I've been quiet, but still check in to see what GTP folk are saying about the 2014 season. Astros are back to racking up the losses. The fail on Thursday night was 3-1 in favor of Seattle in Seattle. Friday night's fail was 6-1 in favor of Seattle with "King Felix" getting the win. Saturday night will be Game 3 of 4 for this HOU at SEA series.

Well our first game in New York has been delayed until Sunday due to rain, making that a double header day. We were leading 2-0 in the 4th when it was delayed. We also racked up a win 3-2 today, so hopefully we can at least hang on to the win for the delayed game and take no less than two wins from the Mets.

In other news, Oakland has lost 3 straight. Hopefully this means they'll go on a winning terror once they get back home.

Astros currently winning 9-2 over the Mariners. Both teams wearing their 1979 Jersey. Additionally, George Springer has TWO HR's and 5 RBI's so far.

Sucks to be a Red Sox fan right now. They just their ninth straight on an error in the 15th. That has to hurt.

The Astros won 9-4 at Seattle this past Saturday night. In today's series finale, we are playing either for a split or a loss. We're in Kansas City for three games once this HOU at SEA series concludes.

Rangers have won 2 of 4 against Detroit. They can either win the series or split it today. Currently 3-2 Texas. After this we go to Minnesota for 4.

Yesterday, two Ranger prospects shined. Rougned Odor went 4-5 with two triples and 5 RBI. Nick Martinez limited a potent Detroit lineup to one run over six innings.

Woot 2 straight wins after losing 3 straight. Makeup game from Friday is on next with us leading 2-0, hopefully we can hang on and sweep the Mets.

Josh Beckett no-hit the Philadelphia Phillies in Philadelphia. LAD won the game 6-0. It's the first no-hitter for Beckett. Congratulations to him! Good day for a Dodgers fan; not so much for Phillies fans.

You know you hate to be on the receiving end of a no-hitter. Even worse would be losing in a Perfect Game. Just ask my Astros a few years ago when they played at the San Francisco Giants and lost 10-0 to Matt Cain(?). So it could have been MUCH worse, Phillies fans.

We got ourselves a split of the HOU at SEA series with a 4-1 victory earlier today. It was another win for Dallas Keuchel. Next series for the Astros will be at the Kansas City Royals for a three-game set. Yep, Houston going to the Midwest for some Midwestern hospitality.

Congratulations to all other winners from Sunday, including the eventual winner of STL at CIN.

Mets split DH with Diamondbacks but now have to wonder if their best prospect has to possibly undergo Tommy John surgery. At this point, the team management will use it as an excuse to effectively blow off the 2015 season and fans will have to wait (again, since Mets fans have to have patience) until 2016 for the team to possibly compete. Yeah, sorry. I don't want to purchase tickets for an organization who now markets as a small market team, is delusional that they can win 90 games, and constantly promotes itself in the most unintelligent way possible.

Awesome.

George Springer won't turn down for anything :D another Astros win. This is exciting even though I can only watch highlights.

We won 9-2 on Memorial Day night in Kansas City to start this HOU at KC three-game series. The Houston Astros' Facebook fan page even coined the term "Springer Dinger" for home runs banged in by George Springer. Nice little win for the Astros.

Yu Darvish has been scratched from his start tonight due to neck stiffness. The injuries just keep piling up.

We took down the Royals 3-0 tonight in Kansas City. The Astros collected 12 hits and no errors. Kansas City had five hits and one error. Houston picked up the win on the heels of solid pitching by Colin McHugh. McHugh went seven innings and struck out 9 and didn't walk anybody. Jeremy Guthrie lost for Kansas City.

The Astros now hit Blackjack in the win column- we're 21-32 on the season after this game. This HOU at KC series finale is tomorrow afternoon.

Congratulations to all other winners from Tuesday.

Here's how my luck goes with games:

We're losing so I turn the radio off. Later I check MLB.com to see we came back to tie the game. So I turn the radio back on and the very first pitch I hear is sent into the bleachers to give SD the lead back. Turned it back off immediately. This is why I don't listen to the games on the radio. :indiff:

Rangers lost last night, in a game they should have at least made go to extras.

There were two outs in the bottom of the 9th, tying run across and the winning run on second. The Minnesota hitter hit a grounder to third. Adrian Beltre tried to tag the runner out, but the runner goes WAY around Beltre and makes it to the bag safe. Clearly out of the baserunning path.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the runner called out if he does that? I'd post a video link but the MLB Video site lags up my phone.

I saw the replay, he was definitely out of basepath, BUT the ball was hit directly on the base line between 2nd and 3rd. Nunez would have had to go out of the basepath unless he was going to jump over him.

We failed last night, well the offense failed. Miley was hot and cold, gave up a few runs but struck out 11 batters. Shame the offense couldn't help him out. At one point we left the bases loaded.

SERIES SWEEP! The Astros won 9-3 today at the Kansas City Royals. This is about... what, five straight wins for the Astros now? We did split the back end of the at Mariners series before this at Royals series. We're coming back home for two series up next. It starts with a four-game weekend series hosting the Baltimore Orioles- including us playing the Civil Rights Game. Then after a day off on Monday, it will be us hosting Patrick's Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for three games. And after that, back on the road at Justin's Minnesota Twins next weekend.

Elsewhere...

* Congratulations to Blitz24's New York Mets whipping some Pittsburgh Pirates' booty to the tune of a 5-0 blank job. I saw one Met cash in a deep homer to about right center field to make it 5-0.

Congratulations to all other Wednesday winners.

Good news...Yu Darvish will make his next start on Sunday in DC. The team ordered a precautionary MRI (since he said these were the same symptoms that forced him to the DL earlier this year) and the results were "unremarkable".

If only all of the Ranger injuries were like that.

Well, considering Darvish's last two starts carried a no-hitter through 7 (with at least one going 9.2) some neck stiffness would bound to develop. Glad that he could rest every once and a while.

Stauffer has been stuffed. 0.1 innings, 7 runs, all earned. He will get the loss barring a monumental collapse by Arizona. Currently 10-0 in the 2nd.
