i charge my i-phone via port 1 and have the other pad charging inport 2 and playing with the other pad without any problems at all. so port 1 has the i-phone charging and have a pad playing from the same port.

That's different than what Sprite is talking about. Controller ports and USB slots are two entirely different things.

Sprite is absolutely correct, and may have solved Pako's issue. 👍

No matter what USB slot you put the Buzz receiver in or that of a wheel, the PS3 automatically assigns it the #1 controller port.

This has happened to us when we forget to remove the USB receiver when we finish playing Buzz. Some games it doesn't matter, but other require a controller be assigned to port #1 (not USB slot).

BTW: Simply removing the USB receiver from the PS3 isn't enough - assuming the PS3 was never turned off in between games. You also have to reassign your controller to port #1. You can do that in the XMB or by holding down the PS button until the controller info and options appear.

Good ideas, but the only other devices I had hooked up was the Eye Toy and a bluetooth Mic. After removing both devices and rebooting the system, the profile was still corrupt.

I know you have probably checked this, but have you got a BD remote? if yes have you got it assigned to Control Profile 1?

other than that I have no real idea what it could be.

good luck.

No remote. I ended up deleted the game save (profile) and starting over. Haven't had a problem since. I'm wondering if the power saver mode shutting off the remotes has something to do with it. I had paused the game a few times only to come back with the controllers turned off. I really have no idea. Does anyone know if the profile ID's are specific to each controller? Seems like player one isn't always player one. I save a character and the next time I play it isn't available. It's like the game knows I'm using a different controller or something. I don't know, it's really strange.

I noticed that when we play multi-player LBP on the same system, which as a family we do quite a bit, remote port 1 is always assigned to the profile (PS3 User ID) that we started the game under. After that, we press the PS button on each controller, and the game remembers which profile you selected last time for that specific controller port ( a feature I like) 👍

However, it doesn't select that profile automatically. You still have to press X to select the highlighted profile.

Your issue sounds very odd. Maybe somehow your game quit while it was saving data to your game save, as that can corrupt game saves. The fact that you were able to fix the problem by deleting your game save suggests that might be the case. Keep in mind, having the controller turn off should have no impact on game saves... I beleieve only having the PS3 turned off in the middle of saving data can do that.

I love driving games full stop any console any style, but for the last couple of days LBP has taken over my life, what a breath of fresh air.

10/10 👍

The same here. What a game.
Reminds me of Super Mario World on the Snes ( those were the days )
Just a brilliantly original game that I know is going to take over my life for a while.

I haven't even looked at the creation side of things yet. Just having so much fun online with it. :D

Im glad its sorted 👍

Your right the controller shouldn't have anything to do with a save game on a particular profile only the power cutting out can corrupt a save as far as I'm aware. Although last night we decided to play some four player games and the player 4 pad kept turning off, so maybe its a glitch inside the new update I have no idea, but this wasn't specific to LBP.

Well I've been playing a bit of LBP today and its awesome it reminds me so much of Loco Roco on the PSP. Great sense of humor and lots of fun, and at times can get frustrating trying to find a way to those elusive stickers. All in all a top notch title. PS3 may get allot of the 360's ports but those exclusives are really something and make up for it. Im sure if sales are strong enough LBP 2 will be in the works, to be honest tho I really hope they give LBP enough breathing room so the online community flourishes. I see some levels are really taking off.

@ Foolkiller your Pitfall level had me cursing the game :D  very nice though.

An LBP2 release will just be a cash in, all that's needed are new backgrounds and tools, the on-line community will do the rest. 👍

where can I find the pitfall level of which you speak:)

If you have Foolkiller as a friend then its under his online LBP profile otherwise I think you can search for it.

I will add you on PSN tonight and you can find it through my profile I've given it a heart. :)

I was just paying online the *Little Big Ninja Warrior level with uk86ze, and despite using my BT headset several times already while playing LBP, this was the first time I realized that when you talk, your sack person lip synchs what you are saying.... very very nice touch MM! 👍

You can really notice it when you zoom in on your sack person in the game, or when you are in a pod. If you have a mic (and you really should get one for this game!), turn it on, go to your pod and start chatting away... it's hilarious. :)

*a fun primer getting ready for the new Ninja Warrior challenge being broadcast on G4 next week! 👍

Old School Arcade rules:
1) Repetitive patterns
2) Annoyingly difficult

Search for LittleBigPitfall. That was the name I gave it.

Or add me as a friend: FoolKiller79

I want to say that I am averaging a 10% hearted to played rating, which is much better than I expected. Thank you, guys.

Also, after tonight everyone should check it out again, because now that I have my PS3 Eye connected I am going to start adding a personalized easter egg to all my levels. Hopefully tonight I will also have time to add in some original game graphics with the help of the Eye. Namely the ladders and the scorpions.

I must have been the only person who noticed they showed this the first time they showed off the online co-op stuff.

Also, you were asking if the game guide showed all the prizes for the levels. Yes, and it even has them in categorical lists at the beginning of each level's section.

Unless you intend to pick it up, and it may be worth it for the 80 pages of create guide that it includes, I will work on posting them in your thread when I have time. I probably won't do it all at once, just one level at a time.

Got the game on Friday and had a quick play on it... liking it very much so far, although it did crash my PS3 once already, which was a bit of a worry. I had a quick look at your level, FoolKiller...! I am keen to make my own but I might need to give it a bit of thought, and try to muster the energy to do it.. I should really be working this week but hopefully I can squeeze in some LBP too. Biggest disappointment is that the game is not 1080p, but otherwise it looks pretty great.

I wish you could change the gravity in your levels.

BTW is there a Fedora in the game? I need to make Rorsackh and Carmen Sackdiego.

Agreed, although I think part of the point was to always maintain realistic physics.

What I really want is a way to change light levels within a certain area, not the whole level. If I go in I want it dark. I know you can black sticker the back, but that doesn't really change light levels.

BTW is there a Fedora in the game? I need to make Rorsackh and Carmen Sackdiego.
Let me check through the game guide tonight. I was trying to make a Rorschach as well, and while I have the body and face I am missing the hat.

And I republished last night with a scorpion using the original graphics and a background ladder image. I also got my easter egg working. You'll know it when you see it. 👍

so far am enjoying this game but feel as if it doesn't have the long life appeal I was hoping. I am about 3/4 of the way through acing and collecting all items on all the levels. Then all that remains is the trophies involving online play which most are pretty easy to get. May finish the game within a week (except for maybe 2-3 of the online trophies). Main issue i guess is the quality of online levels. Some are great and amazingly well done. But you get a fair few that simply are flawed.

Don't get me wrong I can see its a great game. Just doesn't seem to be for me.

I suggest searching for levels tagged fantastic or brilliant. If you only concerned with high quality avoid just browsing through the planet.

Everyone's entitled to have a personal opinion, and determining whether or not a game is worth while or not is a personal choice.

However, in terms of options and gameplay, the only thing that limits you is either your own creativity (either in making your own levels, or coming up with new ways/rules of playing through levels - especially in co-op and competitive multiplayer games) or your willingness to find and play the countless amazing levels among the community levels... some that one could argue are even more impressive than the 25 main story levels.

BTW: Something many don't realize is that you are not limited to the stickers and objects found in the main levels. Some of the coolest "gifts" can be found in the community levels, where the creators can make and share stickers, photos, objects, even complex vehicles and mechanical objects placed in the levels they create. 👍

Basically, unlike pretty much every other game out there, there really isn't any end to the game, or maximum number of objectives, accomplishments, and collectible objects... with the exception of course with those that have no internet access.

Great suggestion. You can also find a lot of great community levels by looking at your PSN friends LBP profiles. The second page in their profiles lists all the community levels they have hearted with direct links that take you to those levels. The third page lists all the creators they have hearted, with direct links to the profiles of those creators, and thus access to all of the levels they have created.

This recent topic reminds me that I've been thinking that despite the relatively easy way of finding some great community levels, that maybe it would be a good idea to start a dedicated thread where everyone can list the community levels, who created them, and a personal description about the level that they have enjoyed and think others may as well.

The first post in that thread can be used to make a master list - thus giving us all yet another resource for finding many of the great community levels in LBP.

This sounds like a great idea, however if rumors appear to be true then one of my favorites may no longer exist.

I am investigating now, but I have just started reading through the forum on LBP's site.

I will report back when I find out more.

However, I may rename my level as it contains minimal similarities to the actual Pitfall. (with the exception of that awesome scorpion I just added).

On another note, I struggled with getting my camera lined up properly to my image and having proper lighting. I finally got it, but it took some effort to get the best possible shot. Today, I remembered I got the Eye of Judgment pack, and thus have a camera stand... :ouch:

Well, if what you hear is true FoolKiller, LBP is gonna have some issues. I understand protecting copyright because Sony is probably paranoid about getting a lawsuit, but no warning at all is pretty bad...

Well, I am on page 19 of 20 in the thread. At this point there is talk of creating protest levels and it has been picked up by the majority of the gaming press.

I understand why they do it when IPs are involved, and I admit I am guilty of it myself. But apparently people are playing and suddenly get a message saying that their level is moderated and then it is unusable, even loaded off their hard drive, as long as they are logged in to the PSN. No one has gotten any response about what the specific problem was and they have no way of trying to correct it in order to get it out there.

The biggest issue I see is the God of War level. They gave out God of War themed materials, including level creation items, and now they are taking what I think is the best user-created level for violating the God of War IP?

EDIT: I found their official statement.
http://forums.littlebigworkshop.com/lbp/board/message?board.id=pod&thread.id=1719

Funny, the first response is a guy linking their own site that shows how to make SPiderman, Captain Americ, and Spawn Sackboys, asking if they will moderate that since it has all kinds of copyrighted IPs that don't belong to Sony and MM.

And then people mentioning the God of War DLC and Media Molecule showing off the Shadow of teh Colossus level. I am thiking that they fell into a PR blunder and when they fix their moderating system to actually explain what is wrong that it will not get much better.

This is important info, so thanks for keeping us informed.

I have to say though, the only issue I see where MM are at fault is not properly warning a creator that a level infringes on a copyright, and instead of deleting the level, they should instead unpublish the level, thus allowing the creator to remove the items and or names that infringe upon any copyrights or LBP's EULA.

However, reading through many of those posts, clearly a lot of people don't understand the importance of copyrights, and need to educate themselves before screaming bloody murder... not to mention they should probably take the time to read LBP's EULA, and make sure their level is not violating it.

Besides, if what MM has said is true, and judging by the fact that there are still many levels who clearly have copyright material in them and even in their name, they are only removing levels that have been reported by fellow users using the grief tool and where a moderator finds that the level is in violation of the EULA... something we all are required to agree to before playing LBP.

Based on that, and the fact that there are still plenty of community levels that have copyright material and names in them, it appears that actual copyright holders are reporting these violations, as is their right, whether we like it or not.

However, I may rename my level as it contains minimal similarities to the actual Pitfall. (with the exception of that awesome scorpion I just added).

I'd also recommend that you make a copy of your level (unpublished), just in case Activision (or who ever may own the copyright to any names or materials used in your game) asks to have your level removed. This way you'll have the option of still having the level to play for yourself, and or the option of making any necessary changes that will keep it from violating the EULA.

I have to say I can to a large degree understand the issues with copyright material and its inclusion in created levels, as its fair to say that some companies are not known to have a sense of humour over things like this.

I've finally had a change to play around with the create stuff myself (still working through the story mode) and have put together a small test level, please feel free to have a play everyone.

I downloaded those free limited time outfits from the PS store, I dont have the game yet and was wondering... WHERE ON EARTH DID THOSE OUTFITS SAVE TO? I cant find them anywhere!

Robin.

Well If you didn't install them they should be under the "Game" section in the XMB and appear like little bubbles just like every add-on demo or game you download from the PSN, in case you did install them they should've created a save file for LBP or at least that's what I think should've happened.

I swear I read something somewhere stating that user generated content is not applicable to copywrite laws. Something to the effect of if a user creates their own content that includes copywrited material, the copywrite hold would have to try and sue the user, but since that is insanely cost prohibitive it essentially protects the user crated content.
Unless they are claiming the 'moderations' are due to EULA infractions and I am way off base.
Also, what does this mean for Guitar Hero World Tour's music creator?
