Legalization of Marijuana

Seeing you're from Spain, I have a question for you When I was in Madrid last year I thought I saw a lot of people smoking weed, but they were just cigarettes rolled in smoking papers everybody else uses to smoke weed. Why is that?

You mean ciggies rolled in long 'Smoking' papers used to roll joints? Tobacco doubled in price here in a year or 5 so many just roll shag now to save some money.

Sounds crazy though. I don't even like spacecake.. Never tried it but too many friends with negative experiences. Not tripping their minds out (well, some of them) but they ate it, had to wait too long, got bored, started smoking

It's either instant, or it hits you several hours later. Like when you are at your evening job.

That explains a lot 👍 They use shorter rolling papers here. Like half the size.

People use the word tripping with out an idea what tripping actually is. Being super stoned != tripping, sorry people.

I don't care about people smoking marijuana if it's medicated. If you're going out and buying from random people you don't know what it could be laced with. I don't know. Growing up with someone that smoked weed a-lot it got really annoying to smell and even see due to the problems it sprung up. (Getting kicked out, ect.) Sounds more like he abused it than anything other. I don't think you are supposed to use it all the time.. I don't have any empathy with people who smoke all day and ruin their social life either, just like with alcohol. Self control!!

I'm not too sure if it was abused. Oh well, I don't really care if you abuse it or not, I don't want to be bothered with the stuff or the people smoking it and that's if you're high around me or around me with it.

I feel basically the same for different reasons. I have never liked marijuana. Never liked the high. Never even like potheads for the most part. But, I am highly considering starting to smoke for medical reasons. I can't say that I am that excited about it. But the benefits are tough to deny.

I've smoked it before and I don't understand it either. It was interesting but I'd rather spend my money on something with a sober experience. If I were in need of it for medical reasons I wouldn't mind it but I don't need it so I'm not going to smoke it just for 'fun'. Waste of time and money.

For me, it comes down to three things. Take twenty pills a day and pray they work. Or have ten inches of my colon removed for comfort. Or smoke marijuana. Not a tough choice given the options.

Smoking should be done at home me thinks, not sure what you mean with 'around me' but I assume its not always in his house. I wouldn't like to be forced in to that smell either... Or hanging around with what you think is your friend but he isn't even able to do a conversation with you.

Before you buy some, there are many different kinds that gives you different experiences. Some are more mentally focussed and some others physically. It took me some time to discover what I like and what not. Most of them I don't like..

I used to smoke something that was pretty mentally focussed and was 'out of order' almost every time I smoked it. Kept trying different things until I found 'the one'. It chills me out a bit and makes my body a little bit numb. Physical pain goes away and my mental state is very relaxed but still motivated to go out and do things.

Also, my concentration level has gone up by a mile. A huge plus!

Do they make an E-cigarette type thing for it (I don't know if vaporizers smell or not)? If so, buy them one for their next birthday or Christmas, or just because you don't want to smell it, and ask them to use it while around you. If tobacco smokers can do that then pot smokers should be fine.

Pretty much. It gets rather annoying however. Imagining eating outside and most people that walk by are smoking really nasty smelling pot. It can ruin your meal. It's particularly bad in my town, due to the high amount of college students. Pun intended.

They do. I, in fact, have a few that can double as a hash oil pen. It is a great alternative, as they generally smell like the intended flavor. Not the back side a horse.

Legal or not, it's still a drug. Although the smell would make me want to smoke it, I really don't like the idea people smoking it on street. The same with alcohol, you don't drink alcohol in public areas like train stations, malls or what ever. It's not because of the smell but because it's a state changing drug.

The problem with it is how easily it is hidden. A hash oil pen is easily pocketable. A joint can easily look like a cigarette from afar. Cops are having a hard time keeping it off the street. Because its so hard to do, the cops aren't enforcing that part of the law.

Then the high has very little to do with the THC present. Warning someone about going too hard on a spacecake because the time you did it "may" have had LSD without mentioning that minor detail is just a touch misleading.

And your logic falls apart at casinos and sporting events. Drinks are flowing and you can walk anywhere with a drink in your hand.

It's not allowed to drink in certain public areas here and I think that's good. And if I remember correctly it's also not allowed to have an opened alcoholic drink with you, like a bottle.

My logic doesn't falls apart because you can't inhale alcohol when standing next to a person who is drinking it. You can inhale the smoke of a joint so that's why I think smoking in public is not done. Personally I have a smaller problem with cigarettes, but I'm glad it's not allowed in public transport and such things.

If you are just walking in the park or a not crowded area I have no problem with people drinking alcohol or smoking weed because then you have less chance of forcing someone to inhale it.

It's a topic I hate debating because it seems like everyone for it is extremely stubborn.

I'm for it's legalization for the simple fact that cigarettes and alcohol are. I don't smoke but I don't see anything wrong with people that do. Why stop someone from using something that is just as harmful or more so to the user and bystanders (inhaling smoke) and doesn't cause the elevated level of bad judgement seen in alcohol?

It's a topic I hate debating because it seems like everyone for it is extremely stubborn.

People can get that way when you want to violate peoples' rights and pack prisons full of folks that haven't done anything to anyone.
