That’s why it comes down to the driver. Not saying to use the cliché and get bud n9nsense, but just enjoy driving something without all the doodads/aids. :)

I hear you!

I also really looked forward to that Stingray, and that Fridge on Wheels is not dependent on driver as it’s sold. Both that and the D Type qualify as “race cars”, but will require a fair amount of tuning (or racing softs) to compete.

update: threw on racing softs to see if I could take a slight bend at faster than 40mph. Unsuccessful. According to the tuning “stats”, it’s just as good - if not better - than nearly every car I have in the same PP rating. Weird

Good to know.

Anyone bought the D Type yet?
Yep, I got the D-Type and I really enjoy how it drives, you can steer it with the rear. Comfort medium tires by default but the gearing is strange. It accelerates hard but tops out at 220kmh, so I bought customizable manual transmission and lengthened the gears till 4th gear maxed out at 275ish kmh (what Wikipedia said it tops out at :P), now it handles like a dream. I do recommend it.

That seems to be the same with the 250 Berlinetta. PD programmed the specs of the race car, but left the road car transmission settings. It's supposed to be geared for 275km/h, but it's geared, in-game, for 217km/h.

That's been a common PD problem with American muscle cars.

Wait, so it's not normal for muscle cars to do that? It was like this in GT4 and 11 year old me just thought it was because muscle cars were designed to do fast quarter miles and I never thought about it again... Oh god, what other logic from 11 year old me could I still be using? :P

One could order different rear end gears depending on whether one wanted super-fast quarter-mile times or decent top speed (somewhere north of 130 mph).

That's why I want to keep the four speed and just tune that instead sending 5th gear into oblivion. Can't recall if the GT40 is the only car to keep its 4-speed, when adding a race transmission.

Gt40 gets 5-speed if you install any gearbox but stock.

Is it possible that people in different timeones/countries are getting cars on different days?
Did the Z28 '69 only appear today?
I'm almost positive that I bought it yesterday or the day before!

How does the D -Type '54 Jag drive? Anything special? I don't buy cars just to collect. Only fun/interesting drives
You're thinking of the 429 boss my bro. It was there in the LCD and also you might have won it in a 3 card monte before it was available there. I did.

Yeah, personally I hate the car collecting aspect. Seeing the incomplete car collection list triggers my OCD lol
I don't hate, but feel obliged to buy every car, particularly in ucd and lcd when they arrive. I probably will never even try most of them!

Then set up the AFK farming method and earn credits while you sleep :)
@Nielsen this is the way. Understand some have reservations, but for me vastly improves the experience. Don't feel pressure to grind, do races I'm not interested in. Can play the limited time in the game as I want.

If you didn't get the 1967 Ferrari 330 P4, you'll now have to wait another 7 weeks or so to get the "legendary" trophy as it is the sole sell-out.

Is anything on low stock? I feel like I'm gonna get old and senile by the time the Gr.3 McLaren F1 comes around

Not in Hagerty's, so after tonight's single-car refresh, it will be Tuesday night before anything else pops up.

That's the last car i'm waiting on, I have a feeling it's gonna be atleast $15-20 million though so I will have to grind quite abit more before I can potentially afford it.

I hear ya... Want the Mclaren most of all but I've got 70mil to buy the rest of the LCD so I never have to look at it again, lol. Well, aside from the Alfa 155, XJ13, and 917k; didn't have the credits first time around, but as long as I grab the Alfa I'm good with missing the others. Already have 15+ Gr. 1's, have the 330 P4, GT40 MKIV, and the cash for the Daytona so if I miss the jag, whatever. I'll get the S Barker and Alfa 8c when we have a bespoke race for them in 2025, lol

Just three now.

Willys Jeep
McLaren F1 KK Racing '95
Porsche 962C

Everything else has appeared once since Feb 22nd.
You know it's going to be the Jeep everyone has and no one wants, lol. Calling it now since I'm so consistently wrong in my predictions in the hopes that we get the Mclaren

Classic easy way out solution
Agreed. I try to only using racing tires of any sort on actual race cars, whereas road cars gets sports tires. It'll generally depend on what sort of tires the car comes with as-stock. The only exception being cars that come on comfort tires, in which case I just go buy some sports tires.

I'm even going so far as keeping it close to what was actually possible in tire technology for the time the car was raced:
CS grip for cars from until around the 60, SH grip til the early 80s, SS grip from then until the mid/late 90s where RH grip would be possible. Everything above RH is kinda unrealistic imho.
These are rough estimates friends and I go by when doing replica races :D

The jeep was here the first week I think so I don't think it would be that one.
The Jeep was in the 12/17 pre-Hagerty's State of Play. Nobody has seen either the 1995 F1 GTR or the 962C at all, either in the State of Play or in live/reviewer gameplay going back to 2/23.
