Hey thorin

Not had a chance to try the updated NSX tune yet due to work and family taking up my time etc etc but I somehow won the tickets to goodwood festival of speed competion that was running on here, even though the track is a hour from me I've never been haha.

There is a lot of GT content there including the GT academy wildcard and all the real life versions of the vision gt cars!!.

I'm going to be taking pictures and was wandering if there was a particular car or bike (big motogp precence) you would want me to take for you?

I would offer you the spare ticket if you were in the uk :)
NO WAY!

Congratulations Damo!👍

That's fantastic. I hope you enjoy your day out my friend, that should be a great day indeed. Those vision GT cars should be awesome to see in the flesh. Loads of pics of them me thinks, try and get some of the interiors so we can see how they're supposed to look. I'll bet they're not all black and shaded as we've seen them so far.

I've always been a bit of a Kawasaki man myself, just love that Green on Black livery, so any good pics of them are all good. Not to mention a certain M1 if you see one with a big yellow 46 up front:D

I'm soooo happy for you man enjoy the V12!

of course you can use the track you want to test, that was just my personal opinion, the tuner is you, not me
As always, your opinion is appreciated and you are right of course. Those are big problems when tuning for specific track types, that's why I like to use as many test tracks as possible for most tunes. I would rather achieve a good solid balance for a lot of tracks than have them optimized for any one track. With the obvious exceptions for seasonal events of course.

Thankyou I can't believe it, going to be a brilliant day out.

I'm a big Rossi fan so I will be taking as many pictures as possible of his bikes,

Brilliant idea about the interiors on the vision gt'a I'm thinking there might be a few surprises there too! :D

Ok, I know, It's about time!

Sorry for the delay ladies and gentlemen but as you can imagine I have had a little setback of sorts. Update 1.09 has landed and it has brought with it some nice new physics changes for us to deal with.

So may I introduce, the first car to make an appearance from Under the Mountain since the new age begun. With fully working camber and a bunch of victories under it's belt already....
The Spyker C8 Laviolette V.1

There will be another one coming for 574pp with the proper weight distribution. That WILL be a completely different animal!

I had a fantastic day at goodwood today, I saw some classic cars that I have driven in this series for so many years and some new ones :). I not only saw most of the gt vision cars in the flesh but also I was at the reveal of the new Nissan and also got to drive it in gt6 at the stand, nothing more to say than it is quick!. I also met @Famine at the Alfa Romeo stand so a massive thankyou for giving me this wonderful day out.

I have so many pictures and I don't want to spam your garage so is anything in particular you would like to see? :D

Glad you had a great day out and I hope you enjoyed every minute of it. Did you manage to get any shots of the interiors? Them, I would dearly love to see. Hmmm what else...anything Italian and red, anything British and green and anything on two wheels that's fast as H:censored:

Haha the only one I could get was of the gti, the others had blacked out windows.

Unfortunately I didn't see any astons but I did get a picture of the new 458 special edition and a certain doctors bike, unfortunately it is a Ducati haha but I did also get his m1 from a few years back. I will post them below.

Many thanks my friend. Some cracking wallpapers for my phone right there:D

That 458 looks awesome....I want one on here! And the good old Toyotas, what a sight! I'll bet that was something, standing in front of those two Icons.

Can't believe the Vision GT cars had the windows blacked out, well I can really. Just hoped that's all.

As for the Ducati:drool: and Yamaha  That M1 is my favourite GP bike of all time.

Thanks again Damo, what a legend!

Haha no problem my friend, these cars were made for people enjoy :D. The gti looked like a golf that had its roof cut off and a Body kit stuck to it haha but the Nissan and mercedes looked amazing. It really was something they had the TS030 with them aswell and around the corner the Mazda 787B.

And yes I remember the days of that m1, explains why it was on a stand and the Ducati wasn't haha

Yeah, I can't wait to get a shot of that Nissan. I don't think the pictures I've seen of it so far do it justice. It looks to have some really nice design features that look cool and functional but that will remain to be seen.

That M1 is legendary. I'll bet we have fonder memories of it than a certain Spaniard haha.

Haha oh yes I actually have that 1st season on m1 on DVD haha. Him vs gibenau at donnington was amazing!. I will put the pictures of the Nissan up :D

They had a few good races that year. "We'll see how happy he is when he's falling all over the road on that Yamaha!"- Sete Gibernau. Bet he regretted those words pretty quickly:lol:

That Nissan looks SWEET! Way better in your pics than the publicity shots I've seen. I quite like the colour, it's a really nice looking finish, looks almost like brushed steel. Would look way better in red though:D

Exactly what I was thinking haha. The windows on it were black plastic though which is annoying.

Haha I remember that quote, it was a great year, corner master vs higher torque and top speed. I don't think we ever see anything like that season ever again unless Marquez jumps on a Suzuki when they come back next year haha

One of the best I've seen by far it was just so unexpected. Even Vale couldn't believe it.

I don't know man, Marquez is the real deal. He could probably do ok on a Suzi, it'd give everyone else a to get close though:lol:

Oh yes I love him being beaten but it was the same when the doctor came along :)

Marquez has got right from start his attitude towards vale is amazing, I love that vale is his idle and said that publicly and seems he doesn't have a bad bone in his body like vale.

A certain mr stoner could learn a lot a lot from Marquez but I do believe things would of been very different with sic was still with us. He reminded me so much of Rossi

Hi thorin I've been racing online this evening for the first time properly since 1.09 (bloody work) and I've been racing in a 600pp room so obviously I've been using the scuderia :D and I've noticed some strange behaviour should I say in the mid-high speed corners only.

The entrance and mid corner are hugely faster than it was before to a point where it actually shocks you how fast it goes round those corners and obviously I've raced this car alot it the past :D, but with a upside there has to be a down side and that is the corner exit, as soon as I put the power on it straightens the car quite violently and can even through you off track if your not expecting it, I am assuming this the result if the camber being 0-0?.

Have you noticed any behaviour like this in this car or any other of your tunes?

Hi Damo. Yeah I've noticed it on this and a whole load of other tunes, mostly the MR cars and to a lesser extent some of the FR cars too. I've been a bit too busy to get stuck in to this recently as well so I've not really had the chance to go through too many. As far as the reason being camber at 0/0, I'm not too sure that it is...exactly. I've been trying to get my head round it but it's not all there yet.

Some of the changes I have had to make on a few of them so far is to reduce the ARBs and to increase the LSD Accel setting a little. There is a lot more stability in the rear heavy cars now, even before we introduce camber so a few steps can be taken to try and remedy this. If you are happy with the turn in and mid corner and it is only the exit that is causing the issue I would start by increasing the LSD Accel by a couple of points and give it a try out, you might need a few runs to find the setting that works. You might find that this is enough but beware, you will be more likely to lose the rear in the slow corners. The other quick thing to try is to reduce the rear toe angle or increase the rear Compression damper. But these options may have greater consequences.

I'm off tomorrow and plan on getting some good game time. I'll try and get some more updates done, this'll be top of the pile, right ahead of my Spirra.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, It's good to hear what other people are finding with the tunes. The more feedback I can get the better right now.

Hey @GTPDAMO, I had a little run about in the Scud this morning and yup I see what you mean. I went back to Suzuka with it as It was the only place I've got a ghost for it and couldn't get close. Through the first section alone I lost over a second and a half, First change made: Rear ARB to 5. Had an instant effect, rear is a bit looser and is almost right on top of the ghost for the full lap. Running 1.51.4s. Still a little understeer on exit to mid-high speed corners.

I need to pop out now for an hour or so but I'm coming back to this later. There are some gains to be made here I think, just hope I can find them without spoiling the fun too much. Expect an updated tune later.
