Hello, my problem isn't the race, at least i don`t think it is, haven`t actually gotten to the end yet because my bob likes to pit when i didn`t even tell him to come in yet...do i have to click cancel pit after my original first pit stop so that he doesn`t pit a second time? i dont' know it's weird, anyone else have this problem?

yea if you don't have the correct tires then it will make you pit, unless you cancel pit every lap. at least that is what is happening with me. also if your BoB is not up to snuff (no strength) then it will pit to change drivers.

Watch for the black "P" icon next to Bob's blue/red meter to turn yellow. Whenever it's yellow, he'll come in that lap, whether you requested it or he did on his own. If you want him to stay out, you'll have to cancel the pit stop every time the "P" goes yellow.

Remember kids. Proper hydration is key.

LOL, I realized when I typed it that it didn't come out right, but I figured nobody'd notice.

lol...that's so stupid, why does it do that, it should pit when we tell it to...another update fix

thanks fourliter!

You're welcome.

It's not really a design flaw. Bob'll automatically pit when he's exhausted or his tires are shot. You can adjust the auto-pit strength level in "Pit Strategy". Imagine doing a 24-hour B-Spec race without the feature :yuck: It would be nice, though, if a chime or something sounded, so you were more aware that he wants to come in.

Won it this time!

Using Chaparral 2J,
Oil change,
The transmission set to Max speed 400,
The same B-Spec driver Lvl 31,
No pit stops,
Sports Soft tyres.

I kept the driver 100% hot on laps 1, 2 and 3,
75% on laps 4 and 5
50% on laps 6 and 7 and
0-25% on laps 8, 9 and 10 due to my driver becoming mistakeful.

overall time was 40 minutes, 30 seconds.

Thanks people!

!! Spoiler !! (The price for winning the both races in this seasonal event is below). Highlight it to reveal:

^^^^^^^^^^^ Works awesome. Won the first time with a level 28 driver

I agree with the need for a chime or at least a bigger P or maybe one that flashes!

Any tips for tire preservation? Not a worse feeling than losing your tires (RI) with only 1 section left then getting nipped at the checkered flag because my ride is struggling to maintain 50mph. That ride being an Audi R8-01. Tires didn't last 7 laps. I didn't even push it either (no sideways driving). I basically hung with the lead pack in 4th place for the last 7 laps.

I don't think RI's are going to last 7 laps, regardless of how you coach Bob. I'd either run them for 5 laps (requiring 2 pit stops in the race), or run Sports Softs, which will last much longer.

Won with GT-R R35 Touring Car!

Fully broken in at 897BHP i manage to win. Pited at lap 2/3 and 6/7. Ended up about 6 sec in front. Total time 40 min 40 sec give and take. Not the best of times but my bob drove against both the audi and the bmw.

Its amazing that the big car can cope. A big advantage is the 4wd. This gives great traction compered to most of the other cars.

Blimey. Nice one. 👍

Does the 4WD help with tyre wear as well?

Im in a de-tuned Nissan R92cp race car on lap 4 and currently in 1st as the rest of the field pitted in for intermediates. Will I win like this? and when should I pit and waht tyres should I go for?

I tried this rig with sports softs and I just couldn't get it up to speed on the wet surface. First 3 laps on RH went just fine. This is one fast car and I love it.

My best bob is at lvl 25, should I even bother with this event?
Absolutely, go for it. I used the Bentley and nearly lapped a back marker. I didn't use sports soft tires on a race car either. (Which you would never see in the first place) Just use what they give you but don't use the racing hard on the last stint. The track grip is unrealistic in the first place so stick to the intermediate tires.

This has been a relatively easy challenge if your car is tuned good. I have been using several of the LMP1 cars. LMP = Le Mans Prototype

I like to coach my driver if you will, or babysit them like someone up the thread said. You will want to keep a close eye on your driver on approach to the Mulsanne Corner which is the slowest turn on the track at the end of the Mulsanne Straight. If you go in too hot, your car will be in the kitty litter if not tuned good and you will spend 20 seconds or more getting back up to speed because of some weird glitch that has the car just idling up the track.

If you wait to pit on lap 4, your driver gets incredibly stupid and slow. The rain percentage is creeping up, but as soon as you cross the line your driver is acting like the track is covered in ice. Not sure if that is something written into the code just to make the race tight.

Give it a shot anyways. Having fun is the key here, not just making the big money.

Race car - Audi R8 race car 01
Driver Lvl - 30
Tires - Race Hard for first 3 laps then intermediates.

Second try and beat the field by .25 secs.

I tried this in a 908, pitted on Lap 2/3 for inters(Only the Pescarolo Judd GV5 also chose this strategy of pitting early), and then pushed hard, and inherited 3rd when the leaders pitted. I noticed that as the night wore on, the back kept slipping. Eventually I finished in 4th because of too many mistakes. Tried again, same strategy but put in 10 Liters of fuel on the first stop to keep the back weighted down. When I came up on the R8, I pitted around 7/8, and put on another set of inters, and added 32 Liters of fuel. I pushed hard and caught up to the 2 lead cars, they pitted on lap 9, and I walked away with it. Fun race!

Major Buzzkill when you go off at the end of Mulsanne and it basically puts you on the pit limiter as you watch everyone go by...

I need a 2j soo bad they never come up in my ucd :(

What are the top 6 cars in your UCD, and what day does your game save say in PS3 saved data? I can tell you how long you have to wait.

I have tried this car and strategy a few times in the last week but the tires just don't last. hell I even tried doing the only the last 5 laps using the RI and they blow out on the last lap. driver lvl 35. closest I got was 2nd, doing 50mph on rims. :)

Can Super Softs work well in the Rain? I'm trying it now, for the 10th time, with an R8 '05 with SS's....all my bob's are Level 37-39.

I've lost with the following:
1. Peugot 908.
2. Jag JJ
3. Sauber

Sigh...

Do you mean Sports Softs? Yes, they can work alright in the rain. They don't provide as much grip in the wet as Racing Intermediates, but they will last much longer. They don't burn up in the dry, so you can run on one set for the entire race and not pit, as long as Bob can keep his stamina up.

"Racing Soft" slick tires (a.k.a. super soft) are ineligible for the race, but I've found in A-Spec that they can grip as well as Racing Intermediate (grooved) tires in the damp. Unrealistic, since they should hydroplane, but they work.

Thanks yes meant Sport Softs.

I'm just frustrasted, I've tried every combo and car combination.

Wondering if I should just do the R8 '05 with Sport Softs the entire way...my Bob's are all level 39's (from cold to hot), so they can last, it's usually the tires that wear first...

Does the 4WD help with tyre wear as well?

Here is my post from another thread about this. The R35 TC was the first car I tried when the seasonal started. But I effed up by not taking on fuel. :dunce:

The answer is yes, it definitely helps with tire wear. Check my tire wear at the end with 7 laps on RI tires.

I would have won in the R35 TC if I had taken fuel at the pit stop. I foolishly assumed the car could do the 10 laps on a full tank. It will do 9.

What?! And how?!

Edit: Lv38 Bob just got one to 5th overall, 40s down. I can see a fifteen second gain from strategy in there now, but those other 25s are still asking "What?! And how?!".

I finally got around to running it again with the R35 TC.

I set the car up for even tire wear with Bob driving it.

Started on Race Hard. I stopped on lap 3 and put on intermediates (and took on 10 liters, unlike my first attempt!). I kept Bob running bottom of the red the whole race. I was running 5th most of the time. I was maybe 20 seconds down on lap 9 when the leaders stopped. I stayed out. I put Bob at the top of the blue and cruised to victory.

Ok this is crazy! Trying new strategy here- I'm in 2nd and decide to put on fresh RI's on lap 7/8. I push it hard for 2 laps and after the field pits I regain 2nd starting the last lap. Pass the leader after a 1/4 lap and have a nice lead coming into the last 1/4 lap. All of a sudden I lose my tires again and get nipped at the line. So the RI's did not last 3 laps! Is this game rigged so you cannot win if your Bob is not a high level? Both of mine are 34. What else explains tires lasting less than 3 laps? This also happened in an 2 earlier races where the tires lasted 7 laps then 5 and now 3. What is going on here?

Did Bob spin out? Losing it in the grass and doing a 180 will obliterate your rubber. RI's should otherwise last 4 or 5 laps in the wet.

No, no spin outs. in fact the last lap was well controlled. The weird thing is i had 1/2 my rubber at the beginning of the last lap. I tried same strategy with SS but just can't get the same speed or keep it on the track.

everyone is saying to use a 2J and I think "great, gives mine a good use". After lap 4 I take the lead then at the end of lap 5 I'm down to 4th, lap 7 I'm 9th and I was pushing my bob all race. and no, he didn't make any mistakes. going to try my GTR like the guy above.

Did you fit a stage 3 turbo and increase the top speed of the 2J? That's all I do, wins the race very easily.
