I'm using my tried and true ZR1 RM, but I'm not sure she'd win Like the Wind

It should be capable of winning, I used one myself for that event, it took me a lot of goes and some fine tuning but it eventually won the races.

i have the Minolta 88C-V + full upgrades plus tuned and i cant get passed 11th place my driver is level 22. it is not as easy as you say it is

Chang oil, check your tires, make sure transmission is set to 250 or there abouts. mine is set to 242? racing it right now 5 laps to go, in 1st since lap 3.

If anyone has a setup for the minolta so i can hit go and leave bob alone that would be great. he cools down too fast and starts breaking everywhere, in turns 1 and 3, down the back straight, behind that poopy lister.

After a thousand attempts, I've finnaly have beaten Daytona Like the Wind!

Used the Mazda Furai Concept with engine and chassis worn.
I spent many times $500 buck on each, so the car could gat some advantage, but it wasent enough to win the competition.

Even with overrall ans ridigity to do I could won this time.

All you have to do is a tricky setup on the transmision.

First reset Trans to default settings;
Then slide the top speed to its lowest setting. 200km/h
Nows the trick, move the Final Gear slider to its lowest ratio 2000. Moving all to the left. It will bring the Top Speed shown above to 357km/h.
That worked for me in other cars and races too.

It brings the top speed higher for every gear but with very close ratios so it increases acceleration withou compromising speed.

2nd Move the Final Gear Slider to the left until it reaches the limit, 2000
You will notice the Top Speed Indicator shown on the right, above the graphics displaying 357km/h.

Downforce
35/60

I've changed the oil but the car was needing Engine and Chassis Repair costing $500 thousand each. It's up to you to do it or not but I've won without making it. I never did it again cause

I´ve pushed up the driver on the begining of the race ultil full red and started overtaking without letting the pace fall down. At the last 3 laps where hard to cooll him down and it was making a lot of mistakes. The 2nd place reacher and overteaked my car but i could heat a little more the bob and set him to overtake and he did the job, even under pressure.

I learned that more tha setting up the pace you have to tell it to overtake on the right time.

the problem im having is that the tuning thing wont let me tune anything other than 'top speed' how do i get it to 'fine tune'

There's a minimun XP level so you can fine tune... I remember not being able to do so some time ago. I just don't remember when, maybe its close to level 15.

What's your B and A Spec level?

i used the mazda furai in a spec to win the minolta and then did b spec with it.
wasnt hard at all as you can cut corners all over the place

I used a FGT. Bob took 1st place easily, but some minutes later, the other cars caught up to him. So I paced him up. (He was usually going round corners at 300 km/h) When I paced him up he went round a corner at 340 km/h:sly:

You can use the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 RM, you just have to tune it properly. Just go to the replay on YouTube and at least one person will have a good tune that will definitely work out good on the comments.

If you have problems or want it easy, get a X2010 - S. Vettel Challenge (unlocked at lvl 30 a-/b-Spec) or for reaching b-Spec lvl 35, or borrow one.

It's so easy, even a b-Spec bob lvl 0 or a absolute a-Spec beginner can win the race with it. :D:tup:

HDi FAP, Is a really efficient car,Diesel powered, and fast. The 787B is also a good option, I personally bought the 787B because I was too wimpy to try to beat Gran Turismo 3. BOth of them are actually really close on power, both get close to 905 HP, But the mazda is a tad better because it has an amazing acceleration and speed. topped up to 9700 rpm, so it's a bit better than the HDi FAP. I still haven't bought a HDi FAP yet, so my predictions may not be entirely certain. BTW, hi, I'm new here :3

Save up a bit more and get the FGT ($4.8M). It destroys the competition, and you'll need it to compete in the FGT championships later.
The FGT now costs 2,5 million cr. in the OUCD. But I went to the UCD and guess:a FGT for 4,9 million.-_- Don't buy a FGT unless you have a PSN account.

A-Spec: Ford GT LM did it for me, you win it earlier on IIRC. Setup so I didn't need to brake for corners.

B-Spec: well, I had an X1 by then...
