Looping When Trying To Load Game After 2.10 Udate *FIXED*

I think that is necesary to remove all the wheels from standard cars to do that.

Until 2.02 standard cars wont be able to open my savegame with diferent wheels

EDIT: as you see in the image the wheels didnt open but the color aren't a problem

That golf has been painted in a DLC colour, then are not necesary to delete or change the color of the cars.

I deleted all DLC cars atleast 2. GT-R academy and Toyota GT86 Concept II
And Tickets with a releated DLC car
I doesnt delete colours.

UPDATE: 1.00 wont open your gamesave beause standard cars with rims changed crash the game.

The no thumb happens when you dupe them out. Just create a new thumb. If you cannot and can't drive them then you have a problem too.

Yeah. Noticed one car wasn't able to be driven, which happened to be the ZZII. Was able to delete it straight away though. Good thing I had two others, both unpainted. The PDI Kart 100 (the one from getting to level 1 a-spec) also was broken, and I trashed it too.

No, because it won't let me do that. When I try, it says something like windows can't open the file. I'm only guessing that you need a special program on your pc to open PS3 files.

I was also told that it was not as simple as doing that anyway. That too is posted in this thread somewhere.

EDIT: Just putting this out there, if anyone knows how to dig into gamesaves and delete the offending cars, I will gladly send you my gamesave to do so. I know its been said before that it can't be done, but if there is anyone out there that knows a way, let me know. Otherwise, I'm just stuck waiting for a patch from PD.

To that topics looping, have noticed at if you try to start GT5 during PSN friend list refresh/loading it hangs up.
So have to wait few minutes after logging in PSN before starting GT5.

EDIT: After reading the last few posts, I can tell you that it is not an un-deletable car that could be causing the issue. I say this because on one of my many trips yesturday back to 2.09, I was able to delete all of my cars except of course the one I was in which I bought new just for making the new gamesave. Still had the looping with no cars in my garage. I stated this before when I done it, perhaps you just overlooked that experiment. Anyways, not the issue guys, sorry.

I pointed this out the other day for the simple fact going back and reading is all very well but following everyones steps is just as advisable too.

Like I say people are not there with you following each step. Its only what people write that gives us a clue has to what has been tried.

Now that cars have been found in his save after he apparently deleted them which is not the case otherwise he would of found out earlier in thread then it could of been recognise that not everything has been tried or it may of been tried in the wrong way.

Anyway no problem everyone is still looking for a solution and we,re in all in the same boat trying to help on the matter with the DLC.

you must have something thats preventing the game from booting up in 1.00...

I only have a chromeline car, no other DLC and the savegame from 2.10 will open in 1.0...

Thats more or less what I said other day.
Go back as early has possible if your game will not load move on to next update try again, If it still doesn,t load move on to next update and if it still doesn,t load move on to next update etc etc etc?

Until your able to delete the car, Now if you end up at the 2.09 then there must be something in the save thats DLC or something else that needs deleting to be able to get back to a point to be able to delete the undeletable cars?
That would be something you could try to delete while in 2.09 so it gives you a chance when you try the above steps?

If so people can rule them out has being the problem of loading up in an earlier version.

Yes, as I more or less said the other hour:

some content seems to be ok I'm sure my GT academy tickets just show up as "????" on them and some cars that have DLC paint just show up as white...

You can open it in pretty much any text editor. Ok it is still encrypted and DO NOT modify it but at least you can see inside it. There is a little bit of plain text you can read.

1. Click the file.
2. Check Select a program from a list of installed programs.
3. Click OK.
4. Browse to and select Notepad.
5. Click OK.

The file will now open in good old Notepad. (Best program ever!)

This will work for GT5.0 - PARAM.PFD - PARAM.SFO

Ok it wont help you fix your problem but at least you can see inside the file and it is good future reference for opening other files that "can't" be opened.

Am trying to rule out what was on your save in comparison to others who it will NOT let them open there game in an earlier version.
Thats why I asked if you had anything, Items sent from others. Painted DLC cars, Glitchted wheel cars etc.


Has for glitch tickets many have them already so am guessing they won,t be a problem now for you but could of been before you did the going back? (If you had any?)
Since you did not have any then it would be recommended to delete them if you have any in 2.09 before going back to an earlier version?

Plus its what was in your save rather what you can get in your save now?

You managed to correct the problem by getting back to 1.00 so your save is a difference to others apart from DLC which we have all discussed its what other stuff you had in there what others have got different to you now?

Can someone explain to me non DLC cars that "aren't installed"? I've never bought any DLC so i don't understand. One example being a Zonda C12S which I bought from the used car shop...? Or am I missing something. Sorry, been away from the game for a while, figures I pick it back up when it's gone to ****.

Well Indeed it is the corrupt cars or car in my case causing the looping thing...
mine in question happened to be the Nismo 270 i believe its called. standard car. ive have it in my garage for quite a while. and i could never do anything with it. get in it, tune it, sell it, nothing. so i knew it was corrupt for a while but had no idea how to get rid of it so i left it. It was only after reading this thread after i updated to 2.10 that i started to seek a fix or just any information regarding the loop. Then someone mentioned a corrupt car file. and dang....

So... i did what was suggested. Good save to USB, Deleted the Game data,
I have the first edition GT5 disk so i put in V1.00, kept disconnected from the net IE no cable from ps3 to router, not sure if that matters maybe u can just ignore it if it asks u to update, loaded the game (V1.00) with my save. And was able to delete the Nismo 270.... Saved and quit the game.
updated to 2.10 and it worked thank goodness.... 2 1/2 years of work saved....whew

Hope this can help others with this problem, i know it wont help all. Hope others can find a fix for their particular issue. Also a big thank u to all that posted possible solutions. ALSO i don't have any DLC, just the free stuff. like the new vette, and the stealth mclaren/gamestop 20 nascar.

Do you have any DLC installed?

I tried go back to 1.00 and my save wouldn't boot.

No i dont have any DLC car packs or paints. Just the new Vette, and the Stealth Mclaren/ Gamestop #20 Nascar car.

Also if u look back a few pages, someone said to try go back to the earliest version u can get into and try that that version. If v1.00 didn't work for me i would have tried v1.01 and so on till i was able to boot up the game with my save or i ran out of versions to try.

Figure out which car or cars is causing u the problem first, then just try booting up your save in each version till it works.

However this might not work if your corrupt car just happens to be a vehicle that is DLC or one that gran turismo. just won't let u delete, or get rid of.

did you delete the free dlc like the vette c7 before going to 1.05? also in 1.05, are the glitch cars still represented with the yellow exclamation mark? if so i will also go back to 1.05 and delete the glitch cars.
