How does it drive? Curious if I want to pull the trigger on buying it.
I tried it last night on Nordschleife which is my go-to testing track, and I really don't like it.

Stock - horrible. SS tyres - a little less horrible but still... It has some strange weight transfer, whenever you turn in it just loses the rear end, it behaves like some kind of badly balanced MR car. I tried like 7-8 setups and upgrades just to see if I can tune it to be acceptable, and yes it can be, but only when you install custom rear wing and max out the downforce, but it spoils the looks totally. It can be tuned to be a decent PP600 car but come on... For 20 million, you can tune 100 cars to be decent PP600.

So for me, this purchase was just for collection purposes, I won't be driving it.

I agree.
My heart regularly bleeds when I have to mount custom wings on beautiful, older vehicles just to keep them on the track.

Grinding Sardegna to buy the McLaren - need another 5 runs I think, then I can finally get it! And just when the McLaren turns up, the Jag XJ13, and Shelby Cobra 427 also show up... This must be one of the most expensive weeks in the LCD - 300 SL, Alfa 8C and 250 GTO all at 20 mil, XJ13 at 12 mil, F1 GTR at 10.3 mil, MP4/4 at 8 mil... That's over 90 million credits in itself!

Oh, and I don't own any of the above yet (probably won't ever own them all).

Try not to stress yourself!
The XJ13 is really a pleasure to drive. Also the 20M McLaren. The MP4/4 lost a lot of power during the updates and is IMO no fun anymore at 800PP. It's nearly a crime offer such a legendary car without a legendary race in honor of its former pilot.
Instead you can use it as a bad alternative for Sardegna.

The truth is IMO, that most of the expensive legends are not worth the grinding. And one would find always cheaper alternatives, also for the XJ13.

The "problem" is that one goal of the game was defined in collecting them ALL (there's one board where we don't want to have grey parts). So most of us (me included) try to get them all.

The fact that they offer the most expensive cars in a short period of time is really ugly (I tried to split it up and buy two or three in every rotation because I will never support micro transactions - by the way I even could not effort to buy them all).

If we could be cool enough to buy just, what is really enjoyable to drive and worth the money, it would be relaxed.
But the game motivates to collect and collect, and we all guess that there is a strategy behind 🤑

Cheers
M

Looking like we will hopefully get the F40 next week. Fingers crossed!
It better be there next week. I've been looking for it for quite some time since I have an Enzo engine laying around. What about the Jeep though? I think that one went out of stock just before the update dropped where the engine swap was added.

The Jeep was last in 11/28, selling out 12/6, which should put it about 26th in the regular rotation. None of the "trophy three" should be back before the Jeep, but the Celica rally car might be.

You can win the Jeep by playing the game. No need to wait for the Legendary Dealership to bring it back.
One Jeep...and only one Jeep...can be won that way. That is a "slight" problem if one wants to have a Jeep that has a stock engine and one that has a swapped engine (or one that has a standard-width body and one that has a wide body). Once an engine is swapped, or a wide body kit is installed, there is no way to reverse that (unless one has the engine from the 2002 Nissan Silvia as that engine is available as a swap from the roulette wheel).

Exactly. I already have the one that can be won, but I need a second one for the engine swap. And by the way, the fact that a new body won't undo a wide body mod has got to be one of the most nonsensical design choices in the history of the Gran Turismo franchise. I guess I can at least take comfort in the fact that I found this out through the example of a Mini and not a McLaren F1...

Toyota 2000GT ’67 with only 7 kms this time around. One of the closest to zero in Legends I’ve seen, I think. Definitely picking it up.
I personally couldn’t care less about the mileage on cars in the UCD and LCD. I do care however about the colours but I already have the 2000GT in its white colour.

Now where is that BMW 3.0 CSL in its metallic grey + M stripe? 😕

Until I can tell the difference between 7km and 70,000km on a used car the mileage is meaningless to me as well. I want the 2000GT but not for 22% more than the previous asking price presumably because of the 7kms.

As far as colors, disappointing that GT7 makes the whole color shopping redundant since you can simply paint it your desired color for a small price. Makes the excitement of finding a used car in the color you want kind of pointless in almost all cases.

If I could decide they’d all be at zero, or give us some expensive trick at the shop where we can mess with and reset the odometer. Can even put a hypothetical reset at 500,000 Cr. or a mill, I’d definitely still buy it to fix lots of the pre-2001 cars.

7 is so little that I can sort of imagine that’s nothing and claim it as my own. Something not possible with the UCD bull and as well as many appearances in LCD.

Question for you…

Any idea if the mileage at purchase affects the timing of the next engine & rigidity maintenance and if there’s a point (after x mileage) where maintenance has to be done more frequently? I’ve only had to do it on maybe (3?) cars so far.

No clue. I change the oil when it says it's worn and the car has no issues to speak of. The mileage doesn't even effect resale value. I had 2 of the same car, one with 0 miles and a used one with 35k miles. Both appraised at the same price at the used dealership. So mileage doesn't seem to mean anything to the game.

Anything is possible, so I would think higher mileage cars would require overhauls more often, but I rarely drive them that extensively so I’ll probably never know.

Anyone have a clue if the '97 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion (Haggerty's) is going to re-appear ??

I dont remember what game this car underwhelmed me, either FM7 or this game... probably Forza 7, because of that I don't think I bought it in GT7.

BTW, has anyone been able to time the Mac F1 hitting Legendary dealership? I've skipped out on the last 3-4 silver F1, I think this go round I'll pull the trigger.
