So what exactly is the 'beef with the continued exclusion of the Ford Roadster and Suzuki Escudo?

If I had known this back when they were hot I would have purchased them...

I suspect there is something broken with the LCD! Maybe every time a new update gets released they go to the back of the queue 😂

Some of us haven’t had the game long enough to even have a chance to buy them period. You’d think PD would be aware of this and ensure that the rotations happen but it seems like those two cars got skipped somehow, either intentionally or unintentionally.

Maybe we (as a community) should write a letter or some kind of petition to PD asking to fix the bug with Escudo and Roadster, because it prevents all customers who bought GT7 later to complete their collection.
One could create a poll who wants to sign digitally and then put under the letter that xx members have signed.

Do you think something like that would make sense and GTPlanet editors would forward the petition to PD?

It will come back eventually. Life will not end if you do not collect every car in a video game.

What goes through your mind when you're writing comments like this?

The Escudo and the Roadster have not come back to the LCD since their initial sale and have missed every projected reappearance since.

Maybe it's a bug, maybe it's by design. We have no way of knowing because of PD's overcomplication of what should have been a simple system and their refusal to communicate. All we know is the players who want to drive these particular cars are just left to hang.

What goes through my mind is an attempt to understand how critical to one's existence the appearance/acquisition of certain virtual items in a video game are to some people, and a complete and utter failing to do so. Thus my only conclusion is to attempt to convince them that life does in fact go on.

How can I put this - currently you are reading these words on a GT Planet forum, where people usualy talk about video games, in this case GT7, and specifically legendary cars, because it's a thread dedicated to that topic. It's not a topic about life existence, food supply or global warming, so let people have their fun, if they want to be annoyed because they invested thousand hours of their free time into a hobby, and can't achieve a goal that they set for themselves, let them be annoyed, how does it affect you?

You want to convince complete strangers that they don't actually want to be able to drive the cars they said they wanted to drive and have been waiting for months to do so.

Why?

How does that figure into your "attempt to understand" why not being able to access certain cars advertised to be available in a game they paid to play for no discernible reason can be frustrating?

It doesn't affect me, and I never said that it did. I don't need to have a personal interest in trying to relieve others of stress and bring about a better sense of satisfaction.

No, I don't want to "convince them that they don't want to drive the cars." I'm trying to convince them that they don't "need" to drive the cars right now, or within any set time frame, and to stress oneself out (here, to the point of creating a useless online petition) over not being able to do so is damaging their well-being. The cars will reappear eventually, most likely. And if they don't (let's say PD lost the license for any of them and had to remove them from the game), oh well...life goes on. There's no sense in getting upset about something so trivial.

You don't get to decide that for them.

I still cannot see how this facilitates your "attempt to understand" in any way.

You're right that it's not my decision, but that doesn't mean I can't try to help.

And it doesn't facilitate my "attempt to understand," because I've concluded that I will never understand.

Dude, you're trying way too hard to be a contrarian. You're here just like the rest of us; stop acting like you're too cool to care, lol. You are the equal and opposite reaction to that which you're arguing against. A stereoisomer of the "where Escudo at" crowd.

@Bob7398 That was one of the "most requested" cars that had the "hot" tag, and apparently that doesn't affect the cycle as I've seen the same thing happen in the UCD. Thought it was kind of strange myself but that's PD for ya...

The world requires balance. I'd hate to see a new visitor to GT Planet encounter nothing but whiny, entitled children crying about "Where's my XYZ!?!?!?!?"

Fair enough, I guess? I don't see how that is remedied by several people asking on every page "When is the Escudo coming back?"
In a thread that tracks the availability of cars in the LCD? It indicates that there's currently no way of getting this car. It shows that there's a known issue (known by the community if not by PD). That it's not an isolated problem that only affects them.

Slightly more helpful than being told that "life goes on."

I admire the real life significance of the Escudo and I love that it makes very short work of the Sardegna grind in the game. It sucks that it's not been available for those who weren't able to buy it during its initial appearance in the shop.

I wonder what gives a better impression to a supposed new visitor: to see that people are asking when an [iconic fan favourite car] will be available again? Or to see someone dismiss those questions (potentially questions they themselves came here to ask) as "whiny entitled children crying" because "it's not the end of the world"?

Some of the cars that were considered 'most requested' that came up over the Christmas period that popped up in both the UCD and LCD were definately head scratchers. The R8 Gordini surely is not more desired than he likes of the F40, F1 or the 787B which are constantly being requested for. Same as in the UCD, I sweat one of the 'hot' cars was the A112 Abarth '85???

With the exception of the 1988 McLaren MP4/4, all of the Christmas-time UCD/Hagerty's "Hot" cars were cars required to complete extra menu collections. The inclusion of the McLaren was a combination fig-leaf (to allow PD to claim the cars were "highly" desirable) and middle finger to those of us who want the Escudo and Ford Roadster.

Semi-related; the Autobianchi was a 1-day special.

I want that damn roadster more than I want the 356A. ...Which says something because I'm a big Porsche nerd.

Ahh ok, I though I read somewhere that they were the most sort after cars based on how many people had added them to their wishlist, but that could have just been a load of BS coming from PD's end.
Makes sense that people would add vehicles from the extra menus to their wishlist but would have thought that there would be some of the fan favourites cars there too.

Yeah, had to pick up the F40 tonight. Im not working as hard on the daily grind this past week. LCD hasn't had much of what I want, but I'll likely pick up the Jag Gr.1 car as well this weekend. Hopefully there is a bit of a lull in good LCD cars so I can build up a bigger stash of credits for a big car drop, like the Escudo or some other good car. It sucks to see a good car come to the LCD and you have 300k credits to your name. Lots of grinding to built up the bank account in such a short time to buy them.
