Well it's all official, payment goes through for the Chaser in an hour and I will pick it up soon after. I have never been so keen in my life! I just turned 18 today too so this is such an amazing gift to myself .

I shall keep you all posted!

👍

Ah, good old pearl paint, don't scratch it! Nice car, really great it's a manual I'll bet they're rare. Have fun trying to insure it!:)

Not all that rare. Every Japanese drifter and their mom and grandma has a manual. There's quite a number of them. What's rare, is seeing them outside of Japan. For that, Legend is awesome.

Congratulations on your birthday, and on your epic birthday present Legendary.

Much better than staying in shooting terrorists on COD.

Plus.

HOW COOL IS IT OWNING AN ACTUAL RARE CAR FROM GT ?

Hmm?

Kudos and all that.

:irked:👍

Ummmmmmm... His last car was an Impreza? The last car was definitely in a lot of GT games, including GT5.

Yeah...you know...it's kinda cool ;)

Here's one photo i've put up, i'll do the rest tomorrow I think. Nice and wet, cooling down after being a bloody handful. The second boost hits in first and second in the wet its sketchy as all hell .

Remember, aim for the bigger gaps in traffic, if you're worried. If you've got nowhere to go in order to catch the oversteer, you're in trouble. If you've got room to catch it, you're golden.

It needs to be raised a bit, it is on coilovers so that's good. The front bar needs to come off (standard one is behind it) as it's too damn low and scrapes on everything. The exhaust needs to be mounted higher if possible as it also scrapes and the car in general needs to come up a bit because i'll get murdered by police for having it that low and the undercarriage has already scraped once so far.

1: Police shouldn't care, as long as you don't attract their attention. I've got "illegal headlights" on my car, according to niky and SlipZtrEm, but I've actually gotten the old highbeam-flash from a police officer, but never been pulled over. If I had bright headlights, and drove 300 km/h, yes, I would be pulled over, and ticketed for everything, including the headlights.

2: Nothing wrong with scraping, just make sure it doesn't snag. If your muffler gets pulled clear off, that's when it's a problem. My go-kart scrapes  because it's definitely hellaflush... And the local drifters (they drift on public roads, like idiots) scrape all the time.

Duuude don't lift it, it looks perect as it is :0

I say what's above because this.

Legendary, I don't know much about obscure (at least to me) Japanes cars, what engine is this?

Straight-six (a la Supra) or a turbo four-pot?

Very nice, Legendary. I do quite like these large rear wheel drive Toyota barges. I understand how annoying it is to be so low to the ground, but if you do end up raising it though, don't raise it too much, I think it looks pretty good as it is right now.

I think it'll look good a little higher anyway, the lines don't quite flow right at this level.

The Chaser was my favorite starter car in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 so I've always wanted one. Too bad it'll be another ten years or so before anybody can try and legalize one over here.

Your asthmatic Impreza wouldn't even get close to 300, let alone 200km/h.

We need moar pics Legendary.

A couple of things. Manuals are pretty rare in Australia and almost impossible to get for this price.

I am not pushing it into oversteer on the road like that it just wants to to do it before I change gear.

And yes cops will ruin my life because it is law here to be at least 100mm off the ground at it's lowest point. The fact is that it is impractical at the moment and as good as it looks it needs to be slightly higher.

1Jz, 2.5l straight six single Turbo. 206Kw at the fly stock.

The imprezas absolute top speed was 173, not even limited by gearing .

What rims on your car? They look really familiar but I can't seem to place them.

Lowest structural point. Exhausts and bodykits are not structural. Hight looks good

It might be different between states? I'll have to look into that.

How did I miss the huge "MODEL F" on the spoke?!

Nice car, I loved your Impreza and I think I love this even more. The Chaser is a car that I really want to own at some point.

Nice car Legendary 👍 I've been looking at Chasers on import sites recently. They go for surprisingly little money. Of course, you then have to add shipping, import taxes etc to them, but it's a lot of car, usually in very good condition, for not a lot of money.

I didn't see that. Go on, insult me for missing a word.

Exxxxactly. Pays to read things a bit more closely rather than offer sarcastic responses, dunnit?

Seeing cars like this makes me a little automobilly aroused.. :) Keep boost low on first gear until you really learn it, drive carefully and have fun.. Oh and more pics of the Ford.. :)

Look up "hyperbole."

And, my Impreza *would* hit 200, because it already has.

Anyways, can't I post about Legendary's nice car, without people bothering me?

Don't raise it at all. It is perfect as it is. Don't raise anything, if it's just scraping that's fine. It will just take some getting used to. If the wheels are rubbing, then just take out your fender liner.

I love it! I really want a Chaser but we can't get them in America :( Now you need to roll your fenders and get wheel spacers ASAP. Can't wait to see what you do to it!

Lol at all the 'Scraping is fine' comments. Some people actually like to drive their cars regularly, without annoyance, and not have to remove bits. Raise it up dude. It will still look rad, and it will be a lot less annoying it drive.

Pretty much this. Im saying it needs to be raised because it is THAT impractical. The front lip came off yesterday so now thats just a standard bar. It looks funny but it also looks normal and is much more driveable. If I can just get the exhaust a touch higher without raising the whole car i'll do that but at the moment the exhaust continues to be a small issue.

 Saw that photo, and wow, is that a beautiful car. Congratulations

Thanks mate!

Heres some more photos for you all!

Sorry for the slight de-rail, Legendary, but...

Just because you haven't been pulled over, doesn't mean it isn't illegal. But we've already covered how you're fine with putting others on the road in danger 👍

Now, back on topic: that is one clean, clean Chaser example, well done! I'd say a slight raise wouldn't hurt, but either way, I've always been a fan of that car. Congrats on her!

That's it, here it is literally the law and is enforced heavily to have your car at a legal height of 100mm at the lowest point (or thereabouts depending on state/ wording of law).

Thanks mate, it really is a steal for what I paid! :P

Looks-wise the height is pretty much perfect, but you could probably get away with winding it up a tad just to make driving it a little less destructive.

And I've discussed plans on getting the headlights changed out, for both safety and appeal. It's just... I'm too busy using the headlights to take them out, and then have them replaced with housings designed for HIDs. Now, get off of my back. I don't need to be reminded of the same thing. I drove through Toronto, and you didn't notice.

Legendary, what's it sound like? Judging by the muffler you've got, it's not very OEM, from the muffler, at least. ...Does it even have cat. converters?

Muffler... What muffler, what cats?
Nah I honestly have no idea, it's loud and sounds like a supra, aka, sex. I might record it sometime for you guys.

 I've heard quite a number of Supras, they're imported surprisingly often.

I do love the sound... Ah, if I could afford shipping, I'd send you my GoPro with the front-window mount...

This is one of two in my neighbourhood. I love the paint on the door. It wasn't in a crash. Nope.
