Styler ftmfw. You can install and uninstall easy, with out the hassle of using a patch and going into a folder and putting themes in like that. You just open up Styler, drag in, and use! :D

It takes approximately 30-40 seconds to install a theme and activate it with the patch. Not to mention it uses exactly 0% more memory than before the patch, as any and all styling programs use at least some memory and system resources.

There is no hassle to the patch. Download the >1MB file, patch it, restart Windows, download themes, install, enjoy. It'll take an inexperienced user 10 minutes at most with decent instructions.

Well, when you do get hacked files, you do take the chance of crashing your computer. Ask Matt, he used to use the uxtheme patch and it crashed his machine. And like I said before in this topic, not everyone is as tech-savvy as the lord almighty MachỎne and can overhaul their computer by themselves. That's why programs like WindowBlinds, StyleXP and the Styler Toolbar are so popular because they're safe, easy, and quick to use.

And I lied about the lord almighty part about ya. :P

A good set of instructions can teach anyone to do it. My sister figured it out, and her extent of computer knowledge is knowing what a floppy drive is.

Did you even read my post?

Yes I did. I was replying to this part:

Yes, the occasional bad file will come along. That's why you scan it before opening. If you can't do that much, you don't deserve a computer.

There are somepeople out there that (dee-tee-dee) don't do that, but if they don't do that, then that must mean that they are: A) Not downloading hacked/cracked/illegal/warez/etc. files or B) Don't have anti-virus software that doesn't scan downloaded files automatically.

Almost every antivirus out there has a function where you can scan individual files by right-clicking on them.

Anyways, enough off-topic. PM me if you wish to continue.

Everyone, if people didn't want to scan every file, they'd buy a Mac! Sheesh.

Amazingly, I'm still on my current wallpaper. Nor do I really want to change it.

 And you don't need any hacked files to change themes either!

And if you do manage to screw up anything there is a 99% chance that you will require a total and complete system restore! What fun! Thanks but no thanks. I've screwed with uxtheme before, misread one of the instructions and it took me a full week of messing around to get my computer to even idle without using half of the RAM. Using a theme switching program is not the sin you make it out to be, and the newest version of Windowblinds doesn't use any memory or system resources at all and essentially shuts off when you aren't configuring it.

Speaking of Mac fan boys, I'm going to take some Multimedia classes next quarter. One of the classes was "computer basics" or something, which I thought was goofy until she said "learning how to use the Macs..." I was like "IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZERZ!!!!11!!1"

And since my trusty old Windows totally pooped out on me a week ago (it's fixed), we'll se if I like the whole modern Mac thing. Maybe I can turn into a virus-free fanboy like you, Duck!

Would you say that two, maybe three years from now?
I don't see why not. The graphics interface I can see being very flexible, being that everything is handled as a 3D object. If the security is decent, I imagine the OS will last a while.

I've been using different versions of it for several months now, and I like it.
