Makeshift Shuffle - No Tuning RacesOpen 

Completely unrelated to anything but have everyone finished the Race3 in the Academy? I usually dislike the racing cars in GT but that Zytek Nissan Lemans car drives sweet at Spa. First Racing car that did not feel like high speed (Mario) kart racing on strroids.

I am guessing it will appear at the Dealership later but for now the only way to get it is as a gift for finishing a lap in each Race at the Academy. (I believe bronze needed in races 1&2?)

Just thought I'd let people know 👍

It is indeed a very good car, I had a good time with this event. Spa is a nice track for LMP cars, you can drive fast and smooth!
 
Just got home, and I'm bang out of luck! To many jobs to do before I can sit down, so very much doubt I will make any of these races tonight. Enjoy guys,

We used the extra turn at Tsukuba in most races, works pretty well. A special twist was the joker lap -- the racers choose to do one lap without the extra turn during the race. This adds some really cool strategy element. :D:tup:

Sorry for the delay in posting schedules, results etc. I tweaked my right leg and foot a bit racing on Friday and haven't done any running on track since then -- plus, I picked up a couple JRPGs over the weekend and got lost in them. Sad excuse, I know! :D

Sorry to hear that, get well soon! I'm a bit distracted too, my better half and me started watching Breaking Bad and became addicted. :D Yeah, i know, i'm so behind the schedule. :lol: So i'm fine with postponing until next week.

So it's a bit quiet this week, what are you guys up to? Prepping for final round of GT Academy? :) I heard it will be in a FWD car, so a little Hot Hatch or Limbo Stick shuffle could be the best training. ;)

Hey guys. I know I haven't raced with you guys in like a month or so, but I just wanted to let you guys know that since my ISP is going out of business, I went and found a new one, and got a pretty decent deal. Starting Monday, my download speed is going to be about 21 times faster, and my upload speed is going to be 40 times faster than it is now, so no more worries about lag (hopefully). I've been kinda busy with work, martial arts, and GT Academy, but I have been checking for a club lobby, and haven't seen one open all this time, except for this one time when I was getting ready to quit and leave the house. Is there a new general schedule you guys follow now? Post 2 hasn't been updated since April, just like the Events section of the club page. I guess only Watermelon has access to that? Anyway, amar, I've been meaning to add you, but I couldn't remember the exact spelling of your PSN ID, but I have that taken care of now, and will be adding you probably tomorrow. Maybe I'll get lucky someday, and have an opening in my RL schedule that corresponds with one of these events.
 
Sorry for bailing early. Wife was not exactly happy I was doing racing and the track options were all tracks I find hard to like/master. On top of that I was very tired.

I also want to know, is it now wed/fri/sun that the Mixers shuffle around?
 
@tarnheld, thanks. Well, that sets them both in the middle of the afternoon for me, which is kinda tricky for me. I just happen to get done work this Wednesday at 1830 UTC, so maybe I can jump in late if I don't have any errands to run before coming home. As for Fridays, I'm probably not going to make it to any of those unless it happens to fall on a holiday.

I've been giving GT Academy a pretty serious attempt, but I hadn't realized how useless my skills are without a wheel. I saw read all about that car in the final round when it first showed up on Top Gear's website, and I knew that it would be a pain to drive, but I never expected that it would actually show up in the final round of GT Academy. I had a hard enough time with understeer in Round 1.

My hours have been getting cut lately too, so I'll probably have a totally free Wednesday here and there more often for the summer now too. I actually was free last week, but hadn't noticed any events when I had checked.
 
@terrordog1490, it would be nice to see you again, even if only for a few races. It's no problem to jump in late. The timezone coordination is tricky. Sadly i can't commit on hosting any weekend events, but maybe someone else wants to jump in?

I used this GT Academy to learn to drive the big guns without ABS, and the last round helped to get to know Le Sarthe better -- to be honest i like the LMP, it's such a wild ride! :D

@terrordog1490 Hope you can make some races here and there. I've been thinking off and on about a weekend series, just been a little too busy -- heck, I've not been keeping on top of the Wednesday series very well, without trying to start a second one.

I have been pondering switching the Wednesday series to the weekend, as that might work for more people. I'll come up with some options in the near future.

Good racing! I was glad to see @hobbsy drop by. Unfortunately I was fighting a sticking brake issue from the end of race one onwards, which completely put me out of the running. I was also sorry to see @John Wells having some network issues. :(

A little unusual track day, with a crazy LMP race at the start. I don't know how the professionals keep those cars on the track for 24h. :eek:
