Logitech G25 for £99 (play.com deal is back on!)

I need some advice about playseats.

This website has the playseat Evolution for £260.

Now this is £130 cheaper than what play.com are charging. How reliable is Gameseek website because thats an amazing price difference and makes me rather suspect. Also as im 6ft 1in tall would the playseat be sutiable, How adjustable is the playseat??

I'm taller than you and I've got plenty of room in my playseat, and there is still loads of room for adjustments if needed.

If other folk would be using it, I'd advise you to get the seat runner things to adjust the leg room on the fly. If it's only you using it, then you don't need to bother.

£125 is pretty good for the G25. Might get one to use for the PC/LANs.

That's a cheap copy and not a proper playseat. Also notice the lack of support brackets on what would be the steering wheel 'arm'. That thing is gonna wobble like anything.

Errr...no its not. true its not as good as the more expensive ones. BUT for the money, nothing can rival it. Plenty of support structurally

im tempted to follow up this deal however the economy shows its signs again :scared: plus im wondering if i should wait untill the g27 is released i am sure there will be another sell on the g25 once the g27 comes out and maybe then ill have some cash. isnt it comming out this month?

According to the order tracking thingie, mines been delivered and is now sat in the greenhouse at home in devon.
Annoying thing is that I dont think my essay is going to be finished until sat/sun so wont be able to leave uni and drive home and get it till then....

Im afraid you have missed out.

It appears play.com no longer have any stock of the G25 because the current seller is from another company.

You do have my sympathy because it must be annoying. Still im sure other sites will be trying to quickly sell their stock ready for the G27 so its a case of just searching.

Hi,

I was in the same boat as you "order taken" and had been like that for a week. I called Play yesterday and the lady there said they are now out of stock and they wont be getting any more back in. She said the best she can do is cancel my order as I have not yet been charged.

Gutted because I was really really looking forward to getting the wheel :grumpy:

Depends whether or not the G27 is significantly better than the G25, surely? Why pay £200+ for something marginally better (assuming it is better, as it's not released yet) when you can pay £100 for a good wheel? It's a slippery slope buying the latest kit just because it's the latest kit...

I can't see the point of paying an extra £200 for what is a very similiar product. I personally think those who are buying the G27 are foolish because all it has over the G25 is flashing lights, stiffer shifter, in other words its just a minor upgrade without the sequential shifter!!

Yes for many money is tight but we all deserve a treat now and then. This extra saving of £100 makes the G25 affordable for many of us.

you definitely have to wait there's no excuse....come on, 99£! Do you realize you're all damn lucky?
 
Remember that they don't take your money until sending it - so make sure you don't spend it in those 2 weeks!!

Whats happening??!! I called them on Sunday and (as I mentioned above) was told they arnt getting any more in so, and I quote: "the best we can do is cancel your order, were very sorry but its been a very popular offer."

If they are getting more stock in again and I was told they werent I am going to be a bit grumpy to say the least. I wish I had gotten a name of who I spoke to now..

What can I do? Do you think can I re-open the order so to speak if i give them a call? Oe now they have "kindly" cancelled it for me is that is finished (I would assume thats it).

I guess I'll be paying the extra £35 or so and get one from Misco then when I next get paid...
