Logitech G25 for £99 (play.com deal is back on!)

Yeah but its RRP is 200/250 so even with the G27 it will not be sold at a £99 PP right away i dont think.

Plus there is alot of threads regarding the G27/G25 comparisons in the wheel forum, and from what i gathered, the G25 still seems to be the better wheel or wheel of choice even with the G27 release

The original RRP that it sold at years ago is totally irrelevant. When the G27 launches, they will want to clear stock of the G25 as quickly as they can. What do you think they are doing now?

I also find it intriguing that despite the G27 not even being out yet, the G25 has been voted the better wheel or wheel of choice. Right, whatever... I call BS, and a distinct lack of patience.
 
Have just decided that I dont care about lack of money, and ordered one! Cant wait to play some GT5p with the wheel!

As far as im concerned it was just too good value to miss!

To be honest, on the G25 vs G27 stuff. the G27 does look a lot nicer, but given that at best the store price is going to be £200, the extra features mentioned for the G27 so far dont look to add £100+ value over the G25 (likewise the fanatec stuff again looks amazing, but not sufficiently amazing to be worth the extra over the 25.)
 
Really pleased to see others are taking advantage of this deal. I personally always wanted the G25 but the £199 price tag put me off.

Those who have ordered should have their ordered dispatched either today or tomorrow. When this happens log into your account and next to your order will be the tracking number. I found this really useful because I knew exactly when the G25 arrived at my depot and when it was dispatched so I knew when to expect my package.
 
The way I see it, I know I don't wanna pay £200, £250 for a wheel, so that rules out the G27, even if it is a solid improvement, and even if the G25 price comes down more than this when the G27 arrives, it won't be by much, and I've been wanting this wheel for quite a while now. This made my day. The wait is over :) Thanks again 👍👍👍

Thing is, the lack of sequential gears for the g27 is what would throw me off buying it in the first place. I want both damnit... so G25 it is!
 
Dabs.com are doing them for £120...perhaps they ship worldwide? i ordered mine from Play. Stuck my Driving Force Pro on ebay and will soon be ready to go. I expect that others will be trading there DFGT in...so here is mine on ebay, give you an idea what they go for. cheers guys

Like I said previously the G25 will be sent via courier rather than royal mail, the courier company is called Home.

Those who have ordered should check the tracking number to see if its been collected from play.com. Once it arrives at your local depot you can expect to recieve it the next day. As its been a bank holiday weekend I expect those who have ordered to recieve their G25 on Wed/Thurs, unless the G25 is already at your local depot in which case it will arrive tomorrow.
 
i ordered mine on Friday AM. still 'packing' Thats the only thing about Play.com..the slow delivery. but for £99 i can't moan! hopefully by the end of the week. Hey i bought GTR2 for PC.. it seems awesome, even with the keyboard! does anyone else play? Just noticed GTR Evolution also. Is that worth buying? cheers guys
 
Does anyone know if there's a chance for a future bundle like: Logitech G25 (or G27) + Gran Turismo 5?
Did they do that in the past (GT game + wheel)?
 
Mine is being dispatched on Tuesday (after having some problems proving that my house is actually my house. The girl on the other end of the phone just wouldn't accept that I live there (as for some reason they check against the electoral roll, and apparently I wasn't on it (despite voting the other week....)

Anyway once the manager finally okayed it, got told that it will go on Tuesday, along with a massive amount of other ones! Seems that strangely enough this offer has been very popular!

I almost wish that it wasnt going on tuesday though, as thats just going to mean that its delivered to an empty house as no one will be home until Friday (unless I'm lucky and next door spot the delivery van...)

If the courier is unable to deliver the package it will be returned to your local depot. They leave a card with a telephone number to ring and then you use this automated service to arrange another delivery date.

Im surprised some still have packing next to their order. When I ordered mine it was shipped the following day. Being a bank holiday weekend doesn't help I suppose.

I know of several friends who ordered on Saturday/Sunday (after I told them about the deal) and have got the item listed as "Packing" right now.

On contacting Play I've been told that they have none left and that I probably wont get one...

Just wondered when other people ordered, and whether anyone else is still stuck in the "Order Taken" phase...?

My order of a G25 is taking long also but it has moved to the 'packing' stage a couple of days ago. Does this mean i definitely will recive one? If I do not get one i will be gutted. Sorry to hear you probably will not be getting one.

I ordered on friday and since saturday it says packing. I'm not suprised it still says it because yesterday was sunday and today is a bank holiday. Their stock must have run out within 2-3 days!?! todays the last day (I think) so maybe if you still order one you might get it on a later date. Who knows.

Do you live in the UK? if so go to dabs.co.uk. £129. Not as cheap but still a good bargain
 
Hmm, I think I was pretty early in on this deal too, but my account was declined for no apparent reason also. I phoned them today and got it approved, and my order is sitting on "order taken". I will be really gutted if they've messed this up for me :(
