Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

That made me pause for a second before I then realised what I think you're doing. Click the wheel image that's in the screen after clicking the gear icon won't do anything. You need to click the wheel image from the main screen in G HUB:

Yes this is what I meant, in this screen clicking on the wheel doesnt open anything for me, unless I hit on the settings icon.

Thanks Rich. That confirms it. Unfortunately shifting the plate like that puts the wheel much to close to my body for comfortable driving. What do you advise? What are the pitfalls of using only 2 M6 bolts? Can it cause damage to the wheelbase?
Have you tried adjusting the tilt angle of the seat using the velcro straps to open it up a bit and give you more space, or is that going to have you looking too far up when you lean your head back? I opened mine up because I always find the head rest too restrictive otherwise.

Using only two bolts won't damage the wheel base though - it's more just to make sure that it's secure enough for you and not lifting up at the front.

@Igano that's odd, definitely. Might be worth trying to uninstall/reinstall G HUB to see if that sorts it.

I like the idea of on the fly brake pressure adjustment so I ordered the racing adapter on the 19th & paid £9 for the 1-2 day shipping.
So far it has been 4 days & they still haven't even processed my order!
I've just had a moan with a sales agent, asked for my £9 to be refunded & to change my order to regular delivery because I might as well wait the extra few days now.
What is the point of offering the service if it takes days/a week to process an order, it's an absolute joke!
Most online retailers that offer a paid for express service will process & ship the order same day if placed before a cutoff time or next day if placed after the cutoff, how come a massive company like Logitech can't get their s**t together?

Rant over

I ordered mine on the 18th. Did they say when they expect it to ship? Do they actually have them in stock at the Eindhoven warehouse?

Its been a while since I adjusted the seat. I experimented a lot when I first got it and then found the perfect position. Will explore some other adjustments along lines of what you suggest.
The 2 bolts appear to be holding it super firm. No sign whatsoever of movement. I'm really pleasantly surprised by how well the Challenge handles such a heavy, powerful unit. You (Logitech) could be promoting this angle a bit more because I'm sure there will be other people like me who aren't sure whether their foldaway rigs can handle the Pro base. I'm happy to help with a testimonial if you want.

Was showing as in stock when I ordered it, sales agent couldn't say when it would ship & is going to get back to me about the refund of the express shipping cost.

@Igano to zdecydowanie dziwne. Może warto spróbować odinstalować/ponownie zainstalować G HUB, aby sprawdzić, czy to rozwiąże problem.
Witam wszystkich. Jestem zainteresowany kupnem zestawu kierownicy i pedałów G Pro. Mam pytanie z jakiego materiału są wykonane ramiona tych pedałów i osłony?

I’m cancelling Amazon prime soon. They started doing this. “Two day guaranteed shipping” but then it’s from when they put the order together. I used to live somewhat in the boonies and I’d get stuff within two days sometimes earlier. Now I place an order on Monday and maybe get it by Friday if I’m lucky, but it’s usually Saturday or Sunday.
i read online some people placed logitech orders paid for 1-2 day shipping and got their product in a month or two. 😮

Just a thought. Have you got your wheel set to PC mode (on start up) when connected to the PC via USB.

This thing (wheel and pedals) is pure epic. I am totally in love.

The adaptor still hasn't shipped. Anyone in Europe received a shipping notification on the adaptor?

My pedals and adaptor arrived today, ordered last friday 😊 probably wont have time to set it up with my g29 before weekend, but the parts are in tha house 😁

Username checks out 🤪

Decided to set up pedals, first time I try load cell pedals so cant compare them to other pedals, but have to say they are fantastic, and after 5 laps Im doing pb, and Im much more consitant already, this is the expirience, I was hoping for when I got my g29 😊 and really good solution with the adaptor, so the break preasure can be changed 👍

Great to hear. I was trying out the new races earlier with Sophy and even after the years that I’ve been using these pedals (yes, it’s been a while that we’ve been working on them) you still appreciate the level of control that they offer you when up against the quality of driving that Sophy Violette presents.

I will receive mine on Saturday, so happy that you report it works so well with the Playseat Challenge!
I'm interested in buying this wheel too, based on the general views I see about it being one of the best options to experience GT7
Have read all 21 pages here and yet nobody is talking in detail or has highlighted exactly what TF with GT7 offers in effects and showing the settings for these.

I'd appreciate it once you get it up and running if you can give some comparison to the effects it has as to what we are now able to enjoy with tactile and Simhub. Just that I am curious to learn which effects may actually work well when combined with the multi-channel Simhub tactile configurations I am building effects for.

Tonight’s session was even better than yesterday. Didn’t wanna stop. And the funniest thing is the wife still hasn’t noticed that it’s a new setup on the Challenge, even though she walks past it a few times a day and constantly complains about how ugly it looks in the hallway. I think I may have pulled off the perfect crime.

I have no idea but the G923 had trueforce, unfortunately on that wheel, I don’t think the little motors can handle it. I tried it and it was sort of neat, rev the car and you’d feel it in the wheel but in quick order my wheel just started rattling, I turned everything off, still rattled. I’m currently running it without trueforce or controller vibration on and I did a fix to my wheel which really minimizes the rattling to almost zero.

I tried cranking the ffb torque up, the wheel feels fine and fairly strong but you get that clipping or whatever people call it.

I am looking forward to having trueforce back along with a heavier smoother wheel. My brothers got a T300rs and the wheel is way smoother and more solid feeling than the G923. But I can still kick his butt from time to time, I run my G923 fairly light so I still get feedback through a turn incase it kicks out. Higher ffb torque the wheel feels better, but I think it just doesnt give the info when you crank it up to say 5 because I spin out a lot more if I do.

I’ll for surely be giving a review between my G923 and the G Pro when I get it setup and run it for a week or two.

its hard to really know judging by YouTube reviews, their reviews basically consists of oh wow, wow ok, yep ok wow. And of course the dreaded “unboxing” of a product review at the start.

ill probably make a new thread titles comparison between G923 and G Pro. If the G pro blows my mind maybe Logitech will give me a kick back if they see a sudden increase in wheel sales lmao

Still searching for the right tuning with GT7.
Feeling slides and locking them in a drift seems to be pretty hard.
As if 1080 degrees is far too much. Might try 540 or 270.

GT7 defaults the GPRO to 900. Asseto pushes the correct/corresponding degrees for each car.
I now think that is actually essential for a correct corresponding look on screen and feel of car.

So this is a review-second impressions post.

I have played 2 nights straight for 3 hours each as I didnt have time for more :'( .

I installed the wheel on a new GT OMEGA Art cockpit (without the seat frame). I loved the fact that the wheel installed very very easy and was very compact. I have 0 wiggle from the cockpit and I can highly recomend this combo!

I just did a firmware upgrade and I have not touched any of the settings of the wheel either in G-HUB or PS5. I do not even know where they are and what they do.

The steering wheel FFB is amazing, I am getting so much detail and i can catch slides quite easily like I have never done before in my sim life. (previous wheels were DFGT and G27)
I am very happy with the force of the wheel even though I have no clue at how many nm its on by default. I definetely wont need it any stronger as I was struggling to keep the R92CP in the Le Mans straights to the point I got sweaty in 15 minutes (I workout in the gym very often keep in mind).

The rim paddles are the best I have every seen and the feeling is absolute, you just cant make a mistake with them. The rim is decent and of high quality but I am waiting anxiously for a formula type and a big round one for rally-drifting. The buttons help a lot with GT7.

The pedals are amazing as well (cliche). So many customisation options that I have not needed yet, since I loved the pedal setup as they were. I found the strength of the load cell exactly as it should be if you are using socks. They have a very very solid build and the fact that you can remove from the frame (I might invert them in the future), or change the spacing or move the pedal covers to your liking, makes them top and of similar quiality to the wheel. You can't break this combo!

All these factors result in a very solid wheel-pedal combo that give you great feel and help you having a super steady performance. The price is high I know, but for what you get you will not even think about it. I am honestly seeing my self keeping them for 10 years and never looking back. I hope this review helps people who were in a similar position like me, I was looking for what gear to buy since GT DD PRO was announced and always found disadvantages in other choices. The only drawback is we don't have a complete ecosystem yet, but judging from the quality of the wheel and pedals I can't wait for more rims, shifter and handbreak! I will be getting them A.S.A.P.

Totally agree what Igano says above. Before this Pro wheel, my best bang for buck home toy was the G29. I've had 4+ years from it. Now the Pro Wheel steps into its shoes and easily eclipses it in every way.
I didn't enjoy using the paddle shifters on my G29, even though I thought they were pretty decent, although I was not comparing them to anything really. The magnetic shifter paddles on this Pro Wheel are a pure joy to use. I'm still looking forward to the adaptor so I can use my H shifter, but I can see myself opting for paddle shifting in many cars, going forward.
Yesterday I took the 787B for a spin @ Le Mans in GT7. I used the Praiano 1.27 tune. What a freaking hoot to drive. One thing I noticed which I found super cool; on the straights at speed, if I took my hands off the wheel even for a second or two it started shaking and shuddering quite violently left to right to left and the car quickly started to lose control. Ultra realistic, I think. It totally feels like your micro 1/100th of a second hand adjustments are reacting to every bit of force feedback from the wheel, to keep the car on the right plane. I'm pretty sure the same wasn't true for the G29. One could take hands off wheel and it would (unrealistically) stay straight. Just an awesome experience.

Trust the reviews; they're spot on. Logitech have nailed it.

Hi all. This may be a really dumb question.. but i play gt7 with the settings like logitechs recommendations and 11Nm of tourqe.
But i never get that much torque. When im using that display it goes to maybe 2-3Nm at most.
What display are you referring to? Are you saying there's a way to configure the Pro Wheel's lcd readout to tell you exactly how much torque you're experiencing at that moment in time? I'd love to know how to achieve this!

There is a torque option in the homescreen menu (On the wheels menu), there you can select to see exactly how much you are getting at any given time.

Isn't that just the option for setting the max torque strength? I have mine set to 11. Max.
Or is it another option?

Scroll down to Home Screen, select it and then choose Torque. You'll then get the live and average torque values displayed on the home screen.

Just scroll down in that menu and find the option called "homescreen" there you can select what you want the lcd screen to display.
If you dont see that, then maybe you need to update the firmware?

GT7 defaults the GPRO to 900.
Interestingly, whilst it appears that it does this (because it sets the angle on the OLED to 900) it actually sets the wheel to 1080 - you can see this by going to the wheel test screen in GT7 and you'll see that you still get 540 degrees either way before you hit the soft stop.

In GT7 it's mainly focused on the contact with the road, with some engine note added into the mix (but actually fairly far down in the mix). You'll be more aware of the track surface, rumble strips actually feel like they should and understeer/slides are majorly improved with more granularity in the feeling; you can really feel it as you dial the wheel back to the point of grip. It'll be interesting to see what you come up with in tandem with the Simhub configs you're working on.

I remember some wheels in the past could change the degrees on the fly ( I think it was Thrustmaster), is this possible for the G PRO? If not can you change the degrees in general or is it only defined by the game?
