I do but the last time I tried this, I deleted them all. The only thing on that account when I tried the last time was the two undeletable cars, the car which I was in, and the undeltable DLC. Nothing else was on that account.

No worrys mate I could get back to version 1.00 in the game and it looped when I entered the game but not at the GT5 screen it got all the way into GT5 home screen. Thats why I could see your truck.

I exited and checked the version of the game I was on. Went to game data and clicked the trianlge to see what version I was on, It didn,t give me no version since its the first. 48 mb was what was showing?
I am going thru a things and seeing what happens when I do certain things.
I will keep you informed of any news.

I have the first complete pack, the 2&3 car pack, the race car pack with all the karts and the black red bull x2010, the speed test course pack and the corvette prototype.

Care to tell us how you did that. As I've said before, I have certain DLC that cannot be uninstalled therefore I can't go back any farther than ver. 2.02. Anything before that and the game won't load because of the DLC that I can't delete.

I started by deleting my game data and then updating up to version 2.09. Then I went down my entire garage trying to get into every car through the triangle button menu until I found two cars that wouldn't let me change. So I tried to delete those cars and found that I could not.
I then deleted my game data again, and this time tried to start from version 1.0 (I have the original disc) but it wouldn't launch, so I updated the first update, (1/20 on my game) canceled the download after it installed and checked to find that I was on version 1.05. Then disabled my internet, started the game and I was able to load it. I found the two corrupted cars and luckily I was able to delete them. After that I manually saved, turned internet back on and updated to 2.10 and crossed my fingers. As far as my DLC cars that had the yellow exclamation point, I didn't touch em. I left them and all my other content completely alone.
I hope this helps others too. Maybe I was just lucky that I only had older DLC apart from the corvette prototype.

Yes, thats the same thing it was doing for me also when I tried going back further than 2.02. (probably because of the DLC that can't be deleted)

Maybe I was just lucky that I only had older DLC apart from the corvette prototype.

Just look at post above and see what DLC is different what you have mate?
Its just I tried all the same has above but when in 1.05 it just looped like normal unlike above post. (In the GT5 home screen?)
So you may have some more DLC than what he has.
Thats why I can not seem to get yours going.

Ok, that has nothing to do with me tho. I was able to delete all cars except for the ones I listed previously.

This is just getting to be one big, endless headache, lol.

PD, just patch the crap already.

I'm not sure either because I didn't delete any of my DLC karts or anything. I was able to start at 1.05 without changing my save data at all.

You must be using the wrong disc mate thats all I can think?
With your save I can get back to 1.00 no problems.
Its easy to check just make sure you have a back up of your save, In a couple of places at least.

Delete game data and delete game saves off the PS3

Install your disc that is the first ever edition of it? It will look like a brand new profile.

You then go to game data click triangle on the information to what version your on. It should say none and a line thru it.
The first update is 608mb which takes you to version 1.05.

I have not deleted anything from your save prior to doing any of the above actions?

That really baffles me that you were able to go back that far without deleting those things because others have tried also and got the same results as me.

No mate while in the early updates its just froze on the main screen, Looking at your level 40 B-spec and A-spec.
And the elise you were in. I can not do anything it justs sits there nothing nada kerput. Froze?

After doing the updates 1 x 1 till where I am now its either froze or looping in the main screen. Even the demo plays ok until I click the little house it loads to main screen and then froze or looping looking at your truck and other stuff?

So it maybe an hit or miss if you can get it to work while on 1.05 version which is the 608mb update?

If you can go back to any of those updates with my current save and delete any and all NASCAR cars (even tho there are just two causing the problem) that will fix my problem and I will be able to update to 2.10 with no problems.

It is those two cars that is causing the whole problem as the PP of those cars can't be updated due to their "ghosting" condition.

I wouldn't waist anymore of your time on it Chris as it just needs to be patched, there is no other way. I appreciate your time and effort, but I think it goes well beyond what anyone on these forums can do. It just needs to be patched which I really don't think is going to happen at this point. It seems to be a minority problem and I really don't think PD is worried about a few peoples game save here.

At this point, it is just a lost save thanks to PD. Thank you PD for waisting over two years of my life.

At this point, I'm just going to close this thread if no one has any objections.

Now it maybe that you could leave it and see if it loads I left it for a good tens minutes but no joy so went to next update?

Gone thru all updates and nothing. Hope you get a fix in the future but seriously belief that you should leave the thread alone and let it run.
Otherwise you,ll never get a fix if one is to be found plus others have already been helped and I belief others could be as well.

2. entered as the first software upgrade and did the 1st try, did not work, did the update 2 and it worked.
3. procedure to clear the car that caused the problem.

5. install the game.

Here we go again. Ok, did you have any DLC that was installed. I say this because I know that it is those cars causing the problem, but in my case I cannot go any farther than version 2.02 because of the undeletable DLC on my account.

Your method will work for people with no DLC, but in my case, the DLC is holding me back from going any further to delete the offending (ghost) cars. So, did you have any undeletable DLC on that account?

christara321 has already tried this and reported that it does not work so what am I missing here. This is his report.

Add me to the list of people stuck in the loop. I've known about two problem cars in my save for a while, never been able to do anything about them, today I updated to 2.10 and I'm stuck.

I also get frozen on my home when trying to play on 1.00. What's weird is I can play arcade, even with the problem cars. BUT if I use any of my favorites, there is no engine sound, no tire squeal, and no crashing sounds - but the gearbox whine and road noise from the tires is present If I use the preset arcade cars the sound is fine.

I don't know if this is useful info but the date acquired for my two problem cars is some time between 7/26/2011 and 8/7/2011. From reading the thread, the kind of cars doesn't seem relevant but mine are both standards, a Nissan SKYLINE Sedan 300GT '01, and a Mitsu ECPLIPSE GT '06.

I need detailed, step by step instructions of how you did this. I don't care if you stopped to use the restroom in between or kissed your wife/girlfriend, lol, I need to know that too. so when I try this again, I do it exactly as you did.

Just need to try the next update mate and so on till you get one that lets you into your garage an delete the cars.
Once the cars are deleted you then update to 2.10.

He found a solution but I try all his steps and doesnt works for me.

But I have diferent problems than you. In 1.00 or 1.05 I can join to GT menu but I cant do anything there.

I found a funny thing. In 1.00 I can take my ghost car in arcade mode on favourites list XD
Now I will try in 2.07 if it do something and that ghost car is back..
