I understand, but I'm pointing out that having stage or circuit in it's name isn't an automatic indication. Although I'm more partial to believe Circuito de la Sierra is a looping course like the Nurb is.

Circuit "is" an indication, whereas a "stage" is not. Point to points are not circuits, and a circuit is not a point to point. That's the point in their difference in name/category.

Edit: When I said "stage", I really meant "Sprint". I was thinking of Rally Stages when I used the term, but a sprint race is another term used for point to point. Regardless, my focus was on the word "Circuito/Circuit".

You guys are using logic to try and figure this out and logic doesn't always apply to PD. Naming the track de la Sierra doesn't make a lot of sense in and of itself. It should be Circuito de Zahara since in English the proper name of this area of Spain would translate roughly to Zahara of the Mountains and there are many places in Spain called _______ of the Mountains. It would be like someone from Spain making a video game, then making a track in New York City and calling it City Speedway instead of New York Speedway. Logic need not apply when it comes to PD.

When was the last time that part of google maps was updated? Maybe there's some new roads when Kaz went there.

I would completely discard that option... Spain atm cant afford to spend on new roads in a relatively inhabited zone.

I think they went with "de la Sierra" over "de la Zahara" because the track encompasses the surrounding area, as well as Zahara. It may also be the typical avoidance of using the city's name "Zahara" for the actual track, as was done with Citta di Aria, Manaco (Cote D'Azur), etc. for licensing reasons and such.

If you've been following the info on this topic as most of us have, you would know that added into the coding for the game in a recent update is the listing for 2 VGT vehicles (Subaru & Alfa Romeo) and a track Circuito de la Sierra. And as has been the case, whenever something is coded in, we get it an update or 2 afterwards.

In February, a (not so great quality) video was shown of a reported track said by Sony/PD representatives to be coming to Gran Turismo 6, by the name of Zahara. "Zahara de la Sierra is municipality in the province of Cádiz in the hills of Andalusia, southern Spain". Seeing as the name "Circuito de la Sierra" is clearly a derivative of "Zahara de la Sierra", and combining the other details we already have in place, we can conclude that the track will likely be within our grasps any time now. It has also confirmed by Jordan in this very thread to still be on its way.

Wasn't there also something about window stickers mentioned in the last update?

It's all hopes and speculations, but let's not get off topic! I'm just hoping Zahara is in the future update, as it seems like so much fun :)

Hopes are nice, I'm really hoping my Beloved 90s Impreza gets the Premium treatment :D

By the way things are looking it seems very likely that we may get Zahara soon. Also with Kaz stating that GT is in for some Big Updates soon, we can hope it's all good from here. Car Packs? Improved Sounds? Circuits that will make you go mental?

PD likes to tease us with a Full Cookie Jar that we're not allowed to open until the time is right.

Those big updates Kaz was talking about, I think, were in reference to what they plan for GT7.
