What up guys, great job on the pics, the video and the race cards everything looks great, and Im having a great time being involved in this series. Just in case anyone is interested I sometimes host a room for training. The room is called "come on down" I only do it at random times and I only use the track coming up and run laps on it, but i do short races when other people get in the room. I usually set the hp between 355hp to 500hp and I set the weight limit to 720kg. The reason I do this is because the Lotuseses can run faster than other cars with the same power and because if I can beat faster cars than I can run faster when the race comes. So keep an eye out for the room online, everyone is welcome and I kick anyone thats racing dirty or being a d bag.

Have you guys decided on the day yet? Still saturday or are we doing it on sunday? I'd like to know, so I can plan my weekend.

Awesome video guys! Thanks a lot for the effort.
The only thing that would be better is if I got 1 position higher. :)

I'm looking forward even more now to the next one.

I see you added new race report cards! I am not disputing the use of your race report cards, nor am I advocating the use of mine, but I feel that the ones that I made were more concise yet with the need for refining. My only concern is that your iteration of the card is reserved for only the race winners, I thought it would be useful for everyone involved in the race should it have had positions 1 to 12.

I can see the need for a more compact card, which is exactly what you have done, but my idea was for an image that was integrated into the structure of the thread that contained information that would usually be cluttered around the thread. I feel that your card is slightly neglected to one side of the page.

Of course I understand that you are organising the whole tournament and you have your own way of running it, and that is your right, but I hope you can take my comments on-board and possibly find a compromise?

These comments may be down to my own tastes but I feel that my design was more fitting to the overall design of the website. I will say that both our designs have their strengths, and weaknesses, and maybe you or I could design one that unites these strengths into the ultimate race report card!

Please don't take this post the wrong way; I am just expressing my opinions and hope you can see how much I care about the running of the tournament and the way it's presented. You really are doing an excellent job!

I totally agree with everything you say, but I had to go to my mums so I rushed the cards.
I will add to them. :)

I'd lost this thread... LOL

Pop back and get to see the video's, pics everything. Brilliant job!

See you guys Sunday... I'll be the one at the back!

I almost forgot about the race, got in a big rush, kicked my wife off the tv to get the game loaded up, searched for this thread to make sure my car was to spec(missed the first race), only to find out its tomorrow. Oh my, the stress, lol. See you all tomorrow!

Haha. Made me chuckle... Cya tomorrow ;)

Great job on the Race Cards, I think the jazzy names from your card and the amount of information from mine combines to make a really good combination!

I am slightly worried about the race tomorrow; I don't want to be 2 seconds a lap behind like on the Nurburgring. In my practice sessions I have got times in the very high 1:23s and a good consistent lap time of 1:24.5XX.

I like the idea of a pit stop, it will be good to see how different strategies work. I just hope I don't totally mess it up and pit at a stupid time!

Im hitting 23's aswell, but I am racing with EERS4YEARS right now and he just put in a 1.21.006... TEACH ME DUDE?!

I've put a bit more practice in offline and managed to get into the high 1.21s. If I were to spend a few hours at it then I think that I could hit sub-1.21.500 quite easily. But, with golf and exams getting in the way I have not had much time to get faster.

In reality, I'm quite pleased with the kind of speed I am achieving. I have only been playing racing games seriously for 1 year, despite playing Gran Turismo 1 back in 1998, and have not truly learnt any track! I'm just trying to make a bad finish feel better. :)

I used to play simulators when I was a kid, but my wheel broke so I stopped... :D You will do fine, just keep practicing.

High 21's?? Me thinks I'll have to settle for a lower spot than last time around... I'm glad if I can pull 24's :scared:

See you guys tonight!

What can I do to join your room. I searched long time for a proper on-line race. I'm a clean & gently driver, doesn't mean that i'm slow :)
Sorry in advance for my poor English. I just hope You guys understand me.

Add TeamLotus_Europa on PSN and I will let you know if we have a slot open

Race 18 laps in:
Bakugekiki is leading Sephy71 by half a straight right now, the_xeriff has just pitted, and GTP_OnlyMe has passed him into 3rd, TeamLotus_Seven is in 5th and Parkside is 6th, P_O_P_E is 7th and Torzilla is 8th.

BLASTO-MATIC quit after a few mistakes and TeamLotus_Europa and Esprit both retired due to losing time to a heavy collision.

Hi guys,

First up, congrats to everyone who managed to complete the 30 laps 👍

I personally don't like Laguna that much, so I was a bit afraid for my chances this week. Much to my suprise I managed 3rd in qualy, only to go off in the first turn, like a newby (did I mention I don't like Laguna :sly:). To avoid colliding with someone while returning to the track, I decided to let every one go by and make my way from the back.

So in last position I continued, giving me a good view of what was happening in front. I must say that I thought this race was quiet a bit more chaotic in the beginning than the first race. However I managed to make my way through the field nicely. Untill I came across Lotus_seven, with whom I also faught in the first race. Today again we were about evenly matched for pace, so in trying to pass him, I made a first big mistake and went off track big time (luckily without damage).

I got back on track and was soon back in 5th position. I passed Lotus_seven as he pitted about mid-race. I had decided to make my pitstop after about 20 laps, hoping the extra time would've given me enough lead on the person behind me. But that went out the door when I had the above-mentioned off. So Seven overtook me when I was pitting, putting me back in 5th.

Shortly after my pitstop I had a second off because of pushing the cold tires too hard. I thought 'this is it, 5th it will be'. But on lap 23 or 24 I saw Seven's arrow go round, so I got renewed hope on 4th and was indeed able to pass him going up the hill to the corkscrew (though luck, mate!).

There wasn't any more to be gained after that, the top 3 was waaay beyond my reach. So I'm happy with 4th after expecting to finish 5th.

Nice race everyone!! As I said, though luck Seven. I have a feeling we'll be battling on a few more occasions though.

I also would like to make a few general remarks:
1. Could we please keep text-chat to a minimum during the race? It's kind of distracting for the guys still pushing hard (at least, it was for me :) )
2. Timing. This was a sunday in stead of Saturday, and in fairness, it suited me better this way. If this would be the case for everyone, I hope we can keep it on sundays in the future. If it switches back to saturday, I'll be certain to miss the race on feb 12th (got a gig that day), and propably also the one on feb 19th.

Big thank you 👍 to the Lotus-team for organizing this great series!!

We will keep race days on sunday from now on mate.
Thanks for your rave review, heres mine.

I came out of the pack from qualifying 5th. Overtook GTP_OnlyMe who went wide, but round the penultimate corner from Corkscrew, me and Esprit made contact and my race was over. There :D I didnt even complete a lap lol.

i qualyed 7th cos i joined late, and i got a good start got up to 5th on the first corner. On the 4th corner i had a crash with europa, i was at the back of the pack by a long time, so i thought i might as well quite and have my tea :L
