I must admit that when I first smelt someone smoking weed, it smelled very copper-y. :dopey:

I think the wheels are kinda in motion in the western world. I don't think it'll be too too long before it's legalized, at least in my experience most Canadians I know who are of working age or younger either smoke or don't care if people do.'

I just don't see how anyone can look at the current Canadian laws (if you're growing 6 or more plants = automatic 1 year jail time) and think that's rational. Should we really be preventing people from recreational smoking at gunpoint?

No, the most the government should do is advise and dissuade against drug use. Not imprisonment. They should know, especially the US, that prohibition didn't work for alcohol and only led to more violence. Shoot, if the USA decides to legalize it then the neighbors south of the border might see respite from the violence of cartels. That said, they'll only move onto the next commodity that is in hot demand.

Shouldn't even do that, that's probably what leads to it being illegal in the first place. There is nothing wrong with drug use, drug abuse is what's dangerous and that goes for abusing just about anything.

What were they smoking? Never in my experiences have I smelled that..

Here you guys casually talk about smoking marijuana etc when I have never even tried the stuff.

Funny how some things which are perfectly legal, well almost, in one country can carry a death sentence in another.

Theocracy is a fun thing, isn't it? The stance on a lot of "sinful" things down there is, at the least, quite absurd in my mind.

Finally!!!

All it needs is Obama's signature, and he's not opposed to it.

Neither have I. Nor do I ever intend to. Still don't think it should be illegal though.

"the findings cannot prove that marijuana use caused the brain differences" & "it's not clear whether these brain changes are harmful in people." & "This research was funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Office of National Drug Control Policy, Counterdrug Technology Assessment Center...". Just like the comments on the article page, I'm not buying it.

Bullcrap. They've had years to figure that out, the only reason they are "saying anything" now is because legalization is so close to becoming reality.

True, but I was thinking on a nationwide level more so than a couple states.

For some of us, it already is a reality.

Yes, but it is also an illusion! There are two great problems: (1) Legalization of industrial hemp is seriously lagging, and (2) Legalization of marijuana serves only to formalize the necessity of better drugs and entertainment to anesthetize the masses to fewer jobs, lower wages, and selectively restricted freedoms.

I was more saying the transition is already happening. The studies that are anti-legalization are typically hilarious in how poorly executed and the standards they argue.

1 - I would agree.

2 - Lower wages aren't a bad thing, certainly better than this $15 dollar an hour nonsense going around. And the masses will distract themselves regardless of drugs or not - television has done a damn fine job and if you feed the population LSD, they might just get over a lot of the trivial issues anyhow.

I 100% agree.

So he may have been under the influence of pot, based on having found a receipt for same on the premises. The results of a blood test weren't available, but of course that didn't stop them from headlining the article with "Denver Man Accused of Killing Wife May Have Eaten Pot Candy". Yep, today's journalism at its best.

If he's got GTA in the house then we can wrap this up and all go home.

Just gonna leave this here. Pepe "El puto amo" Mujica saying: "If to be free, I have to consume a drug then I'm screwed. My freedom is in my head, or else I don't have any".

Happy weed day! Didn't know it existed but i'm gonna light one up to commemorate the occasion 👍

You know '4:20' right? Happy weed day everybody 👍

Seeing you're from Spain, I have a question for you :D When I was in Madrid last year I thought I saw a lot of people smoking weed, but they were just cigarettes rolled in smoking papers everybody else uses to smoke weed. Why is that?

The "problem" with pot candy here in Colorado is the fact that it isn't regulated like the smoking kind. Meaning that they can pit however much pot in the edibles as they like. So they are making them super super strong to entice customers. But they are putting to much in them. Its a rather insane high, from what I am told.

So if I go on holiday...???

Sounds crazy though. I don't even like spacecake.. Never tried it but too many friends with negative experiences. Not tripping their minds out (well, some of them) but they ate it, had to wait too long, got bored, started smoking
