Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

So have you tried it?

I have. There is definitely a boost in torque, and it's fun. I know that there will be some that want to understandably use every NM they paid for, but I'm really dialing in on torque 7 in game as it is with the cap. Torque 10 even with the cap feels like too much. Don't make me post a pic of my forearms again.

Edit. After some more testing, there is a case to be made for using more torque with low PP cars such as a civic on comfort tires. It will make it feel more like a race car on race tires. Personally, I like to feel the difference between different cars and tires.
It's really good to have that available through the Drivehub...using every NM we paid for.

So in order to workni would first need to buy drivehub hardware unit? And then connect it to pc or only PS5?
Yes, need to buy a Drivehub.

G-Pro wheel plugs into Drivehub. Drivehub then plugs into PS5. It's that easy.

That's assuming you have the PS5 version of the G-Pro wheel.

Remember though, they could, and in all honesty should, remove the FFB cap in a future update. They also might not ever remove it, who knows 🤷‍♂️

Yes you would need the hardware. Drivehub will let you play any version of the wheel on PS5, Xbox and PC (no need for drivehub for PC though.).

I meant the new Drivehub G Pro @Podger wrote about giving for access to 11Nm.
Have you been using it for over a week now?
You’re getting all the 11Nm?
Yes I have been using the special setup of the drivehub for the last week. I was able to do early testing on it before public release. You will get the full 11nm torque... Some cars do better with it vs others, it really just depends on the car and car setup.

Thank you for your answer.
Well, i would need to risk 120€ ( the cost of the unit in EU + shipping ) to only get 11nm out of the wheel, which should already have full force enabled in GT7.
Hard decision but maan i would really love to have ability to maximize the wheel for GT7.

I believe I saw @Podger say that you get 10% off with a code gtplanet10. Every bit helps!

Unfortunately the official store is located in UK, which for me means that i would need to pay additional cost fot the VAT and customs.
I just need to find the cheapest store which has a drivehub located in EU.

That's a tough choice to make. It's a great price if you want to use the wheel on both consoles (PS5 and Xbox) and the special mode for full torque makes it an even better price. If you haven't already, I would recommend playing ACC for a bit to get a basic idea of how it would feel in GT7... That way you can decide if it's worth buying or not.

I would like to have the exact same feeling/feedback in GT7 as in ACC.
I've played it quite a bit but I always end up going back to gt7.

I just love PSVR2 in GT7 too much. Its hard to go back to flat screen😬.

I can't say it's 100% the same since I really haven't played ACC much but it definitely feels similar with the boost enabled for GT7.

Lol VR2 is exactly why I haven't played ACC much. I just love using this setup to play in VR. I might start playing AMS2 if the PSVR2 does get full pc support, but that's a different subject that doesn't belong in this thread.

So you already prefer GT7? What is the issue.

Also, A Drivehub will allow you to add a shifter and handbrake. The drivehub website shows which ones are compatible.

@Oshawa-Joe Yes i do prefer gt7 because its more fun, better and bigger game but mostly because i can play VR which is just awesome.
But i would love to have a few more Nm od torque on Gpro, like it is in other games. I love
the feedback of the wheel in ACC.

Just got a Logitech Pro wheel and this is the first I'm hearing about the torque being limited on GT7. I have my settings all the way up on the wheel and the game. The feedback feels really strong and I am still getting oscillations with a lot of cars.

I know the limit is set by the game, but is there a chance it only effects newer firmware? And if so, maybe I should hold off updating?

I find a huge difference in force depending on car/tire. Mid corner with CM tires I'm getting 3nm., about 4 with SM, and over 5 with RM. That's with game torque at 6 and wheel at 11 driving the Superbird at HSR.

What are you driving and what level NM are you seeing?
Edit: just tried torque set to 10 in game and observed close to 7NM on RM. The math works as that is about 40% increase.

I'm pretty new at this. How do I monitor the torque while playing?

On your wheel base, press the settings button, scroll to Home Screen and change it to torque.

If you can hit 7nm on RM or RS tires on heavy load corners with the settings maxed, then I'd say you are already capped. Regardless, I'm very satisfied with the level of torque on all grades of tires in GT7. I'm playing around with 5/6 Torque in the game.

It does feel a little bit too light on CH tires after spending time on race tires but I adjust to it within a few laps. Sometimes I'll turn torque up to 8 in the game if it still feels a little light, but only on comfort tires. I thinking about maxing torque in game and adjusting down on the wheel to match tires. Hopefully set up 3 different profiles to taste, but not sure yet if simply changing profiles overrides the game settings.

Ok nevermind. Getting like 7 max with racing softs. I'm still getting a lot of oscillation though. I just don't let go of the wheel haha. If I turn the dampers or filters up it goes away. I guess I'll check if the firmware can be updated now.

Has anyone ever had the wheelbase throw an ATTACH WHEEL message that won’t ever go away thereby bricking the whole thing?

Mine is new out of the box and keep saying attach wheel, will not initialize. Pc doesn’t detect it in ghub and ps5 is the same way. Seems to be DOA

Ordered now the drivehub from uk store using the gtplanet10 code. With shipping 106€ just to get full Nm in GT7. And I hope it wasn´t a joke about getting it…
Enjoy! I have been using the drivehub for maybe 2 months and has worked great for me. I've been testing the special app for GT7 for over a week and love being able to get the full 11nm, it is not a joke.

Is it just plug and play, or does it need anything else? What is the special app?

It's plug and play but you will need a computer to update the firmware to the latest beta.

If you go look at the drivehub thread, you will see a post on the last page from Podger that explains how to activate the app (it's internal to the drivehub).

I have the old Logi-shifter, and thinking of buying either Fanatecs or Thrustmasters when I get the drivehub. Which is better in Your opinion?

If you want to use the Logitech shifter, you will need to buy the Logitech racing adapter, think it's about $40 in the states.

I almost bought the Thrustmaster TH8A but I don't use the shifter enough to justify it. I have the TH8S and think it's pretty good. If I was to do it over, I would have gotten the TH8A since it looks much nicer and can be used as a H pattern or as a sequential shifter. I don't know anything about the Fanatec shifter, so I can't give an opinion on it.

Ah, this is what happens when you post the same question in multiple threads! 🙄
