^Cause you said it makes the noise on the clutch in and that the clutch is okay. The gear itself is okay too.
That takes the clutch out and the gear itself.
Does it makes any noise or is it harder to get it in reverse than before?

It could also come from the flywheel but it would than be wierd that you have nothing in the other gears.

It's just my take, it's hard to say it without hearing it. Maybe make a vid of it...

No reverse drives the same as before and good in the same as before, I will try and make a video if I get time today :).

Theres the horrible sound. Also just as a fun fact, the copper that drives past at 27 seconds pulled into the parking lot to see if I owned the car .

Look at the bottom corner. For me it's the syncroring not completly disengaging, thus making a noise like the gear would only be halfway in. If it is a new problem devlopping it could be that you still haven't an issue in getting the gear in.

But don't nail me down on it if it ain't that

Find a garage with an endoscopic cam. They can look at it without taking everything out.

Either way let it check out as the sound is not good, you don't want to mess up an entire gear or drive with too much splinters in the oil

So the soob is now officially for sale as I have acquired a car to get to work in after the soob sells but before I get a new car.

Anyone interested in the ad can read it here:

It will be on paid advertising within the week.

But what you all really want to see is it's beautiful replacement. Brace yourselves!

1982 (possibly) XE Ford Fairmont, $650 of pure rubbish! It basically has the nickname slammont or fitmont, whichever you prefer. It is in pretty good shape for the price, the outside has a little rust but the interior is complete and original with the only big faults being that the power mirrors dont work and all but one speaker for the original headunit are broken. Aside from that it has a working 4.1l straight six with over a half million k's. All I need to get to work :P.

It actually sits lower than the Subaru I think, it scrapes on all sorts of stuff which im sure is not legal but you know.

Fitmont. Definitely. I'd almost want to keep it just because, well... $650 beater with stance. Clean up the body some, make the fitment more baller, drive it til you break it.

Old school Falcon's don't break.

Workmate of mine used to have a black 87 4.1 XF with a five-speed Toyota 'box in it and five-slot 13" Tridents, was pretty baller even though it was a pile of junk (it blew its head gasket so he swapped it for an equally-junk late-80s Delica)

This, like I said, it has 512000 on it with just as much to go :P.
Is it weird that I prefer the replacement to the Scoob?
Hey, rude! ;)
Not at all. They can be quite a lot of fun to drive. Especially in the wet.
Yeah and being winter the rain is pretty frequent here. Unfortunately its been raining during my shifts and stopping after work .

Rat-rod it.
I refuse to spend a dollar on it!

Aand this has a beautiful Tri-Speed auto, first gear goes to like 75km/h .

Nice Subaru! That's a very nice first car and if you can definitely have fun with it if you want to.

I've always bought my own cars. Sadly, one thing it taught me is that I can't buy a good car. My first 2 cars had some expensive issues, which as a student at the time, was hard to deal with.
What were you're first 2 cars?

One and a half years at work, 5.5k savings later and I finally have a car! I bought it off a family friend on Wednesday night. I have driven a few times since but haven't had any time to properly look at it until today.

(MASSIVE SNIP)
What's the capacity and how many cylinders?

So in one hours time I say goodbye to the soob which is quite depressing, especially as it leaves me with the Fitmont. However, last night I had a look at a 1997 Toyota Chaser JZX-100, one of my all time favorite cars.

It has only driven around 3000k's since import and has around 140k's. I'll put a picture in but it's a white manual, 1jz with 220kw at the rears with a dyno sheet to prove it. It's IMMACULATE inside AND out, with it being one of the only ones here to have white paint with blue pearl. It still has a japan toll tag, japan magazine and japanese rear view mirror in it which I think is awesome . It drives perfectly and ugh, yeah it makes me happy.

It's down to 13.5k, not 17.

I was looking at that myself long and hard. That and a fully engineered TD04 turbo NA MX-5.

http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Mazda-MX-5-1991/SSE-AD-2078325/?Cr=4

They both cost less than what SIC EM did though, so in a way I'd sort of be going backwards with my plan on "moving up" each year. To be honest though that Chaser would be pretty much perfect. Get it.

That is a mean MX-5 but I dont think I could see myself spending 13k on one. Yeah I was a bit concerned that something would be drastically wrong with it but it's literally perfect, theres like 2 marks on it out of the entire body, the interior looks brand new and still has plastic covering over the sidesteps under the doors. And it goes SOOOOO hard, my god. I have a lot of learning to do in that car, that's for sure .

Yep. Get it.

I'm still running through my options for a new(ish) vehicle myself but I still don't have much of an idea of what I want, which is a common problem of mine when presented with too much choice.

EDIT: hang on a tick dude, you sure you're allowed to drive these on P's? Apparently they're even on the banned list in QLD.
