Bought the Barker today. Yeah, not worth it unless you are trying to buy every car in the game. I'm really not sure what race this car would perform well in.

Anyway, I've got another 5M credits to go before I can buy the '95 McLaren. I should be able to do that in the next 2 days.
That’s exactly why it’s one of the 3 cars I don’t have in the game even though I have the money to buy it. I really don’t see it being useful or practical anywhere as of current, and I don’t even think it looks that good to have as a piece to look at. Since there is no reward or trophy for collecting all cars I’m good not having it in my collection or garage. If it becomes part of an extra menu then I’ll get it just to collect the reward.

I went to the livery editor to give it a new paint job and the dust covers for the brakes on the inside of the wheels stays the stock blue color, which is clearly an error on PD's part. My guess is that they will never fix it. Unlike the latest AMG Gr.3 car they released where they left the reflections in the mirrors orange and fixed that in a software patch. I think this is one of those cars where the great majority if players won't buy it, so it doesn't create enough negative publicity to fix it.

It doesn't really matter to me though. I'm on a quest to own all the cars so if it performs well or not doesn't really matter. I already have so many good performing cars that can win all the races in my garage already that having a few that are just there for the looks or the meme play (turning the Barker in to a drifting machine could be a fun thing to do) is what they will have to be.

I bought the Barker a couple rounds ago, not during the one day appearance but the one before that. I have yet to drive it. Along those lines, I've successfully used the Ford Roadster in the Le Mans 700.

I bought yet another F1 GTR for no particular reason other than I had extra credits to burn. Now it’s time to save up for another 917k and probably 2 more F1 road cars, but I’m guessing it will be awhile before those show up again. Might get another F50 and 911 GT1 when those show up as well.

Random thought.
To mitigate stupid "invitation system", all cars that require invitation should occasionally appear in legendary cars dealer. There were already auctions for LaFerrari, Enzo, Carrera GT etc. So why not?
Those cars should be made available by unlocking them by playing some events, not by random chance with lottery tickets where you may never be able to buy them.

Here is all the invites I've received so far (granted I did not play for a few months, and was not tracking my tickets the first 3 months)

Porsche
Pagani
Pagani
Bugatti
Ferrari

It leaves a large number of makes where I've never had the possibility to buy the invite only cars.

Nice :)

I'm debating rather to buy the final 8 F1 GTRs or wait and buy another 5 F1 road car?

Why ? What's the point ?
He just likes the car(s). We all have our thing about GT7. Some want to time trial themselves until they are blue in the face, others want to create awesome liveries. Some want to own a lot of the same car. Some just want to drive in Sports mode. For me, I just want to own all the cars, wheels, paints, win all the trophies and gold everything on hard difficulty. Basically, complete everything in the game. Once I've done that, I may shelve this game for a while. I have no aspirations to be an A+ sports driver with an S rating. I'm fine being a B/S driver.

Edit: I've tried to rationalize with those who complain that they can't buy a certain used car in the paint color they want, or those who want to own 20+ of the same car so they can run a custom race. It's not my thing as I see ways of working around this within the game, but those people are committed to their ways and arguing with them isn't going to change their opinion. Let them play how they want to play. You play how you want to play and I'll play how I want to play.

Same here. Hagerty's told me they had an influx of 150 people asking for codes. I'm presuming because of this thread. 😁
I just found the original email from Hagerty I got a year ago. If you click on the same link it brings up the 917 rather than the F1. I just submitted for the free 917. All because of this thread.

Congrats on wasting Hagerty employee's time for a free thing that you can't even touch.

Ok. I guess.

As a paid Hagerty member and someone who’s purchased many track days worth of insurance, I think them doing a little work for my GT free car code isn’t too much to ask.
You are not the type of person I was referring to.

You quoted that person specifically.
Yes, because they were the last person to post about it. How was I supposed to know that they were an actual Hagerty customer, when the thread has been full of people bragging about taking signing up and then cancelling it once they got the car? Was I supposed to go back through the thread and multi-quote everyone who talked about using Hagerty to get these free cars?
