@LJP64 keeping calm man! It's really better with a wheel, it's not easy to be really sensitive with DS3, it's achievable but not easy, I'm not saying that it's easy with wheel, but more controlable, keep at it man! 1:42.xxx it's also not easy, I made almost 700km and I didn't make it!

I've been looking but can't find it- do they still have leaderboards on the playstation site, or did they drop that with GT5?

The tunes listed in this thread have helped me a ton. Sitting at 424th with a 1:49.060 right now and I know I have a couple seconds left on the table with tuning and a fully clean lap. Been playing at night without the sound on so I don't wake anyone so having to use an automatic as well which is slowing me down. I think the real key with any high downforce car is trusting the cornering speeds it is really capable of. Good luck all!

I don't have a wheel, for the following reasons:
- I don't play enough time to justify such an investment of at least Eur. 300 to get a wheel
- I don't have enough space in my living room to install a wheel.
Sorry, but I will not keep at it. And the reward is not worth the pain.

You have driven 700 kms on that event!!!:eek:
I have lots of patience, but not to that point.

There are no LB's for GT6 on the site as yet, but I, along with everyone else, am hoping they make a welcome return when the proposed community features are added into the game and integrated on to the website.

@Sadioki : If you're using a DS3, here is some tips:
-Start with praiano's tune, add max downforce and adjust the final gear so that the top speed is about right (that is quite important as the powerband is not so wide)
-LSD 12/8/5
-add front toe-out and rear toe-in, about -30/+50 should do it.
Thanks again for the tips, After applying your tip I jumped from bronze 2:03 to a silver 1:57,535 ! I did change the traction from 0 to 1 it made my car more stable and easy to handle at corners especially at the last crucial corner, I don't have enough experience with these fast cars, but I feel I can beat the time if I keep at it...thanks to all the other member who advised me, your tips did help me a lot , Thanks also to t_wilson01 for the replay video, it showed me when and how to accelerate, good racing!
Finally I'm having fun with this event :)

Is someone going to lend me their 97T for this one  ... I haven't quite mastered it on Brands Hatch yet - I can normally just do it easily but this is a beast of a car - mash the power and you lose traction/time or spin out coming out of corners - its fine brake and throttle control and pushing it to the ragged edge without losing it and I''m still 4 secs off silver because I'm bottling it or overpowering/braking. I have traction control off abs off but steering sensitivity up to whip it through the turns:cheers:

I used the tune from @Weider and banged in a 1:46.552 with a DS3. 👍

Of course my COTW sparring partner @Lewis_Hamilton_ has gone quicker also with a DS3 so I've got my work cut out to beat him. :mischievous:;)

Lending cars is not possible in GT6:indiff: You'll have to buy it.

MIA stands for "Missing In Action" and is a term used for soldiers that have died in the battle of war and whose bodies they have not found. In this instance, people have aggregated him to the degree that he deleted his account. more info can be found here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/fitt-federation-of-international-tuners-and-test-drivers.291311/page-26#post-9917234

He did not delete his account. He simply made it private.

I don't know why you have to keep fanning the flames Elias and no one agitated him anyway. He wrongly assumed that I was talking about him personally when all I was doing was making a general statement, it was not directed at anyone in particular. He took it upon himself to post in that thread assuming my opinions were aimed at him, which again, they weren't.

If you're within half a second of my ghost line going into the final chicane, you should beat me, that's around how much I lost there. There's obviously lots of time to be made up throughout the circuit as well (another 3 seconds apparently :boggled: ) but I couldn't find anymore traction with my setup. I'll try the other ones floating around here when I get the chance. I'm sure you'll beat me, I don't have the patience for hotlapping, I've always prefered, to quote from yourself, sparring out on the track instead.

I never said who said this, and who was guilty for that, or who did what. He got agitated, if you said or did anything or if it was just he who perceived it that way I'll leave unsaid.

Alright, after a bit of aggressiveness and slippery action I managed to improve by 2.4 seconds. I'm now at 1:49.262. :D It bothers me how slowly I have to come out of the last chicane, but it's the only way I can keep from making a donut.

"No Problemo" 👍 Glad to be of some help. Watching your ghost line at the start of the lap you come out of turn 1 very well, but then fall off midway through Eau Rouge. Don't lift, try to take it flat out.

Thanks t_wilson for sharing the video! it's such a pleasure to watch, great effort, there is some skills you do I don't know how you do it, I have to watch a few times to learn some techniques. Yes you are right I have room to improve and go flat out, I was just nervous and hesitant from this scary high speed circuit.

Got some time to give this a go, used praiano's tune but reduced the rear spring rate to 24.60 and the front and rear ride height to 48 and added full downforce. Managed a 1:48:410 for 311th about an hour ago, all aids off except ABS: 1. Using the DS3's right stick for accel/brake is like sitting on a light switch with a time delay, more time is still out there.

Is it fair that that dude GTP beu or whatever has 3 times?

He can be a bit of an arse sometimes, but he just told me that he ran on TRL_beau, and his brother ran GTP_beau, and no other accounts of his were used, and I believe him. What's the other account, out of curiosity?

BTW, he says he's running high ride height, not sure what's going on there.

:gtpflag:Yes guys and gals, it's possible to beat the golden time using Ds3 and even with Automatic transmission, I watched t_Wilson01 and top players replays and followed their lines and did a fast lap, not caring losing or winning, but the nerves got me at the last corner, and slowed down at the curb, and thought it's over for me, but was surprised to get Gold anyway 1:55,998 by a margin of 0:00,002 at the edge of losing , I can improve my time to 1 second more, but with no credit rewards, I rather take the paint chip and leave this event. and say to the person in PD who did it , " I hate you ! My fingers hurt because of you!" :)

my set up that may help a rookie like me, it made the Lotus easy and fun to drive.

Transmission : Automatic
Traction : 1
SRF: off
Active steering : off
Active stability : off
Abs : 1
Steering type : controller stick (Power A)

Tune by Praiano63
I modified transmission final gear to 3.350
drivetrain differential gear 12/10/7
Downforce : front 1500. rear 1900
Toe angle front : -0.30. Rear 0.50

Thanks Praino63 for the the tune,OP Elias Johannson for the thread and tips, Wilson for Replay and Gost line , and to all the members who helped and inspired me win in short period of time, your experience saved me a lot of time and effort.

Intensity level of this TT is easily OVER 9000 I mean I should set up a camera to record my facial expressions :D I mean I remember almost biting my teeth off in NURB 24 TT becouse of the excitement but in this one I go trough all the possible facial expressions there is :D I mean I'm almost laughing when I have good acceleration out of that first hairpin, and the horror starts to build up coming to Les compes with way too much speed braking way too late and then start to feather the throttle trying have enough courage to floor it and after diving in to the turn 8 again braking what seems to be way too late and some how trying to work that down force as much as possible through that slow speed sweep and then when you see the road a head go straight you FLOOR IT on 3rd gear whit a ton of wheel spin and the intensity intensifies as you plummet in to the shadow covered turn 9 which is luckily welded in to my memory due to quite a mileage on GTA or otherwise I would probably blew it every time on this one already... The Pouhon is really hard, I mean I have hit it on the spot couple of times and I didn't probably even fully lift of (can't really tell, I should study my replay on that later today) but I don't have any sense of turning point or anything it's more run on instinct and there for I'm not very consistent on that corner and it's make it or brake it for me since it's easy to loose up to .3 seconds here and it's too much... Turn 12 is quite simple but then again you have to brake in the absolute last moment to make it good and after that it's all about how brave I feel, I mean you can go trough this set of corners whit almost your foot down but my heart rate in this point on a good lap is over 290 and the fear of messing it all up usually makes me to mess it all up just by going a tad too slow and loosing .5s and there for wishing I'd rather floored it and just went off rather that being such a wuss :D on turn 14 again a lot of courage is needed but after that you get a change to breathe (I actually find my self breathing quite heavily on this point) and coming to the bus stop luckily there's a decent braking point just before that white line but going really slow on that lotus is really hard and every time I'm on a good lap and going trought that chicane I find my self trying to breathe as gently as possible, I mean it's like I'm literally trying to breathe on the throttle :D I mean I find my self usually laughing after a good lap because all the emotions I'm going trough and the way I let it all out :)

Oh man this is a great game!!

Sadioki Thank you for the kind words as they fill me with joy... until I look at the leader boards. It's great that you managed gold after so much hard work. however, what is this about you quitting? It's obvious that you're improving so keep at it for a while longer now that you don't have the pressure of trying to get gold.

ODB You're so right. 👍 This time trial has taught me that I can hold my breath for 1m 49s.

Mahen N Alien Alert! ;)

I have lots of patience, but not to that point.

I got a used DFGT for 75€ mate, it worth the investment until I can buy a G27 :)

It's not hard to do 700km in the event, 2 or 3 hours playing eheh

I'll have a look later to confirm but I thought I noticed 3. Would be nice if he could share more on his setup.

I'm sure he would, if his account was'nt banned for some reason.:boggled:

Surprised he has the skill to set up the the lotus but can't make up a new email address to join here again.

As much as I love to watch this car, I really don't like to drive it.

Tried the event yesterday (did not have much time to spend) and got silver on my first lap (did not change a thing on the car). Next five laps I was not able to improve my time, let alone getting gold... Frustrated me a bit.

Today I decided to try a tune and used @praiano63.
Took me three laps getting used to the total different feel (steered into the grass a few times) and golded on lap 5 in 1:52:651.

Thanks @praiano63 for this gold, but I am going to leave it with that result and put the beautiful monster back in the garage, just to look at it

Once you've been banned, your not allowed to make a new account.

And don't talk bad about someone you've never meet;)

What do you call someone who spontaneously jumps in to defend himself from things he wasn't accused of? Guilty.

Somebody confiscate Cargo's keyboard.

I've met him and he is really a good guy, albeit he does not always show it.

And sure you can set up a new email address and a new account, but they have an automatic detection when 2 accounts are set up from the same IP so you'd be instantly banned again.
