Does that mean that this is going to be turning into a .gif thread?
Errm...Does that mean that this is going to be turning into a .gif thread?
One thing about this IS certain: come Monday, this thread is going to explode.
Maybe it won't be this thread, but this will definitely turn out to be awesome. One thing about this IS certain: come Monday, this thread is going to explode.
Who said that was happening?the next upcoming update on Monday/Tuesday
It's too late. PD already paid for your ticket.*Sigh* I'll be keeping off the hype train this time, because I feel it will only crash into "disappointment".
I doubt that this would ever happen, especially since PD hasn't done anything catastrophically to require a deep apology. A simple article on their site, and in the ingame news with something along the lines "We apologize for the lack of information of past month, but we are glad to announce that "xxxxx", is coming etc...." would be good enough. With all this chit-chat and pointless conversations going on, we all really just need to wait and see.
Me, personally, I want an apology letter opened up when I launch the GT home screen, similar to the 2012 Christmas letter we received. However, unlike the last time being just words, I want it to be a video with Kaz looking in the camera to his customers. Not off point to accentuate a point, but staring down the barrel at hundreds of pissed of consumers. A good apology is needed from these "promised" additions and updates to the game. Or even a video of him describing where he sees PD at right now, and what they want to be working on.....
And I swear to (deity), if the first thing he says isn't sounds I'm done..

So the scheduled maintenance happens on Sunday in the US?
They did what!? O_OIt's too late. PD already paid for your ticket.
It has been zero communication from an employee of PD since December. They've rushed others from SCEA to fill in, giving no information ahead of time.I doubt that this would ever happen, especially since PD hasn't done anything catastrophically to require a deep apology. agree. They may be testing the update on monday and update the game on tuesday, i'm expecting Zahara and community features.
I'd be happy with just Zahara and some supercar though.
To clarify the update time for everyone that may be confused regarding the usual maintenance time and this week's maintenance.
The maintenance is happening 24hrs earlier than every previous week so far.
Well if you log into Gtp then youve basically already boarded.
So.. not only is this update a unusual time, it's in the news section too!
This place is gonna go nuts!
inb4 people being disappointed because server maintenance brings no new content 👍
Try looking through the news section @ gran-turismo.com, guys. If we were to see new content, we'd see it announced. What I'm looking at right now is info about SERVER MAINTENANCE. The chances that it gives us anything, 2 hours of no online aside, are near zero.
This has got to be the community features, read the line that says...
They usually say that servers will be unstable etc. but never "not be possible". If there is no connection, that indicates [to me] online features being upgraded.
I sure hope I'm right.
I don't think GT6 will be getting a substantial online upgrade before GT5's online component is turned off. I think the community features will come in the Senna May update and activated later in the month when when maximum server capacity is available with GT5 switch off.
