Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

It feels great in gt7
What do you feel, give more information, please....
I'm seeking opinions on what are the best sensations from TF regads GT7
Your own views may be different from others that have experienced various levels of tactile and have been experimenting or enjoying the new benefits Simhub offers.

Nobody is denying that tactile can add to the immersion and fun but if it's possible to create effects via Simhub to combine with TF then having the ability to alter specific effects volumes from the wheel would of been better than not having them.

iracing windows 11!

Windows…unstable hell. Sorry I really hate it. Glad that ps5 now has a very stable VR race sim. Finally an option without a troubleshooting noise making expensive windows machine. For me it’s Apple and Sony. Stable closed ecosystems

Hope that some update/setting somewhere in your ecosystem fixes things for you! Good luck figuring it out💪

It feels great, road, engine noise building up on low and high revs, curbs, bumps, car weight, scrubbing tires midly and verry hard stuttering, brake slides..gear shifts..

Interesting...
Reckon we can take what it offers and build upon that with multiple tactile for the seat and also pedals.
I've already created some effect options of pretty good road texture and road bumps that I am currently applying differing frequencies and responses to 3 pairs of stereo units for shoulders/mid-sides/lower back.

The multichannel tactile with the wheels TF and VR2 will be a nice combo to enjoy GT like never before.

*Balance of summer holiday to pay for March but think this might be the wheel to settle on.

I don’t have much to compare with. But it feels instinctual to me. Push it into a corner, I can feel the front tires scrubbing. Back end breaks lose, feel that too as the steering gets light. Different cars give a different vibration through the steering wheel, some are more intense then others. They way I have mine setup the weight feels like any road car. Take the AC Cobra, brake hard the way it kind of nose dives and pulls to one side, it feels like one tire is almost grabbing harder then the other. Curbs or rumble strips feel like you feel in real life. Brrrr brrrr.

that has to be a better comparison or review than what I’ve seen on YouTube. Most of those “influencers“ just say oh wow, wow ohh ok yeah this is nice and then they conclude that it’s a good wheel, it’s a bit expensive but it feels incredible.

I’ve only driven a Microsoft sidewinder, Logitech Momo, G29, T300RS and a G923. It’s way better than all of those. That being said the T300 is I think the best wheel for your money out of all the wheels on the market. They were just on sale for $500 here too. Only reason I never went for it was I decided I’m really enjoying racing online, I’ve got stuff I can sell to pretty much pay for the wheel. I’m going for it. Had the wheel been $1000 Canadian I would have bought it long ago, for me biggest downfall is the price. But hey, I enjoy racing so whatever.

@almazing I'm very active over on the r/simracing, r/Logitech and r/LogitechG subreddits as well :) More pedals are arriving soon but a precise date is still difficult due to the continued issues with shipping globally.

@kirtster How long have you had the wheel and have you changed anything in your setup in the last week? Possible causes of disconnects are: USB extension cables, USB cable damage, power supply interruption, static shock

@CustomX Something's not right there. I suspect the order didn't go through correctly because we have stock of the adapter. Please get in touch with support and they can chase that up for you.

Thanks for the comment, Rich. I've had some issues getting hold of support. Have just sent you a private message. Cheers!

Just did a Rally race in GT7. Just wow! The feel of the surface. Actually so good and rather easy to slide and drift through the whole circuit. The PSVR2 headset rumbles when you land back again after being airborne due to jumps. That in combination with the Gpro feedback / impact shock made me go: Whattt!!Wow!

Reporting in on something I noticed. I have a GR86 fully tuned with an engine swap as well as a TVR Tuscan Speed 6. With my G923, I gave up trying to drive those things. With the G Pro, gave it a try yesterday, TVR wasn’t a hassle at all. The GR86 was still a handful but I found it a lot easier to drive. I think a heavier wheel or more torque might be helping with that because before you’d break traction and it was extremely difficult to correct, not so much with the G Pro, actually saved some crazy usually unsalable slides somehow.

ive had the wheel about 4 months no issues. ill check my connections again. would this prevent true force from working but still have force feedback? and the tachometer

I used my G Pro wheel for like 6 months with no disconnect issues then it started doing it randomly a couple weeks ago. Nothing had changed in my setup, but I'm wondering if an update to GT7 or the PS5 itself perhaps caused some issue. I saw it mentioned elsewhere by Rich that USB extension cables can cause problems. I ditched the extension cable and replaced the stock micro USB cable with a long high quality one like this...
Anker Powerline+ Micro USB (10ft) The Premium Durable Cable [Double Braided Nylon]
I have run something like 20 or 30 races online on GT7 since replacing the cable and have had zero issues.

@kirtster Unlikely. Something else is going on there. Is G HUB still running when you start iRacing? It's not needed for Trueforce, but the RPM LEDs won't work if it's not running. Do you have any other Trueforce-supported titles and is Trueforce/RPM LEDs working in those?

No, Forza isn't Trueforce-compatible. Other than iRacing, the following are the major titles on PC:

Dirt Rally 2.0
Assetto Corsa Competitzione
Automobilista 2
Project Cars 3
GRID (2019)
Snowrunner

I tried buying the wheel/pedals/brake adapter with PayPal but it wont load the payment screen to login.
Was going to take advantage of 4 months credit to make it easier explaining to wife that this is an essential purchase to enjoy the VR.

Even if I try to go though the checkout paying via card the website will not go beyond step 2/3 😑
Tried this on several devices.....

I'm still waiting for my adapter, 10 days now. Also still waiting for a refund of the £9 I paid for 1-2 days shipping.... ;(
That sucks.....
Did they not notify you of "other issues" perhaps regards stock shortage or an expected delivery?

As you refer to £9 for the faster shipping then this kind of peeves me off too....
I detest companies listing items as in stock and ready to ship when they perhaps are not.

I gave up trying to buy for now but maybe it saved me some frustration, as I certainly don't want to order something that's listed in stock and be in the scenario like yourself of 10 days later and still nothing.

Hope your item arrives soon

Really annoying this product is not available to buy from various online retailers.

*In-stock orders placed prior to 3:00pm EST usually ship the next business day. Some orders may be delayed due to order processing or other issues. Once your order has shipped, delivery time is based on the shipping method selected.

Just did allot of laps with the Alfa 155ti with Sport Hard tires. This combo feels sooo good. Was sliding through every corner like Colin Mcrea.
The GPRO set is really growing on me. 🔥
What track? Praiano tune? Or another?

I'm thinking we need a Logitech GPRO fave GT7 cars thread....

One of my faves is the 911 GT3 '16. I have to take it for a rumble at least one race every session.

I haven't had a single email apart from the order confirmation on 19/02
I've been back and forth with sales support who can only say it has now been picked yet still no emails from shipping so today my patience ran out.
I told sales support to cancel my order completely and I have instructed my bank to block any attempt by dri logitech to take my money.
I've had enough now, if you offer a 1-2 day shipping at extra cost that is exactly what it should be, 1-2 days from placing the order to receiving the delivery.

They are still showing as in stock ready to ship! :irked:

I find on this game all the older cars feel much better to drive than the new stuff. The older ones feel more different from one another, more character, different feedback. There’s some new cars I enjoy driving but yeah anything 1990 and older feel more real to me. Used to play GT Legends and the cars in that game were like that, hop in one car to another and it’s a completely different drive. GT7 isn’t quite that way but close enough. That 73 Porsche 911 feels awesome with this wheel.

So my G Pro Wheel just came in along with my Playseat Trophy. I assembled them, updated the wheel firmware, and played GT7 in VR. I still do not have pedals because they are still out of stock here in the USA. Please be in stock soon. I ended up using the secondary paddles as the throttle and brakes. Not ideal, but still playable. I do have to set the angle to 540 so I can use the brake and throttle paddles in tighter corners. I must say, that the FFB and TF kind of reverberates through the frame so it feels almost like I'm in the car driving. In certain corners, I can 'feel' G forces, or whatever my brain is simulating for me. In addition, the feedback of the road surface is transmitted to the wheel like the real thing. I'd say even better than my cars. I take my Veloster N to the track in the warmer months(newly purchased GR Corolla will see track time this April), and the VN's steering doesn't even have the same level of feedback this wheel has in game. I turned up the TF audio setting quite a bit because I feel that all that extra ambient noise, frequencies, and feedback simulates what it really is to drive a car on a real road course. I'm going to have to set up a fan at some point. In a real life track driving setting, windows are down, engines are loud, and it's just a very loud and very visceral experience overall. I'm glad that this wheel is able to simulate that somewhat. I want the most immersive experience and I'm glad this wheel is able to deliver.

I'm still getting used to driving in VR, but I'm driving it as I would in real life. Looking ahead, turning my head to where I want to go, etc. I played a rally stage and the sudden elevation changes really screws with my internal equilibrium. But I imagine it'll take some getting used to. Once I get the VR sweats, I'll take a break until I'm normal again.

Now... if these darn pedals would come back in stock so I can complete my rig and actually have the full, true experience in VR. I'll take one pedals please! Just take my money dammit!

Almost same situation here re Adapter. I don’t know what else was in your order but I ordered GPRO wheel pedal and adapter on 18.2. Wheel and pedals arrived within 5 days of order. Great. Adapter ; identical situation to you. Was told 7 days ago that it has been “picked” and should ship “soon”. Received same exact message yesterday after chasing.
The whole e-commerce order system at Logitech is terrible. The order still says “accepted”. No indication that two of the items were already dispatched and delivered.
Honestly, Logitech, why build your own e-commerce site if it’s so poxy? Just use Shopify which works well and focus the saved resources in fulfilling orders for all those items you supposedly have “in stock ready to ship”.

Totally awful e-commerce experience. None of this is on LogiRich. He is amazing

edit: just received a shipping notification at 20:30 Friday European time. Says expected delivery next Tuesday.

Yes the buying process is horrible. I ordered my wheel+ pedals, filled out everything correctly (Netherlands btw). Then the website created 2 different addresses out of one, where the shipping address was now incomplete. They couldn't even change it and i just had to take it up with the shipping company after they had sent it.
Then even though the items were in stock nothing happened in the week after my purchase. No shipping confirmation or tracking.
I decided i wanted out of this deal as i also had the Thrustmaster T-GT2 at home. But they couldn't cancel the order either (or tell me anything about the status). Then suddenly the next week at night when i got home from work, there were 2 giant boxes left behind in front of my door (still no shipping confirmation).
Now they were there i might as well try them out and after a few minutes i was sold.

The products are brilliant but the process to get them is horrible.

@GlockPants The PS mode of the wheel does indeed do things differently but only in as much as the specifics that we have to adhere to as part of the console specification. Genuine question: does the same issue occur if the wheel is not bolted to your rig?
Unbolting the wheel to the rig doesn't seem to make a difference. It worked one day unbolted to the rig, but the next day (today) I was having similar issues not being able to connect. In fact today I couldn't even get the wheel to the mode selection screen. The time I had the longest successful connection, a period of 3-4 days, was unbolted the first day and bolted the others.

Voltage readings seemed to be nominal, 122V at the outlet, 47.99V from the power adapter.

Only thing different from one day to the next was that I'm having some work done in my bathroom to repair water damage and there is an industrial sized dehumidifier running. I haven't confirmed anything yet, but my power does seem to dip and surge a bit, I'm not sure if that's related to my moisture issues causing some of my wiring to be compromised.

I only ordered the adapter, have had the wheel & pedals for months now.
I ordered it because I like the idea of adjusting brake pressure on the fly but after all this hassle I just don't care anymore, they can stick it!

Dunno if you saw my edit but i got a shipping notification tonight…
No offer of compensation or discount to make up for the hassle either.
