The Minolta is the best car to use because it is free :) there are lots of cars that can win this race with ease though. The FGT will lap the field.

I used a Peugot 908 Total that I traded for early on to win got it done easy. Than I moved up to the Minolta and it does it even easier like 39 second laps.

908 is 4 mil.....McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 is 3.5 mils :)

if i tune a mclaren f1 it will be able to compete in Like the Wind ?

I`m interested more how can you win that race if you dont have Minolta and other race cars, hehehehe. I`ll McLaren F1 a go and post here the result. Lets hope that car can win the race in B spec.

the mclaren isnt even in the same class as the lead cars, you would have a easier time using the furai.
if your going to spend 3.5 mil, save an extra 1.7 million and get just get the 787b.

Just leave the race alone until you get a fast car with over 1400hp, lol. I left it alone until level 35, came back to it and blew the other cars away, lol

So far it seems ive wasted 1,6 mil trying to boost McLaren F1. It seems you cant win this race without a real race car. The minolta in game in straight line has like 360km/h and in corners around 260-300km/h while the McLaren lacks at least -50km/h in straight and corners.

Bleahhh

Both Minolta and Sauber Mercedes C9 race cars passed me again on the 14th lap, hahaha...

Ouch thats a financial hit

I used The Minolta. You can't just pass and forget this one, though. It takes a bit of attention, but not much...

BTW, I won this in A-spec with a modded Zonda, too...

I'm glad I have a Formula GT to take care of B-Spec races. It doesn't need any directions, just come back 14 min later to collect money and XP.

It's a bit of a pain getting a Formula GT, but it's worth every penny.

Like the Wind are actually very cost effective races for B-Spec grinding.

My B-Spec Bob just passed Like the Wind with a modded Minolta, did so easily even though he ran out of physical and mental strength with two laps to go :D

Nissan R92CP. With the right setup Bob doesn't need any direction, although he'll always finish with like 0.050ish secs ahead of the others xD

My bob is level 17 with upwards arrow.

My bhp is at 1029.

Down force is 40 - 60

My ride height is minus 25 both ends.

My max speed is at 273mph.

Oval course.

Max the downforce.
Use the best tires possible.
Lower gear ratio slightly, should top out at just over 240 mph.
Minolta's max BHP is 1040. Oil change?

I just got done winning both events with all settings stock (stage 3 turbo and fresh oil of course). My bob is level 17.

I just kept coaching him to keep him in the gray/light red area. He won the Daytona race by several seconds, but less than half a second at Indy. He even got spun at Indy when he lifted because of a lap car and the minolta behind him knocked him into next week. He dropped to 3rd but was able to catch back up and retake the lead.

Now I'm goin back to gold the historic race with that Toyota 7 that bob won me. :D

That is the key. get him in front and do not let his pace drop below center and he will win with ease even if it is a low level Bob.

Totally agreed.

Just won that race with a lv 17 driver, it was easy to keep the lead. Just make sure the coolmeter is somewhere between mild and hot, proceed to oil change if needed (<1040 HP), all default settings except tranny that should be set around 400-420 kph.
