Mad Max 4 - Fury Road

I've been a fan of Mad Max for as long as I can remember and I'm so elated Miller is at it again with what looks to be a symphony of carnage.

I'm all for plot, but I'm not going to care if this film has any, it looks like it's going to be pure art and artistic expression.

Max. The warrior Max. Haunted by his past and fated to wander the brutal Wasteland in search of his better self. To do so, Max Rockatansky enters Gastown, the only source of guzzoline for thousands of miles. Here he finds the final piece that he needs to rebuild his Interceptor – the powerful Boss 351 engine. But in order to acquire the fabled V8 in a world where car parts are worth more than a man’s life, Max must survive a gladiatorial battle in a place called…Thunderdome Plus!

From the mind of George Miller, the creator of the Mad Max trilogy, the prelude series to the upcoming film Mad Max: Fury Road continues in its penultimate issue!"

Interesting take on the continuation/reboot thing.

There are 6 clips of the movie being released by JoBlo movie trailers to youtube, avoid watching them if you don't want to be spoiled.

Edit : okay, this one is non-spoiler i think. No dialogues just a dash of the action. I think i won't have any worries anymore over this movie, it's awesome.

So far only one site gave a negative review about it, all other site are crazy about it and giving it 4 until 5 of 5 !

Saw it tonight.

As a movie, I give it 2/10.
As a Max movie, 0/10.

Max is barely even a supporting character...

Max's brand of ultra-violence isn't appreciated for what it is unless you are more mature, I think. Plus the CGI die hards wouldn't appreciate the practical effects.

Regardless, I would like to hear more evidence supporting your claims as to why I should avoid the movie, besides the fact that Mel Gibson isn't playing Max. Out of everything that I read about the film, this looks like a good way to spend my afternoon tomorrow.

Eh, i think it's not for everybody. This film is too different, i will see this more than once but i think i can accept why some people won't like it.

This is my first time seeing a Mad Max film. Why is there a vehicle solely dedicated to carrying a guitar player and how are they even powering all those amps

The movie was awesome. It's different than the previous ones but i welcome it. If this is the direction George wants to go in the next movie then i'm all in. I just wish there's more action from Max. Hardy's Max was badass.

So, a group of basement-dwellers have started to whine about Furiosa "barking orders" at Max. Insecure much?

My birthday's next Monday, this will make a nice birthday treat. :D

For a movie called Mad Max it's got sweet 🤬 all to do with Max.

The whole story is about Furiosa and she IS the main character in this.

And the plot and what ends up happening is laughably bad.

It should be called Desert Dykes - The Furiosa Story.

Well to be fair, it's similar to RW wherw Max helps Pappagallo. Pappagallo becomes "the hero" while Max is the legend who helps them. It's just that in FR, Furiousa is another main character, unlike Pappagallo

I saw this yesterday with a friend.

Was it a fun and enjoyable movie? Yes. Well done? Yes.

Was this a Mad Max movie? Eh, not so much.

As soon as it ended my friend said, "This was just a female empowerment movie wit Max along for the ride."

I personally don't think that is a bad thing, but I do feel like Max could have been left out completely and it wouldn't be much different.

This movie is by far the most bat:censored:, out of this world, insane movie, I've ever seen. I loved it!

The action was brilliant, in part do to the amazing practical effects, but also because it doesn't feature a billion quick cuts. Seriously, I can't express just how nice it is to actually be able to follow what is going on on-screen. The sound was punchy and accurate, and god damnit, it was just too damn awesome. Do not miss this movie while it's in theaters.

Saw this movie last friday and it is probably one of the best movies I have seen in a while. Have to see the original trilogy now after seeing this movie.

just saw it again yesterday, my God it is still a rush. Still on the edge of my seat the entire time, especially War Rig vs the Buzzards.

Just realized that if Max isn't in the film, they're actually doomed.

- He drove the War Rig after the busted gazoline deal
- He helped the War Rig cross the puddles of mud
- He killed the Bullet Farmer, get a new steering wheel for the War Rig, retrieved some ammo, slowed Immortan Joe's convoy by destroying two of them using mines.
- He convinced Furiousa and the gang to go back to the Citadel instead of letting them go nowhere for 160 daya where supplies are hard to get.
- He killed one of the biker that got on top of the War Rig when Furiousa's rifle hasn't been reloaded yet.
- He killed the chainsaw guy that's about to kill Furiousa.
- He distracted Rictus Erectus long enough for the wives to move to Immortan Joe's car.
- He killed the People Eater.
- He cut all the chains that holds the War Rig in the final chase.

He's still the central character in this movie despite it being Furiousa's story.
