I must say, this is going to one very interesting race. At Laguna I think cars will probably break away, but grand valley should have lots of action. After that, when cars start adding mods it will be more like last season...but I can't wait to get this underway!!!

We'll do 50 laps tonight at Laguna. That should be just shy of 1.5hrs

We'll do 60 laps at GVE-R next week. That'll also work out to about 1.5hrs.

I was definitely considering the piazza, then i accidently saved it with too much tune on it and I can't get it to show back up in the ucd :(

I was using the Piazza prize car with 370PP.

Twichie...check your messages if you see this. If you are not going to run the Nissan you were trying out last night...I AM INTERESTED. Mine both refreshed to 376PP and I've had to change things up for the time being. I sent PM this morning...I should have sent PSN message :banghead:

@Chuyler -- I've been excited since right after the last season ended. My car currently has potential early on, but will struggle with the weight issue later on. I'm going for a clean race tonight. Hopefully I'll have an off to get some practice with damage. If last season was any sign, with the cars all closer together, damage will be an issue early and often for half the racers.

I guess it wont matter making it public. I'm looking still for a 2000GT-R Skyline that refreshed to 375PP.

I'll have my choice in momentarily. No worries, I am not using any of those cars :) I wanted to use the MG, but I could never get one to come under 375 after engine rebuild :(
 
Neither could I...but WiiFreak managed to find one. All the ones I found were 376.
 
isuzu piazza, i think it's a 93. I'll let you know, but it is right at 373 pp

Chuyler...turns out the skyline was BTKs, so not really Twichie's to trade. I'll stick with the Altezza.
PS: I hate that car choices were made public before all cars were in. Grenade and slight knew we had a week. I thought Booch mentioned using the Piazza a couple days ago, but the other two? Work is no excuse and they're in the 450s nightly. Skip a night like most of us did, set up a lounge and get your car sorted. Holy cheatin procrastination!

Ditto , one with over 90000 km on odometer could be 375,4 PP and show up as 375 .

I'm still working on a way to count the mileage effect on HP and PP.
And trying to find a way to tell how mutch PP will go up with engine refresh.

I have my MGF shared if you guys want to look at it. It's fully refreshed and has +50,000 miles on it, and it's smack on 375pp. I imagine a fraction of one horsepower more and it would be 376pp, so I'm lucky it isn't over the limit. If you guys still have a problem with it, I can switch to a different car.
 
Is it an FF WiiFreak? If we are friends, I do want to have a look. If I do...will I be able to see if the chassis refreshment and engine have been done? Anyone know? Mileage doesnt matter. My two skyline GT-R had 41K miles and 36K miles. One refreshed to 376 and the other refreshed to 379. I doubt 5K miles made 3 PP difference.

One of my Celica's was a UCD glitch. Game said I could get all three weight redctions and be at 1310. Turns out it supposed to come with that much. So they I couldnt lightened it at all. I was going to use it, but I only have 1 and I could never lighten it past then. Subsequently I checked MGT and it is stock with 1310 confirmed. WTF Kaz.

Also, I cannot believe an FF car not named EAGLE TALON or Celica GT-R 4WS is being driven. The tires will even out the pit strategy after the first couple races to keep them more in line and by the time we are at Cote, they'll be about to roll around the corners and Sarthe...they would dominate. The Talon hits 177 before the chican w/o tuning 3 and w/ stock trans and stock suspension. No other car, I tested miata, levin, trueno, silvia, golf, celica, 280 and the piazza comes within 10 MPH with the same mods. Guess folks, just me, are concerned with having similar pit strategies as the folks they're competing against.

I'll show up, with my Talon (which I told Huyler about before we started the Tuesday series). If people show up and the room fills up, then I'll open a second room.

Spoke to soon...regarding what? The MGF or FF cars? If you show up with a Celica or Talon, it will only be because of what I just said. You replied far to quickly for me to not be skeptic. I mean, if you knew the car...why not tell us like Chuyler asked.

As far as your car choice is concerned, its a cheat as far as I'm concerned. If Shark shows up in a Talon or Celica...I may change because apparently having your car choice worked out before the list is posted doesnt matter. whats the point in asking for car info if someones going to wait for everyone else and then decide...you know what, those other cars sound pretty good.

(if you were talking about MGF...then perhaps I did)

I have been talking to chuyler in PMs for the entire day. I have always been going to show up in a FF.

I may not choose the talon, but it wasn't off the list. Chuyler and I talked about it a few days ago. I have been testing between that and the nissan privera or whatever its called. I accidnetly overtuned my old one and this one showed up about 1.5 hours ago in my UCD.

Again, i haven't chosen between the two cars yet. But, I emphasize I was always going FF.

If you dont take the Talon...Grab the Infinit G20 over the Nissan, the luxury badge adds 2PP :lol:
The Talon though is the fastest car available. I modded every car on the list except the MGF up to engine tuning 3(did not do the turbos/supercharger because nissans dont have them mostly..and the Talon max is nearly 20PP ahead of the next closest car. Trouble is...the car can easily win the first two races, but you'll have zero dollars to work with. Still, the talon was my second choice till I saw a skyline 2000GT-R could make it. Its still 3rd on my list.

Because I put 5 down and they all had different drivetrains. Btw, you are wrong about the talon. Fulled modded, the talon and the nissan I chose are the exact same PP. 501. Granted, mileage will have a little bit of an effect on this.

But the cars I was running were the same. The main benefits of the talon being its more of a sports car and its higher default transmission speed 179 vs 164 for the nissan.

I have been driving 4 different cars for the most part all day while cycling my UCD.

I was trying to get a 54 corvette to show up but it never did. I was playing around with the Honda odessy but decided it was too slow.

I wanted to run the Celica gtr but since it could only take a supercharger, I decided not to.

I didnt fully mod if you read. I did everything up to engine tuning 3 meaning I stopped at engine tuning 2 and I did not do the turbo/supercharger. The nissans get all their power at stage 3 and I didnt go that far because its a 30K option. If you go back and check what I said...you'll figure it out.

I apologize. You are correct. I am getting basically the same lap times out of both of them. The talon is better geared for the first track from my laps. I am going to figure it out soon enough :) I'll probably go with the nissan since garris is going with the talon. That pretty much ruins my uniqueness if someone else is using my car :(

No need for me, I know you are fair. I only wrote that my MGF went to 376PP because I was annoyed at GT5's engine refresh.
 
Random info: Real life- My last car before my Subie was a 2002 G20 which shares a platform with the newer Primera in the game.

I tested the old G20 for the race tonight for nostalgia and because it has a factory spoiler. I love spoilers. You can never shut me up though. During the race; yes, but thats my choosing.

I don't think releasing the cars has ruined anyone's strategy. One thing is certain, whatever you decide today, stays. If you don't like how your car runs tonight and want something different to run next Wednesday, tough guzungas.
