He's trying to prevent people from sandbagging. IT CANT BE DONE. Sorry, it's true. The only way to prevent sandbagging, is to remove the reason for it. A.k.a. The rewards system. All of the cars would have to never be upgraded, or only have a rewards system of about 5k.

Good to know.

Its all my fault. 👍 My dropping a race purposefully should come to on ones surprise unless this is their first season with us. And for bagging, well depending on how I'm doing up to my pit stop next week...

For the people new, I've updated the spreadsheet. The cars that were shared and I've been able to review are highlighted green. You can unshare them. I'll leave mine shared all week. I've got a second car to test with.

I'll share mine asap...sorry I haven't had a chance yet.

I'm bummed spooble got booted..was looking forward to the full 20K for being 10th+...

The first race was so close, I would've won had I started on POLE where I QUALIFIED!!! But anyone who can put cash in their car will dominate the next race. I just need to be the best of the rest. Aka beat dab, diabolic, and geezer

1:43 @ deep forest raceway - reverse

how's that?

You'll be lapped. Fast times will be 1:36-1:38 high placing cars from last night should be around 1:40. It's the bottom cars who will race tomorrow to victory. Gallakazoid and Canadian Bacon 1 shoud be out front with ease

I doubt that, no offense. Before lap 36, you passed me twice. Both times, my only goal was to stay in your draft. All I had to do was keep up. Both times, you overshot a corner and I was able to get by.

In fact, if your brother hadn't've been right behind you, if it had been Geezer with you still, I would've let you pass me a third time. It was one of the things I was debating around lap 36. My thought was, if you pass me with ten laps to go, then there is time for you to make a mistake for me to pass you back. If I waited and you were able to get by me with say two laps to go, then you wouldn't have time to let me pass you back.

I figured if I let you pass me, though, your brother would pass us both, and I'd be racing for third instead of second.

I don't know if Dabney could've won if he had more traffic at the beginning of the race, but I know he would've done well, he was the fastest Beetle. I think Diabolic could've won if he had less traffic.

The game did mess up and put me on pole, and my qualifying time was only middle. I do think where I started is one of the reasons I was able to get to second. If I had started in the back though, I still think I could've gotten a top five finish. Even after my crash, I passed Trackbound and was closing on Geezer and Leadbedr.

Seems some more of our cars are up again in the online dealership.

My thanks to the PD guys reading our thread. Now, go fix the starting grid bug! KThxBye!

Doesn't Morbo = Galikazoid?

I'm should have the next race (and prolly the one after that) to myself... Considering it will bring me up the standings but only high enough for mid-pack, I'll still get cash and add the rest of my perf parts, and hopefully some drivetrain stuff..

I started last, but since I knowingly left the track, I'm okay with it. About lap 12 I was so frustrated getting blocked by half the field that I stopped, counted to 10 and started racing again. Chasing down everyone that second time made my race a lot more exciting. Oh and 1'43 is not going to cut it. I dont think its going out on a limb when I say that could be the slowest time for this upcoming track..but with no pitting you may compete. Your car's had its wings clipped, but definately stick with it. The bluebird will fly once we hit sport medium+ tieres.

You all are counting the guy's that skipped out to early. We can still exceed expectations...

I'm not counting you out. You are shy points, but you now have 5,000 Cr. that you wouldn't've had normally.

There is time to gain at DFR with a proper line. Turn 1 can make or break your lap in these cars. I won't be able to keep up with anyone that drops a turbo on their car, but I should be able to draft most of the field.

What's the ruling going to be on concrete? 2 wheels on the tarmac at all times or what?

As for starting grid issues. Perhaps we should run a 1 lap race 5 minutes prior to the start of the race. That should reset the individual lap times. After the 1 lap race, no one should leave the track once they enter it. There will be enough time for everyone to enter the track and run 2-3 qualifying laps (excluding pit-exit lap). Do not stop driving during this time. If the grid doesn't line up right after that, then there is simply nothing we can do short of running a pace lap (which has its own issues).

I've got to go to Phoenix next week and, sadly, there's just no way to take my G27 with me. Are there any rules against driving with the DS3? I'll be on hotel internet, as well, so I'm not sure how good that will work. I'm flying out Monday, so I can test a little see how it looks.

Hotel internet may block the ports required for PSN gaming. I've had trouble connecting to my company VPN before.

No rules against driving with a DS3. In fact, I'd say over 1/3rd the field drives with one.

No DS3, you have to use a Sixaxis with no vibration!

I had run offs as the only way to make passes was to take risks. Had i been up front at the start it would not have been an issue

I should have started second, but I started in 4th. I don't think much else would have changed, other than I might have been racing Cujo instead of Trackbound.

I'm not aware of anyone pitting. I don't even think Trackbound did, and he did eat his tires a bit.

I took damage on lap 36, but it was so late in the race that I didn't both pitting. My tires were still over 90%, and I was able to make time on the people ahead of me.

Aside from anyone possibly fixing damage...I doubt anyone required a pit. If the Exa can make it, anyone can. The B Team van may win this week and podium the following, but I wonder if you'll peak to soon. I'm looking at 3-5 this week on car strength, but accident avoidance may take me higher and yet strategy might force me lower.

As one of the drivers who was unable to make it, I'd like to play devil's advocate regarding the credits awarded. If I'm not mistaken, the rules state that cash will be allocated based on season standings, not race finish. Technically, since the four of us are all tied for 11th place with 0 points, shouldn't we each receive 20,000 credits?

That would be nice, wouldn't it? No.
