Im sure the reason for the price reduction was to clear the current stock. It wouldn't make sense to purchase even more.

I dare say play.com were probably selling at a loss. Some companies do this for instance I bought my Sony 40" V4000 HDTV for £599 including a 5yr guarantee. I have no doubts they were selling at a loss despite them bulk buying this particular model. You will find companies will sell at a cheap price so they can clear the stocks so they can then get the new model i.e G27.

slightly off topic but ive just got a dfgt-great wheel and does anyone know how to change the steering from 900 degrees to 200???

Maybe you have rigth but why they still have G25 for sale?? If they would clear G25`s why don`t cancel from website..

need to sort out some kind of temporary stand until I sort out a job (and can afford to get a wheelstandpro)

Er - I don't know - I bought mine through Paypal - so don't know...

You can pay via paypal without having an actual account too... (I think you need a CreditCard for that)

I bought mine with just a normal credit card. I'm state side so not sure if that makes a difference.

At the moment I have a dfgt but I'm planning to buy the G25. Can I use the wheelstandpro(g25 version) with both sets or is there any kind of problem fixing the dfgt wheel and pedals?
How much time to receive the stand? Do they deliver it directly to my address with registered mail?

Yes you can. I bought the G25 version and I dont even have one (yet). And I have the old GT Force wheel which is very similar to the DFGT and it all fits fine on there.

The only difference between the versions are the holes in the mounting brackets. You may not be able to bolt it on, but should be sturdy enough with the clamps. The G25 version just comes with an extra bracket to attach the Shifter to.
