ok whatever. i'm picking either the 280z, the mr2, or the talon. You can send it whenever you want because if it isn't one of those, i won't be driving it and i will keep your secret.
yes, please PM your car selection with any mods you installed to get it to 375pp. Be sure to read through the first post thoroughly to understand the rules and points/credits system. There is quite a bit of strategy to vehicle selection and the parts you install before the season begins. Is this still open? I would love to do something more than just the open lobbies.
Send me a friend request and I will accept it the next time i'm on. If my list is full, send me a message via psn and i'll remove some stale friends.do i send you a friend request or will you send me one?
and to confirm, i will drive the Toyota Corolla GT-Apex (AE86) '83
do i have to submit car colour or that doesn't matter?
thanks!
diabolic, what year is the 280Z? I think I tried a 240Z from 70s and it was hard to drive. Can you send me the 280Z? I want to drive a Nissan, but have not found any suitable cars--all Silvias are either too high in PP or have no turbo/super charger.
You can't put turbos on the 280z. I have been checking for that. Given we may not max out the cars, I have no idea if it is going to be an issue. Might have to save credits between races for higher engine tuning.
Some lap times at GVE-R for reference (recorded in practice mode)
MR2 '86 - 1:21.656
Talon Esi '97 - 1:21.950
206 S16 '99 - 1:22.134
G20 '90 - 1:22.574
280z '78 - 1:22.891
So the 280 is a second slower on both tracks...but its the only FR car I have had success with.
No Mic's eh? No worries, I will always be mic'd .
I am a little worried about the track selection order. I don't like the idea of cote de azur being the last track. The ones before that encourage you to power up your car. Monza/trial/suzuka only to then need to change it to a very technical car.
This is just my opinion of course. But I would move cote higher up in the season.
Allowing premiums...I hope we dont have a room of Golfs, Miatas and Swifts!
The premium cars have better modeling...do that have better attention to weight distribution and stock set-ups I wonder?
Not to bust anyone's bubble, but there is no premium Golf or Swift that can be used. The rules state the car has to be 1999 or older.Allowing premiums...I hope we dont have a room of Golfs, Miatas and Swifts!

yeah, I knew i wasn't going to get a last straight pass for the win so I tried to nose inside you before the final hairpin. I had sufficient overlap but I was going to have to slow down a lot more to hold the turn from the inside. I backed off early and tried to get behind you...but you slowed a little too much and got loose when i tapped you. There were several more bumps after that because I wanted to push you through the turn and maybe get a draft pass. That's when i realized how loose your car was...and backed off. Don't worry, that won't happen during the race. If it comes down to the final laps, i'll have to find some other way around.chuyler, yeah we were nose to tail for a few laps there. If you were in front, I'm pretty sure I could not pass either w/o the draft. My car is pretty tail happy. I guess that is why the drifters like it.
GVE-R's straight is pretty short, so passing would probably come from a mistake. Hopefully folks will be patient--with heavy damage, we cannot treat each other like AI.
Cool, thanks No need to paint it pink though, save your chip for something else.chuyler, you need an extra 280Z? I can send it to you tonight after work. I think mine is completely stock. I will paint it pink. No need to thank me for that.
