Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

I've been wondering if it was just my perception!

Would agree on PS5 (haven't used with the PC) mine seems to be maybe 1* to the left. It doesn't actually really make any noticeable difference, but agree that when it starts up, it seems to settle a tiny bit left.
With GT7 it’s easy to see the difference thanks to the red dot on the HUD.

But it’s the same for me in ACC and F1.

The settling of the wheel doesn’t always end up in the exact same spot for me.

NLR 2.0 wheel stand arrived. Pedals still not shipped. I’m now more than a bit annoyed. Logitech really dropping the ball in Europe. I would say not to spend the extra on expedited shipping.

@VRoomGT7 keep an eye on it. If it happens again then restart the PS5 and see if it’s still happening.

@hawkeyez anyone with no steering input at all is most likely running the PS4 version of GT7 on the PS5. In fact the PS4 version generally seems to be having issues for some people - it’s all being fed back to Polyphony.

Centring being 1 degree out definitely won’t affect you. It does seem to be game-dependent because if you look in something like DR2.0 then it’s fine. The fact that the wheel doesn’t physically return to the same position when you let go of it is normal too - we deliberately don’t enforce a strong steering centre spring around the centre in order to prevent unwanted oscillations.

@InThaHouse leaving it hanging won’t cause any issues but if you want to secure it to the wheel stand then either cable ties or adhesive Velcro tape are good options.

Thanks Rich, I wasn’t too worried, strange that games do this but it really doesn’t affect much.

It’s been 72 hours now since I placed my order for the wheel and adapter and nothing seems to have shipped yet. I even got the expedited shipping. Yeah, I’m a tad annoyed and I’ll be more annoyed if it doesn’t arrive by the time I get psvr2.

Yay, the wheel and base arrived today. Not bad since I only ordered it Tuesday and it's come from Eindhoven to the UK.
Boo, the pedals are still marked as "being processed".

Although it did say in stock on the website I think, judging by a few previous posts, possibly there may be a low stock of pedals over here in Europe as well?
Within a day they have now moved to shipping, so just a slight delay after all.

@LOGI_Rich is there any firmware that can be updated in the pedals? If so is that a separate operation or via the base? I was just wondering whether to leave any base updates until the pedals arrive.

Hi all, hoping for some help with my Pro Wheel connected to PS5 playing ACC. Have the wheel set in Pro mode but ACC will only detect it as a G923. Tried everything to get it to be detected as a Pro Wheel but just won't happen. Firmware of steering wheel and peddles are all up to date. Not sure what the issue is!!

I expect the first question would be - are you using the PS5 specific version of ACC? I say this because the older PS4 version probably doesn't know about the new wheel. I'm assuming (because I haven't tried It yet) the PS5 version would/should do.

Ah well can't do much about it, the pedals will get here eventually.
I'll just sit and stare at the wheel over the weekend. 🙂

Pedals shipped. It misses the weekend but at least it wasn’t a long delay.

I ordered on Monday and got the wheel the day before you so I’m sure yours is going to ship soon.

Actually not too long ago I received an email saying the pedals have now been shipped. So all is looking good. 👍

Actually the slight delay has given me extra time to fiddle around with fitting the wheel into my setup properly. I'd have probably have just plonked it in otherwise. 🙂

Great quality product @LOGI_Rich, really nicely packaged too. And I haven't even switched it on yet!

Nice!

I also fitted mine to the NLR 2.0, and it’s sooo nice. I can tuck away easily (well it’s heavy as hell) but this is the setup I’ve been waiting for such a long time.

Pretty amazing, I absolutely cannot wait for PSVR2.

I'm definitely thinking about getting that too.

It's all @Jordan's fault. With his positive reviews of the G Pro and now the VR 2, he's been making me spend my money. Stop it now, no more reviews for a while please*! 😉

* Or if you do say whatever it is is rubbish.

Adaptor got me over the line. Just pulled the trigger on a Pro Wheel, Pedals and Adaptor. Upgrading from G29. Will fit it to my Playseat Challenge. Wish me luck!
To use on PS5. Mainly GT7.
Anyone got any PS5/GT7 tips/settings/hints so that I can hit the ground running?

If it helps I'm using an 8NM DD Pro on a Playseat Challenge at 100%. I have bought some braces for the wheel deck (by Indigo Lime, you can find them on eBay) to prevent flexing and it's fine. I appreciate max FFB on the G Pro is higher but should be ok.
Hey! Which braces did you buy? Classic? Pro?
How much difference do they make? Should I install the wheel and see how it goes without braces before buying them? Or do you think they're a "must have"?

@CustomX I'd say some braces might be beneficial. It's of course more powerful than the G29 which will induce more twisting forces (depending on what strength you have it set to), but one thing I realised as soon as I picked up the box is how much heavier it is over the G29. It's a hefty beast. It almost doesn't need a clamp. 🙂

Pressing on the load cell brake will increase forces on your rig too. Although you can turn that down.

I would say that balancing the TF Audio level in the wheelbase menu with the Controller Vibration setting in GT7 is paramount if you're at all interested in the finer-detail side of things.

Try each on its own (the other dialled down to 0) and then mix to-taste.

How do I proceed to get an RMA replacement Rich? I'm an A+ driver and this thing is costing race after race disconnecting right on the middle of the match. This is completely unacceptable for a wheel at this price range. Let me know replacement steps please ASAP.

Thanks!

I bought the Pro braces. Made a big difference for me, the wheel deck has no movement. I suppose a lot depends on how the wheel is mounted. I had to move the plate away from me as much as possible to mount the DD Pro.

Sorry to hear that. You’ll need to raise it with our support team using the link on support.Logi.com. If things take too long then just let me know your ticket number and we can escalate it.

One thing I will say is that as it was fine at first and is only now doing it, do look at anything you might have changed that coincides with this happening. It could be anything: environment, rig position, wiring, other equipment…

@LOGI_Rich

I'm back again with some testing data.

I've been able to connect to my PS4 playing GT Sport for a few days now. No issues to note until today. I've left a run through USB tester in the entire time. Days I'm not having issues readings remain pretty static, 5.xx volts 0.00A.

However, today when trying to power on the wheel nothing after selecting platform. The readings from the tester were 5.xx volts but the amperage was fluctuating pretty often anywhere between 0.00A and 0.40A.

Power from my wall outlet is currently about 120v but when I first noticed the issue I was getting readings around 127v.

The wheel seems like any measurable current through the USB cable shuts the wheel down and tries to restart (three dots until it times out).

I'm not sure what kind of readings are coming from the transformer brick, but it seems like perhaps it's not effectively regulating the electrical current?

It's been a great wheel and I've enjoyed it since it first launched. Other than some residual vibrations that would continue occasionally after the race is over (which I mentioned to you before), it's been a great experience. I have not changed a single thing with my setup or settings for months. I have no clue why this is happening, but I can't use this thing if there is a chance it will disconnect mid race. At the A+ level in GT7 it's extremely competitive and impossible to maintain that level with an unreliable wheel.
I'll check the website for the support info.
Is there a number to call as well specific to racing equipment (beyond the standard support number)?

Thanks Rich. I do think it's brilliant of Logitech to have someone from the company participating on the forum here. 👍

Yes using the PS5 version

First package arrives at 21st, I presume the wheel, GT Omega Art arrives at 22nd and after that I will have them setup in the living room updated but no pedals to play 😭😭😭.

I really hope they ship them by Monday, I saw a post in this forum that he got the pedals with a similar delay (in Europe).

Yes using the PS5 Version.

It did detect it initially when I first got the game but since the latest update it doesn't seem to want to anymore.
I'm not sure about previously, but I've recently tried the Pro on it and you are correct, the PS5 version of ACC does detect and show the wheel as a G923 (even in the wheel's default Pro mode). However as Rich says above I don't think it matters too much because that unlocks the Trueforce options and seems it seems to function just fine. If there are any future updates to console ACC the Pro might show up.

The best way to get hold of someone is by getting the ticket started and let me know the number 🙂

One last thing: have you tried swapping the USB cable for a different one?
