I think I should get a bonus point for pushing NEPALII to the fastest lap of the race on lap 18, a 09.2 :D

Edit: and for helping Wii get his 09.4. :D :D

First off, I feel bad for Wardez, Mule, and Watson. Two disconnects and trouble with the headlights. I had been worried about disconnecting myself and I thought the headlight thing was related to too much drafting will break them.

I want to say "it can only get better from here" but I've also said that after the two races before this one. :/

I wanted to quit after 10 laps because it was ridiculous how you cant race alone, loosing 4 seconds per lap. I am not happy bump drafting, was so hard to keep the car straight and the only guy who was left to work with did not want to cooperate so it was really frustrating. I did not quit simply because i did practice a lot but all in all it was useless as you cant go fast alone.

I am sorry but a night to forget...

Low powered cars on a fast track with lots of straights means that Bump drafting was easily the fastest way around. Sucks that you were stuck with a guy who didn't want to help you, though. We had one of those guys in the lead group as well. Whenever you'd try to bump him down Mulsanne, he'd pull to the inside, and almost caused a couple of wrecks. Also let Wardez pull away until he disconnected, too. 👎

to be honest, i vastly underestimated the skill a lot of you guys have going well into the race and maintaining control of your car. so far i've qualified middle of the pack in the two weeks i've been involved but couldnt translate that into race performance for the life of me. i didnt have the transmission set properly for LeMans, otherwise i wouldnt have backed out, and would have been much more competitive considering my qualifying position.

Other than the official WRS, I honestly think that this is the fastest series on GTPlanet, in terms of driver skill.

I have no one to blame but myself for a bad race. Past two races I've been in, I have been my own worst enemy. I was just riding in the draft and and wasn't even thinking about getting out front. I did get hit by mule's car when he disconnected and got put into the gravel. Then spun out in the Porshe curves. Then completely missed braking point going into Mulsanne chicane on the next lap. Hope I missed everyone. I turned it to the inside line and believe ran through without hitting anyone. After all that my race was done by lap 10. Pretty boring race from my perspective.

On my screen, it looked like people had just stopped on the track near the pit wall/outside sand. I thought there was a massive pile-up until the dreaded blackscreen told me otherwise.

my race was a disaster straight from lap1 i made sure not to hit things infront but i think Johny bumped me a couple of times then made a stupid dive at the dunlop chicane hit me in the side then slamed into brando? (orange car) and spun them out which caused most of us to take avoiding action and resulted in a few rear enders and i never seen him slow and wait of the car he spun off. then i screwed up on the brakes into the mulsane chicane luckily i manged to not skid into anyone :dunce: then my race was pretty well buggered from there on in i was resigned to fighting in the lower group until being hit off by eeronmm at indianapolis? roughly lap 8 ish maybe then i ran the whole race until the last 3 laps on my own.
a shame but oh well theres allways next race ;)

Really sorry about that. I want everyone's first race here to be a good one. Sorry that somebody ruined it for you. He will be dealt with, as he's been the focus of several incidents.

If anyone proposes an endurance race at Le Mans again, I'll be the first one to shoot it down.

(...except if it's an LMP car)

The Le Mans Enduro is my specialty!

well like I proposed in the chat after the race; what would you guys thijk about adding Monaco before Nurb to make it 9 rounds and increase the number of races you have to drop to 2?

I'm not sure about Monaco, to be honest. But I'm all for adding another round to the series.

Maybe we can have a Sprint race at Le Mans, for us guys who had their races end early?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! :D

NO!!! :yuck:

Even Paul had issues with Johny. I just watched a few laps of the race on the replay including the first lap and wow, Johny dived into the Dunlop Chicane by the inside. He basically floored into many cars, including Paul's on that chicane. I dont think drivers like Johny should be tolerated to race in a series, specially a series like this one with suck skilled drivers. I dont want him banned, but I want something done about him so he can pay for what he did and hopefully learns about the mistakes he did. This is me: I'll respect and be nice to those who respect me back. You are a**hole to me, i'll be an a**hole too. Simple as that.

Please Mule give this man some bonus points. He is an amazing driver. No, not just because he helped me get the fastest lap, but also because he knows how to be a gentleman on the track. Drove clean, fast and was smart. If it wasnt for him, I would have never gotten the chance to fight for the lead. I was impressed Bros. Well done. 👍

Thanks for the good words! 👍 It's a shame you weren't there at the end after having led much of the race but I have faith in the stewards and they will make the right calls.

I don't really need bonus points, haha. Congrats on the fastest lap. I find it kind of interesting how five out of the top six finishers had fastest laps in the 09.xxx bracket with the odd man out not even being able to break into the 10s.

Yet another close finish at Le Mans :scared: I've raced three endurances on La Sarthe so far, and each one has resulted in a close finish. However this is the first time I've been lucky enough to win. Great race everyone 👍

Also thanks to Brosif and Johny for being drafting buddies when I needed it most. I pitted with Brosif, and we worked together to chase down the leaders. I worked with Johny after I lost the lead draft with about 5 laps to go, so without him I probably wouldn't have been there in the thick of things at the end.

I'd like this, partly because I've missed one race and disconnected from another, so this would put be back into contention. Seriously though, a lot of regulars haven't finished at least one race, some two, so I think this would be beneficial to everyone and would make for a closer points race. I'd also like if we raced Monaco 👍

You do deserve the bonus points though. I would give you the bonus points but hey its not up to me. :dopey:

looks like 1:24's, probably 1:23's for pole at Trial Mountain next week. i put in a solid 1:25:xxx during practice. after figuring out how to tune out the instability the undulating nature of the track gives this short wheel base car.
I'll bet it will be a high 1:22 for Trial Mountain. When I'm going up against the best of the best, I'm usually a second off the fast time and I just hit a 1:24.4 in practice.

On a side note, I have a request for Mule. If syjones1 doesn't show up for the next event, can I have his number? Otherwise, I'll be switching over to 44 from now on.

He already said that he wasn't going to show up for the rest of the races, so go for it.

I hit a 24'3xx.

I'm pretty sure pole will be a mid 24 or a little less since it's really hard to be fast on cold tires there. Really fun track though.

I was spinning out a ton on the Sarhe set up but going back to the old ARR set up did wonders for stablizing the car. (-22 -14 ride height)

Okay, so lost in all this is the fact that because he won this race, Wiifreak wins any car from the Dealer worth up to 500,000 credits. If you could let me know soon so Ican send her off to you, that'd be great ;)

Before I continue, might as well throw up a course map:

Two corners for me to work on is T9 and T13. The rear wants to kick out exiting 9 and the car's really loose all through 13. Otherwise, my car feels good everywhere else.

I did a mock Q run and ran a 1:24.5 on the second lap so you may be right about the pole time. I only got a 1:24.1 after a couple more laps so I know it's 9 and 13 where I can gain maybe half a second. I adjusted the toe (0.03, 0.01) and it feels more responsive. Guess I like my cars more loose than other people.

Thought I'd share this Mule since you seen something totally different. To everybody, this is when Mule disconnected so by no means was this intentional.

When this happened I'm saying, what heck is he doing? Then seen he disconnected which would fully explain it.

Watch the mini map. His car cuts the chicane and hits the nitrous button then decides to pull me over.:lol:

Just thought I'd share. I think its funny more than anything.

Don't know how to embed videos, so I just popped the link on here.

I made sure to check out my onboard from Brandofo's replay as I checked it. That's actually pretty hilarious, if you think about it. I essentially straightlined both parts of the chicane, kept going down the pit straight and forced you off the track before the game realized that I had dropped.

It's not funny at all in the fact that it essentially ended your race, though :/

Also, because I noticed a couple of clear instances of this during the replay, I will state this loud and clear:

Brake-checking the driver behind you will never be tolerated. Ever. If I ever catch you throwing a brake-check on someone, no matter what the reason is, there will be stiff, automatic penalties, that may include disqualification from the race. Repeat offenders will be thrown out of the championship.

I thought I'd never have to say that. Honestly.

No big deal really. I made two huge mistakes a lap or two after this. Maybe it would have turned out different if it wouldn't have happened, but thats the way it goes sometimes.👍

For whatever reason I couldn't see Mule at that point, or I wasn't looking when he cut across. All I remember seeing was you going into the sand, but it makes sense now

I'll pick out a car and notify you tomorrow (well today technically).

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE

IT IS HIM

PONYBOY!

Man, have we (Wardez and I) got something to tell you.

Did a 1:23.9xx at Trial Mountain not long ago after some suspension tuning. Consistently in the 24's. I don't know, might see a 23 or two in quali next weekend. I did a few mock quali runs and you can get the tires fairly heated up on the out lap.

So, thats enough practice at this track for me. I practiced more than usual for Le Sarthe and it wasn't really worth it. Maybe less practice is more for me?💡

I'd just like to get through this next race with no mistakes. Did great at Tsukuba, decent at Suzuka, and crap at A/R and Le Sarthe.

It was everything I could do to stop him from ruining my race on lap 1 (had I been able to stay with the pack rather than getting pushed around I might have never noticed my low-beam issue). We've only gotten this right 2 out of 4 races; that's a pretty bad ratio.
People really need to learn this isn't formula 1. Those are the only cars (and drivers) in the world that can be aggressively attacking each other on lap 1. And the only cars where that position you gain really matters due to the difficulties passing in F1.
If someone in front of you is entering the corner slowly because someone in front of them is entering a corner slowly... hit the effing big pedal in the middle and fall in line. When everyone is in a train there's no room to pass and you should just follow the car in front until things settle in and gaps big enough for a car start to appear.

Remember kids, this is all for fun. No money, women, or fame is waiting for you at the finish line... just the return to your regular life.

p.s.

TEARS4YEARS ;_; ??

p.p.s.
did you give me points rather than a DNF? That's mighty nice of you considering I completed 1.9 laps.

Mule has done a great job handling the incidents of the race. Hopefully some people will now learn their lesson and not do the same mistake again. Of course if I am naughty on the track :sly: I will have to accept the consequences.

Wardez came up with it. Long story.

I really didn't bother to check who many laps us non-finishers completed. I only went through the replay once.

I really don't know how this is fair to people who put in an honest effort in previous races to earn was less points, but did not qualify for this race. 14 points for 1.9 laps followed by a rage-quit is not fair in any way, no matter who came up with it.

Where are you getting 14 points from? He finished 14th.

And I know it's not fair; that's why the 25% rule exists in the first place. :/
