i know some people probably dont want to disclose this info, but i was wondering how many pit stops some of us plan on making. im thinking 3 for myself, depending on how badly i do, maybe 4. with the draft being so pronounced and possible bump drafting, im curious.

everyone?

There is another rule that trumps the hard surface comment. The kerbs are always considered the edge of the track. The lines get ignored quite often but I've never seen it where you're allowed to go inside a kerb.

That simply isn't true. Just read the OLR, and the rules each week and you'll see the rules vary from week to week. There are white lines and curbs at HSR, yet neither are the defining marker of what is clean and what is dirty.

For the GTP registry qualifier 2 wheels need to be on a hard surface, not a line or curbs. This is explicitly explained in the directions for the qualifier, just like the directions for each WRS event.

I'm not sure how quick the tires wear out, but I think 3, maybe 4 stops sounds about right. In the Integras when we ran here we pit twice with 20 laps. Since we are running 9 more here a third stop would make sense, however the Integra wasn't very good on tires so we'll have to see how quickly the Elise goes through them. Most importantly you're going to want to pit at the same time as the people around you, so when you exit the pits you can continue drafting together.

Also fuel will come into play this race as well which will effect pit strategy somewhat. Protip, you can take about 10 liters (at least I think it's liters) of fuel and it won't effect your pit time as the refueling finishes before the tires are changed.

On a side note, currently quailed second, best I've done so far in this series. I don't think it'll stand though as I know others can do 13's and 14's. Regardless come race day starting postion won't matter much, there will be loads of passing in the first stint due to the draft.

IF SOMEONE TELLS YOU YOU'RE ON THE WRONG TIRES, LEAVE THE DAMN TRACK.

I am absolutely pissed off right now because someone didn't do this, I caught up them on my flyer, got their draft, had to redo my run, then messed up and went wide on Dunlop.

Great job.

i was the one who told him first or atleast i noticed first LOL. unlucky though mule :(

also when i do my time in a few mins or so can i have SCO? ;) i hate the word Great Britain lol :embarrassed:

I don't even know what you're talking about anymore but it's immaterial to the lotus series so we should just really just drop this. 👍

Sorry about that Mule. :guilty: I didn't notice until it was way too late.

I was thinking of only doing two but it will come down to whether you're by yourself or have a drafting partner. I'll be flashing my lights to indicate that I will be pitting although I'm not sure that will be effective.

Here's a quick onboard I uploaded before I took off for work. It's the lap that got me pole:

Very tasty. What a sexy lap. Congrats on P1!!!

Edit: what a fun post number (959)!

I dont think I got in but how do access the qual. sheet? I have them book marked but I dont see all the times.

Wait. We're allowed to change our gear ratios for qualifying? :odd:

That was a thing of beauty, though. The way you attacked the Dunlop chicane and Tertre Rouge was exactly how I did it in practice it but I didn't in qualifying to be on the safe side. I do fear for you considering the leader is pretty much a sitting duck.

it dont show up properly oh well

never mind there ed figured it out im using my Ps3

also can my name be put in the entry list ?? ...... where its got everyone on the 1st page

Need to start editing your posts buddy.:)

GTP and most members not big fans of double, triple, etc. posts.

@Wardez. Man, you nailed that lap. Car looked like it was on a rail.👍

I just hope we can all get through the first few laps without too many issues. Really easy to get in over your head with the draft. Ran a practice race with Watson, eers, and Eero before entering quali. Drafting behind one car is not too bad, but a line of cars will give you a huge pull. I'm sure we'll all do fine. Just going to have to be very aware of what's going on around you those first few laps.
