For the announcement of GT7, it will be next year .... If you are an optimist.

They can announce something about future updates for GT6 .... But I doubt? Sony wants to focus on the PS4 during the conference.

@SZRT Ice : 2010 and 2013 were years of GT5/6 release, that's why we had a trailer about the game. And for the 2009 one, wasn't the game supposed to be released in 2009 but delayed?
So probably no announce trailer, but maybe something about in incoming update.

PD's been hiding the Horse Thief Mile circuit at Willow Springs since the games launch basically, either launch or a super early update, and we still haven't heard anything about that.

That means there are a heck of alot of hidden things in GT6 if we want to get technical. Don't believe me, look at this thread;

Besides the Willow Springs ones those are all GT5 course maker locations. The Top Gear test track is a GT5 left over too but PD will need to do some negotiating if we are to see that.

Top Gear probably won't be worrying about negotiating licenses if PD does want to get TGTT back in GT as Top Gear is a bit caught up in their own mess at the moment. But just like others said in that thread it's all probably just referencing at the moment. Back on topic; who actually thinks we'll see an update tomorrow, like many of you's have predicted? And will it include Zahara?

Top Gear probably won't be worrying about negotiating licenses if PD does want to get TGTT back in GT as Top Gear is a bit caught up in their own mess at the moment. I don't think we will get a new update tomorrow.

That's not true. The earliest thing about GT5 I can find right now is E3 2009, and GT6's reveal was at a special event at Silverstone hosted by PD. So no, they haven't revealed any games at Gamescom and they especially won't now.

EDIT: About content announcements... Gamescom is in Cologne, TGS and Taipei are in Asia. PD is based in Asia. So I don't think they'll delay content to finish it and then wait even more to go to Germany, even though they could have released it earlier and then go there to show it.

Just a thought I had and total speculation, but since Kaz is at silverstone for GT Academy, they could do a surprise announcement there in the same way as they announced GT6 at that Silverstone event and release the track as a special post academy event? If they did it now it could piggy back on marketing for GT Academy AND Gamescom next week.

I'm sure that won't happen, but would be a good way of maximising marketing spread for the release of the new track?

Its actually because of the deal Top Gear has with Forza and I doubt Turn 10 wants Top Gear in a GT game.

I know they're slightly different markets, but would they be showing off GT7 before DriveClub gets a chance on the market? It only comes out the month after TGS.

I think GT7 will have its own event hosted like GT6 did, maybe to coincide with that FIA championship thing.

PD could include TGTT in the game they just choose not to. Unlicensed tracks have been in games before, GT has one right now. All they have to do is change a few signs and the name.

No, not neccesarily, PD just doesn't bother to get the license, just like Johnnypenso said.

Oh could I change my prediction for Zahara again. I'm starting to think that it will be released alongside the Toyota VGT. Yes this might sound insane but does anyone remember the video of the Toyota FT-1 driving around what looks to be Zahara. The two could be releated somehow...
