Thanks was getting mixed up with all that initial gear and final gear stuff. Just knocked 1.3 seconds off my tune using Praiano's tune on the first lap lol. Also took your advice and let the wheels just spin on acceleration and also put more rear downforce on. Should be another second in there somewhere. Sitting at around 170 at the moment.

Max DF is the way to go.

I want to try this event but does this car worth 3M? I'm running low on money lol.
Yes, it is worth every penny if you just like to TT and drive alone. Probably the "most fun" car in GT6, imo.
The Senna events are still open, so you could get it free for getting Silver in those.

This TT event itself pays over 1 million for getting Gold.

1:49.106 Max Downforce Praiano63 tune. 289th right now.

Does adding weight really help ?

Another thing, How many of you changed the oil ?

Where is the Senna event??

Gave this seasonal a go and ran into the mid-low 1:46's (with DS3), should have been nicely in the 45's but I completely botched the final chicane.

Will have to try out other people's tunes as it sounds like you guys are using a completely different downforce setting - I have my front at 1450 and the rear at 1520. Figure I'm losing a lot of traction and time by keeping it low and it seems there's little punishment on the straights by running high aero.

God damn at seeing a 1:42 on the board, I hope that's more through better tuning than me sucking balls so badly.

Thanks to @praiano63's tune and some very timid driving I ran a 1:51.656 after a handful of laps. Although I have to admit that I didn't really drive this car, I survived it. Anyone interested in forming a 97T survivor's club?

@t_wilson01 Very nice driving! Love the videos... You're so right...I do feel more like I survived something rather than accomplished something. There are so many moments were I really felt out of control - like the car was trying to kill me and I was doing everything I could to prevent it from accomplishing it's goal! LOL

Great tunes by Praianio and Racing Team. Gold first go with a dodgy old Driving Force wireless wheel with only 400 deg turn and will only work as automatic - and Im a lousy driver! The trick is to utilise the massive downforce. Just like you could go flat out through turn 3 at Brands, here you dont have to lift at all in Eau Rouge, just pick a good line. Getting the exit right with throttle control through the chicane at the top of the straight is also important. Great fun car to drive - and great tunes, thanks guys.. :)

I watched the replay of the current number one on the leader board and noticed a few things about the tune.

Ride Height is slammed, both front and rear. Looks as low as it can go. Sparks fly most of the way around the track.

Camber looks to be at zero all the way around.

I think I see a large amount of toe out in the front.

And a bit of toe in on the rear, but nowhere near the high default number.

Springs/dampers seem to be just below the middle, so medium to soft. It is super hard to tell from the replays, but that's my bet.

ARBs who knows? The car did not lean drastically so I would guess in the 4 to 5 range... maybe higher.

I don't know if I could drive a tune like that.

@ALB123 Thanks bud. 👍 I feel the same way, it's not enjoyable for me trying to control such insanely high performance cars with a DS3. I can't put the power down for fear of spinning out or turning too much and going off the track before I even knew what happened.

PS: Welcome to the club!

@Motor City Hami Your observations are very close to Praiano's tune in the OP. After getting used to the extreme steering sensitivity you'll see that it's quite good.

It's known IP hates this car, and he appears to be busy lately, but I hope he has the time and motivation to do this one. It just wouldn't be right if he missed it.

Really do love this event, car has so much character it puts a smile on my face every time coming out of those slow corners whit tons of wheels spin, in praianos tune power goes down really nicely if you get it right. I hope I have enough of motivation to do at least couple of laps every day (gonna go camping for couple of days though) and see my self do a lap at least in 1:45 or even better, gonna take a lot of training, although I haven tried the praiaino tune with full DF and that little ballast someone suggested, but I don't think there's too much time there, I mean it seems i could push even more in those corners whit these current DF setups but it think I just lack the skill :D

here's a video of me on a "perfect" lap :D

I tried this seasonal event with Praiano Tune, at first it was ok but I didn't manage to get some throtle at the end of the straight, then I lowered the AR bars to 1/3 and managed to make a 1:45.719.

It's not good for me yet, yesterday I was in 24th, today I'm in 34th :(

Did anyone found a better tune to try? I always make my one, but on this one, It's really hard to rech 1:43/1:42 like the first and second guy have.

I worked on a tune last night, but it's not finished yet. It needs more refinement to be really fast, but the car is easier to get into a rhythm with.

Ride Height 52/52 (fewer sparks and faster in En Rouge)
Springs 21.00/21.75
Dampers Compression 4/4
Dampers Extension 5/6
Anti-Roll Bars 3/2
Camber 1.0/0.5 (zero may end up being faster, but this stabilized things a bit on corner entry)
Toe +0.06/+0.12
Brake balance 5/5 (6/5 started locking the fronts)
LSD 12/10/15
Downforce 1500/1800

I cannot remember the transmission settings off the top of my head, but I did the flip trick to try to make taller lower gears for less wheel spin.
