Yes, because they were the last person to post about it. How was I supposed to know that they were an actual Hagerty customer, when the thread has been full of people bragging about taking signing up and then cancelling it once they got the car? Was I supposed to go back through the thread and multi-quote everyone who talked about using Hagerty to get these free cars?
Why did you feel the urge to make such a comment here in the first place?

If you're concerned about the productivity of Hagerty's employees, have you let the corporate office know that the service they offer is being "exploited"?

To try to get people to not be bottom feeding beggars.
People go out of their way for free vouchers/gifts/sign-up bonuses for anything and everything. This cannot possibly be a new concept you've just come across on your high horse.
And no, but I might now.
What was it you said?
Congrats on wasting Hagerty employee's time.

Woo Hoo! Just enough credits to buy the McLaren:

Only 6 LCD cars left to buy and they are all the big boys (plus the Ford Roadster stuck in purgatory):

- Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta - 20M credits

- Ferrari 250 GTO - 20M credits

- McLaren F1 '94 - 20M credits

- Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W194) - 20M credits

- Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - 20M credits

- Ford Roadster - 450k credits

Yeah, because signing up for a paid service, getting the bonus, and then cancelling said paid service before you get billed is totally the same thing as filling out a sweepstakes raffle or sign-up bonus that the sponsor is knowingly giving away for free.

What was it you said?
Oh, man, I'm sufficiently pwned now. Whatever will I do?

I’m not sure why this got so blown out of proportion based on you quoting my original post, but all I was trying to convey is that anyone with the original email from Hagerty can still use the link in the email. It now brings up the 917 and not the Mclaren. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.

Ooh, Daytona Coupe is back. 20M credits, but out of all 5 heavy hitters, this would probably be the only one I would actually use to grind some credits with. I may have to grind a lot this weekend.

You know this is free advertising for Hagertys right? NGL I signed up for the free car but since I became a member I see they have some really nice benefits and I may still longer. They know that people will join up just to get the car but they also know that some people will stay as well. Before GT7 I never heard of Hagertys. I would never joined them but because of the free car it made sense to me. If you choose not to take advantage of their offer that's cool but don't look down on people who do.

Wednesday could be an expesive day. Up to 5 changes in the lineup with 2 20mil cars I need possible, plus the update content where one or two more may end up in the LCD.
We got one tonight. With another bunch freshly sold out, if the pattern holds of those sellouts disappearing early when a Hagerty's post-launch car is added, a possibility of some more before midnight GMT Thursday.

Looks like a quiet few days ahead after the major refreash of inventory. Next purchase for me is the McLaren F1 '94. Might get another F40 just for the swap if it comes up.

What is the meaning of the ever increasing price of MP4/4?
THIS IS NOT A REAL MARKETPLACE PD!!!!!

It is realism according to PD 🥲 HAGERTY is a very important feature, waiting 200+ days for some car is very fun /s

It is interesting that PD's realism disappears when it comes to selling cars(RNG prices) and when they have to set a prize for some new event(also very random and I wouldn't try to find logic in their decision making) but you have to buy few copies of some cars for engine swaps because of the realism and accept that they will keep increasing prices of the cars because of the realism 🙃

But it is what it is. I wasn't expecting that they will put engine swaps and ultimate parts in shop so who knows when PD will come to their senses also with those features(highly doubt but I will be happily surprised if this happens).

The https://gtdb.io/ site lists the legendary cars and when they were last available, but it seems that it is not updated with the latest few car updates even though it is updated with the correct dates for the cars it does have in its database.

Does anyone know anything about this site and if this lack of car updates have happened before?

It's even more confusing when according to Wikipedia only one MP4/4 has ever actually been privately owned, which means PD is just making the prices whatever they feel, as seen with the latest Nismo GT-R which is around $80,000-$160,000+ on average.
