Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

Lots of users here complain about GT7 ffb nerf. I do agree with them and also want to be able to setup my wheel the way I like, but have you ever tried the base at 100% for example in rf2 and also FFB per car also on 100%?

The game does not restrict you for the full power of the base, but also it's a hard core sim expected to be driven by growen men.

I'm not a weak guy, but I think it's undriveable even for a weak car as Clio RS. You can actually harm yourself there.

I didn’t run it a 100 % in GT7 before the update. It’s not missing much for me atm. Even running it lower, the fidelity of the TF gives great feedback on what’s going on with the car.

But I’d imagine the nerfing will all be fixed in a coming update anyway. I have no use for a more powerful wheelbase, this is the sweet spot for me.
 
The dial on the adapter is only for when you're using it to connect the Pro Pedals to a G29/G920/G923 where you otherwise wouldn't have the ability to adjust the brake force.

For the brake pedal randomly going, if you let go and press the pedal again does it start working? If so then please do get in touch with support as we have a fix for this (it would require us sending you a new junction box for the pedals).
Thanks for answering Rich. Yes it starts working again when lifting. I was last thursday in contact with Your support-team, but still waiting for a specialist. Issue #11964873.

I'm sure non will ever use the base at full potential for everyday racing, but all of us just want to try what is to drive with 11nm. I expect massive clipping coz the base is on the limit. If you have a serious race for an hour or even 30min one will understand how much it actually is. You will be exhausted and feel pain in your arms at the end. It wont be racing but self tortur. If you are not holding the wheel strong enough during the whole race you can even break your fingers from a sudden crash.

I did lot of research since I came back again to simracing. Taking my own experience with the DD wheel so far, also some favorite famous streamers using 15-25nm bases and so on and so forth.... sweet spot seems to be somewhere between 5-6nm for most of them. This doesn't mean to jump for a 5nm base coz it will be already on the limit. 11nm is ok just to have enough free room for the peak moments, so you not lose details.

Having that headroom for peak moments is quite important. Having the full force available means everybody can dial the wheel in to match their preferences.

I’m not advocating using the wheel at full force, but I respect if someone wants to do just that.

Honestly didn't think they'll do a handbrake given the niche audience but quite pleasantly surprised even if it's only a snippet / accidental error. Can't confirm nor deny @LOGI_Rich ? 😊.

Yeah, looks like a leak, but I’m guessing it makes it likely that a Pro shifter would be close to release as well and that’s awesome 😎

That's simply something we reported to them when testing a few weeks ago. You may remember that the Pro Wheel has a handbrake axis that can be assigned to the dual clutch paddles - this currently isn't working in the game's controller map by default.
Awe, i was just gonna post. Sadly probably just for the wheel handbrake. Sucks to be right this time.

Has anyone tried the new WRC with the g pro wheel?. How is it?. What did you come up with for wheel settings?

Angle: 1080 (remember to calibrate in-game)
Is 1080 a good angle for the modern Rally1 and WRC? I thought they have around 540 degrees. Or will the game adjust it depending the car?

By the way (I know that you know), I need a handbrake and a sequential shifter for the g pro. I like it very much on the PS5, but pressing the correct button for handbrake while turning feels kind of unnatural.

Maybe just a little snippet of a tease, if and when we will get something.

As long as you calibrate in the game and enable the soft lock option then it should automatically adjust per car and provide the soft stops for when you reach the maximum turning angle. Honestly, you could set it to 900 degrees and calibrate and it would still do the same.

And yes, I know that you know that I know, but no teases, I'm afraid. :)
 
A slight update for the PC/PS versions which have Trueforce support in there today (the version the settings above came from did not have Trueforce support).

The legacy Tyre Slip adds quite an aggressive judder when sliding, so I dialled that out - if you want it back then just dial it back in, but I feel the more nuanced Trueforce-based effects are preferable. This was with TF Audio at 100 on the wheel base.

Any reason why there's no TrueForce support on Xbox Series X? It's pretty frustrating after it worked so well in Dirt 2.0

Xbox is a pretty different system from the others and a LOT has changed on the console since DR2.0 - a complete change in SDK on the console side from XDK to GDK, for starters. We've asked the WRC team about the Xbox situation but they're understandably busy at the moment with launch, so let's see what happens; who knows? It could be something coming in the first patch.
 
Thanks for the info. Would be a real shame if it's left out again after F1 23 and Forza - it seems like a dead feature on Xbox.
 
I don't really believe in an update here anymore. It has been like this for too long.

PD also wrote with the update back then that there should not be any injuries if the settings are too high. Which is ********... My opinion...

So why should they increase again. I would also like to have more, but I no longer believe in it.
 
I don't think so either, that we will get more Nm with the update.

I've noticed today some strange thing while playing GT7... I've played today 30 minutes on flat screen. I wanted Gold in one circuit experience. So I went back to VR and the wheel seemed to be stronger on flat screen than it was in VR. Same car and same track. Is this even possible or was it only my imagination? I must admit, that since I got the wheel I have been playing only VR. I have no way to check or prove it, only my feelings.

This wheel is a workhorse. Yesterday I've played 3 hours without a brake and this thing wasn't even warm. Thrustmaster crap would have burned after 3 hours.

I really appreciate the build quality so much, that I have ordered Logitech mx mechanical keyboard + logitech mx master 3s mouse. I need something new for work and I trust the quality after I bought the wheel. Maybe I became fanboy, who knows xd

I don't think that makes a difference. Wouldn't make sense to me at least.

In terms of quality, however, there is better hardware. I had the Fanatec DD1 for 2 years before the Logitech G Pro and would say that the quality is much better here. There is less to no plastic here, which can creak.

Compared to the price Logitech is quite expensive and on the level of Fanatec. But just with more plastic...

For the Playstation, it is difficult to find licensed hardware. There are only a few manufacturers left.

If the reviews of the new Fanatec DD+ are positive, I will probably switch back. For me, the hardware has to run primarily on the PC and the PS5.

Nevertheless, I do not want to talk bad about the G Pro, but it can also be better. Is just my opinion, because I already had various Fanatec hardware over years.
