But dirt....
It feels like you havent had yours all that long Murcie but I think you've had it just as long, im surprised you're almost done with it!
Do it. But for the love of god, don't put an iPad in the centre console lol.
If you want another 4WD it seems that you have definitely made up your mind. I think the GT-Four and I may part ways at some point and I don't think I'll be getting another 4WD, unless I get an Evo IX. I love the handling and grip but I think I'd like to get in to going sideways a bit more.
It's a bit weird, on my QLD License I would be on P's for two more years but if I transfer it here I would be on for one more year. However if I transfer here I can't drive a turbo at all. Whereas if I keep it in qld I will just buy a wrx and get the exemption (pretty much guaranteed) and more than likely keep it till I am on my opens.Stick with the Scoobs man. But, how much longer are you on P's for? Have you had your license transferred from QLD to SA? Forgive me if that's a silly question but I would imagine that's what would happen when you move states?
It's not the manufacturer, it's what it is. It quite literally must have 35kw atw now. What I need is to step up, next step would be a WRX with subaru's. Maybe my little impreza can be viewed as training wheels .If you fell out of love with your current car why go for another Subaru?
Or did you fall out of love with your car because you modified it?
Part of it sounds like I did because you're getting bored with your car as its your first car. Good things come to those who wait, instead of buying something now because you are bored wait for longer you can get something better, and because you'll be older the insurance will no don't be cheaper.

GT-Rs and Evos aren't P-Plate legal in any state of Australia with the P-Plate restrictions. If only we were in the Northern Territory or Western Australia. "Waiting a bit" will take a much longer time than a couple of months.
Fair enough, just be warned that you may be pulled over quite a bit for an exemption check. I've seen quite a few P-Platers with V8 Commodores (exempted as they use it for work) that still get pulled by the coppers several times a week to check they have the necessary paperwork, and those with naturally aspirated Skylines get pulled because the copper reckons they're turbo'd.
Perhaps replace the WRX badge with an RX badge.
So within the last day or so I have noticed that while reversing the usual gear whine sound of the straight cut gears is about 5 or more times louder than normal. When I put the window down it is so loud that people 10-15m away would most definitely hear it.
The other day I had driven rather quickly in reverse, possibly up to 4krpm (rev limit 6.5k). I own a Subaru Impreza as some of you may know. I am not really sure what the cause of this sound is but in order for it to happen I need to be pressing the clutch in. Off clutch its okay, you get the usual exhaust noise instead but the second the clutch goes in it gets replaced by absolutely horrible whining.
Does anyone have any idea whatsoever as to what this may mean? Im looking to sell the car within a month or two so this is a bit of a pain .
And just as a side note to mods, this isn't in my thread because I need more exposure for the question.
Whine noises are normal when in reverse.
I said its louder than the usual gear whine in the first sentence.Whine noises are normal when in reverse.
What makes you believe that? I dont really have much of an idea as to what it is so any explanation is useful .Maybe it's the syncro ring... if it's the case let it check out or fixed before the gear itself gets damaged.
Just a hypothesis from what I read...
