him in 1st place on lap 9 but he has 0 strength left and can't keep it on the track.

Last I checked, there's an R8 PlayStation ORECA '05 in the OCD (online car dealership). There's some people here who will kindly lend you their 2J. I don't have one, but have a browse through the previous pages in this thread and you'll find some who do.
