I really hope this thing is FGT based on W08, otherwise the livery editor can be restricted.

I doubt they'd restrict the livery editor even if it's the real car. The only limitation would probably be the topography of the body.

Or the 'real' decals you can use, like Ferrari have... I can't see them outright not allowing you to livery the car

In real life, it meant adjusting the balance of the car for each track, though this was largely due to trying to balance the tyre heat and performance (which wont be replicated in GTS because of it's very poor tyre modelling)... but I've no idea how that would manifest it's self into the game, I'm guessing it wont. Similarly to how we don't get high and low downforce LMP1 cars, we just get the one.

Awesome it would be a blast to drive im sure although im a little disapointed its (Most likely) the launch spec & i will say the F1 2017 exp will be "Superior" due to GTS lucking a proper hybrid mechanic (always auto) and ERS & DRS mechanics.

In Forza Motorsport games, the Lotus/Renault cars can be painted with no limitations on what decals you can use.

It may be a similar case here.

Yeah, I prefer the Ferrari SF70H over W08, but since Hamilton is the "maestro" in GT Sport, I'm okay with that. Unless, I can put Ferrari livery on it (if possible).

Nobody outside PD absolutely knows what the new Formula car will be. Back when the F1500T-A was teased, people were certain it was the Lotus 98T before.

Therefore it's reasonable to speculate that this latest F1 car could be an F1600T-H if Merc are playing hardball in licensing the W08.

Well I’m gonna throw my two cents into this one. If it were a new Formula Gran Turismo, wouldn’t there not be any of these close up teases of the car if it were really something special? The F1500T-A didn’t get this kind of treatment when it was released, and the comparisons between the renders and the real photos really show that this is the W08.

As for what spec it is, I would assume that it is one of the later specs, like post-Spain spec. Teams do change things on their cars in quick succession, so it would be logical that not every picture will match up with what’s on this W08. Yes I know I can’t see a shark fin or a T-wing in the silhouette teaser, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. I think we’ve had certain features on certain cars not able to be seen in teaser silhouettes until they were released.

Then the title of this article is very misleading. The title of the specifically states LH's car is coming, (not a car that is based off of it).
