Why do you need to collect all 500 cars as soon as possible and make a „full time job“ out of it?
I was not talking of getting all of them. Where do you put the cursor between all the cars you'd like to buy and test ? I barely make 1M credits per day (if I play) so collecting all cars is not a goal I strive nor care for.

If I think about buying a car for 6M, it needs to be really interesting to worth 6 days of play. Or it is a car I already really like, have memories with or else.

Hence the picking of some cars among the mass, and as wisely as possible due to how much they cost.

What's the easiest way to see which trophies you've acquired, without logging onto the console?
https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/15576-gran-turismo-7/Lomic2 <- for example (I find it more convenient that the included tool on PS5)

At one point I too thought it would be impossible to collect so many of the LCD cars; the prices can appear overwhelming, especially early on and I was given the advice to collect invitations and LCD before spending too much at BC.

I wasn’t sure where to begin so last year I made the thread below. It has a list of all the LCD cars as of December 22’, with their “then” prices, categories etc… I asked for advice from members on which are the most important (in their opinions) to grab first (obviously there are some great additions that have been added since then). Aside from any cars to grab for sentimental reasons, I found it helpful to prioritize cars that were considered “gems”, a handful of which are listed in the comments. Because I approached it this way I’ve been able to keep a good size “buffer” of credits so I don’t have to earn on the fly when something comes up.

Now it’s May and I think I’ve collected ~320 mil in cars now and have 100 mil in credits to spend (holding out for the potential ability to buy engine swaps discussed lately). Anyway, it’s far more than I ever thought I would have made. After you have the cars you really want credits will keep piling up while you’re just having fun with the game and can pick up others for collectors sake

Quick Advice:
Earning:

  • Do all the circuit experiences
  • Do all the Time Trials (I always forget them)
* Check this other thread to make credits when you don’t want to grind the Big Four. The bottom post by @floydant has the most “up to date” list

Buying:

    • Pick up the LCD cars you want the most first and Engine Swaps & Extra Menus
    • Consider grabbing some of the cheaper < 1mil as you go if you really want to collect most or all the cars
    • Have fun with the cars you’ve bought and pick up the $$$ ones later

I'm hoping I can get the Jag D-Type and the Merc Barker this round. I'm dealing with some shoulder issues right now and using the sim rig is incredibly painful so I'm back to using a controller. Unfortunately, I suck with a controller (relatively speaking) and my best grind race is currently Le Mans to get a guaranteed win and CRB. Maybe I should go back to Sardegna and try those as well.

Back on the LCD rotation topic, is the Jag XJ13 due to replace the Ferrari 330 now that's gone out of stock? It's the last one I need from that trio...

Yeah but I personally rather go risking to miss out on them for a while and enjoy the cars I actually own, instead of making a game into a full time job where cars turn into numbers that I need to own and not machines that I want to experience.
The fact that GT7 can turn into a "full time job" for players that want to access all the basic content in the game (i.e. the cars) on a human time scale should mean that the FOMO design needs a rethink.

Or it means that the FOMO design was well thought of. 500 hours of grind for those who want to catch them all, not counting the time to play the rest of the game, and many cars hidden behind invitations which makes it very important to get as much tickets you can...

I thought the F1 GTR should have been here for close to a week now… I guess only Nenkai knows when it’s going to show up since he somehow knows that the price changed when I just expected it to change.

Just finish buying the D-type 54 and the S Barker. I'm gonna focus on buying the rest of the cars before I continue buying multiple of my favorite cars.:)

I just bought the D-Type and set some Nordschleife lap times with it, made a custom race with the Maserati and the DB3S and just enjoy driving it, it handles very good and sounds great.
The purpose of having these cars in this game in my opinion, is to drive them, enjoy them, not just collect and then grind for the next one. You are missing out on something really good here.
I agree of course, but I think allowances for different mind sets. Some will always feel slightly agitated or anxious even if they take a step back and try to adopt your outlook. Even though its 'just a game', if you're goal orientated in 'collector' nature kind of way in this game, its not always as a simple as taking a deep breath and enjoying what you have sometimes :D

When is the Porsche Spyder Type 550/1500RS ’55 going to be available again? I’ve been waiting for this car for a while, and it’s now the only car I’m missing to complete all the Extra Menus. Also, how much credit do I need to purchase it? I remember it was like 4.5 mil the last time I saw it available?

Looks like it won't be a fun week for me. Gotta grind for that F1 since I'm not paying 20mil for the road version.

Hmm, that's the last Gr.3 car I would need to complete owning all of them. Do I go for that or the Barker??? I don't think I'll be able to grind enough to buy both.
I’d go for the F1 over the Barker. I drive it regularly and like it enough that I bought 2 more. It performs at least as good as the ‘98 GTR GT500 if not slightly better. The Barker is neat but not very useful or fast, I only drove it when I first got VR but maybe I should give it a go again when I get home.

The F1 GTR has much better usability and you will make your money back with it quicker assuming you want to actually use it VS just collect it.

I have the '97 F1 Gr.2 car and it wasn't that impressive. I'm mostly looking to collect it. I'm not sure if a fully mod'ed Barker could compete in the Tokyo 600pp race or not but that was a thought. Either way, both are just for collection purposes. I have so many better cars than both of these in the garage already.

Well the F1 GTR has a tendency to increase in price, it went up 1.1 million credits since I last saw it, so it might be the better choice from a collecting standpoint. I would just grind more and get both, but I have a lot of free time too…

I used the Hagerty drive club code about a week ago to get the McLaren F1 GTR for free. You have to gia credit card but it’s a free trial and you can cancel without payment. Now I don’t wanna drive it because it has 0 miles lol

I think I might get a Hagertys drive club membership for the free car myself 😁

Are you able to choose any car with this code?
Does it have to be in a current LCD rotation?
