I'm gonna take a break from GTP for a bit... Good luck you guys. Hopefully GT6 will turn around for the best soon. I'm just not gonna come here for awhile. My expectations need a break.

In the end it's only a game mate. Take a break if you need to. Go do other things you enjoy. Forget about it for a while. If the track's not here next time you log on, again don't worry about it, the world will keep turning.

Me, I'm just playing the game as it is now (trying out different cars and playing with numbers and car mods). Any update will come whenever it comes.

Whilst I still hope that we see the Zahara track soon, if it doesn't, c'est la vie.

Personally, I think there could still be an update this week, but even to me it seems more likely that there won't be one until September now. And there's no guarantee that Zahara will be in the update whenever it comes. I'll keep my expectations lower than my hopes until then.

Im doing just that. Have been playing GT past years more or less since GT5 launched, but now I took a leap and fixed one old xbox 360 and got hold of Forza 4. After first impressions Im glad to report that the time and money spend in GT has not been a wrong choice. Yes the diversity in the cars is great - something id like to see in GT and the sounds are umm lets say more entertaining (they really dont have much to do with realism), but I really feel a huge lack of feedback from the physics engine. The reponse of the cars feel very flat and homogenous after playing GT5 let alone GT6. Just the shock I experienced during first few corners at Nurburgring was unforgettable. The track feel way too wide and flat - none of the tilting and bumbs of the track are there. All of the small nuances I have learned to love are gone.

What im saying is - taking a break is a good idea. It will give one a totally new view of appreciation towards PDs work. :sly:👍

Im still going to have a good time with my new arcadeish friend while waiting some refreshment to GT series. :D

No time/drift trials this week? Can this be a sign of something? Maybe a special time trial for Zahara on friday?

Y'know they update these sorts of things every two weeks or so.

He did say they were holding it back for "Reasons" back when it was found in 1.10
I just wonder what those reasons were and how much of a setback they caused, I mean how much longer are we gonna have to wait?!?!?! It seems like it will just be in GT7 at this rate.

Yeah. 2 days left and my expectation of at least 1 more update will be dashed upon the rocks that is PD. Maybe there's a big holiday thing or something going on in Japan these last couple of weeks?

Oh could I change my prediction for Zahara again. I'm starting to think that it will be released alongside the Toyota VGT. Yes this might sound insane but does anyone remember the video of the Toyota FT-1 driving around what looks to be Zahara. The two could be releated somehow...

I wish it'll hit this month but there is a part of me that says it will come along with the Toyota VGT, mainly due to that video of the FT-1 driving on Zahara, even though it is the FT-1, I can see PD releasing the Race-spec FT-1 with Zahara.
Remember these? My prediction looks ever so true currently, even if Zahara doesn't come with either the Toyota FT-1 Graphite and Toyota FT-1 VGT, I'll be right about the month!

I think I can find a reason why PD didn't release a second update this August. Yesterday, I found a page at the "Gran Turismo Wiki" site with all GT5 updates and their release dates. Here's a chronological list from v1.01 to Spec 2.0:

v1.01 - 24th November 2010
v1.02 - 27th November 2010
v1.03 - 6th December 2010
v1.05 - 20th December 2010 (v1.04 was incorporated into the same update as v1.05, and so was never released on its own.)
v1.06 - 11th February 2011
v1.07 - 24th February 2011
v1.08 - 9th March 2011
v1.09 - 6th April 2011
v1.10 - 7th June 2011
v1.11 - 30th August 2011
v1.12 - 3rd September 2011
v1.13 - 21st September 2011
Spec 2.0 - 11th October 2011

As you can see, the servers of GT5 started from November 2010 and reached the v1.13, before Spec 2.0 was released in October 2011, one month before GT5's first anniversary. GT6 started in December 2013 and there are 3 months to go before GT6's first anniversary. If my theory is correct, I believe we will see the v1.12 this month, the v1.13 in October and Spec 2.0 will be released sometime in November, containing most of the "heavy" features, like B-Spec II, Community and Course Maker II.

Nice idea but I'm a bit suspicious about assuming a pattern...

Personally, I think that schedule and specifically the spec 2.0 release date has more to do with the fact that Forza 4 came out 14 November 2011 - I.e. 3 DAYS after spec 2.0 release.

Which is why I still think there will be a spec 2.0 release just before the release of Forza 5

Um, Forza 5 is already out.

Nice! Where did you find this @dogw10? If you expand the bottom images you can see the shape of the track, top left of the central screen. Looks very similar to what lots of you guys have been speculating.
