So far we know this:

1.12 is next week
Toyota FT-1 VGT to be included (It's a hybrid)
Circuito de la Sierra is released with it's corresponding Special Event
If Kaz's soon is to be believed, the Nismo GT-R will also be released for the first time in a video game within Gran Turismo 6.
Apparently a new hud element is to be added.
And Quick Match!!!

I remember when you first post about saving up to buy this miura and get to test it only on this track.
I did the same thing when the track was found out in the game files, except I went cheap and bought a One-77, but your story is rather sad anyway, I can't look at miuras anymore without thinking about that guy who farmed to buy one and never got to use it because PD delay the track... but at least you're going to now, this is what matters.
Thats the best, now it can be a happy thing!

Well the double maintenance makes sense now, with the impending Quick Match option.

Also, if the new FT-1 VGT is a hybrid, is it ironic that Zahara (at least from what I have seen) is a hybrid of time rally and normal race course?

I think the Nismo been added to Asphalt 8 early this week

+ Toyota FT-1 graphite?

Why is everyone so bothered by the fact that someone has a different opinion than you? I didn't say anyone else had to think that having a jump in a track doesn't make for good, serious racing. That's just my opinion, besides the Nordschleife I can't think of any real tracks that have more than a very minor jump (dirt/rally/motocross courses excluded). I'm sure they exist but I watch a lot of racing at different tracks and it's not a common feature (probably a reason for that). And week after week I watch drivers go into the first turn of an oval or road course, more times than not they get through it safely.

/discussion. Nobody else has to share my opinion or tell me why your opinion is better than mine.
And I was just offering my opinion. ;)

I don't really see the relevance to real world racing circuits in this case, though. That's not so much a matter of opinion, given that Zahara / "Sierra" isn't a "real" circuit. EDIT: I think there's a jump or two on the Piccolo Madonie, if you go fast enough. Le Sarthe was the same until they bulldozed it. Blame ground effect.

Maybe that's why people reacted so strongly. Maybe, also, there was a tinge of that "/discussion" in your original post. Just a thought.

I don't understand why you dismiss rally, either - this is "Sierra Time Rally", after all.

Anyway, my approach to large bumps would be to slow down, like you have to for Flugplatz. I don't typically race with people who wouldn't do the same; more often than not, we get through safely. So what needs to happen is not for "jumps" (which are just bumps taken too fast*) to be excluded from all possibility, but for realistic consequences to be present: i.e. better mechanical damage modeling. A healthy compromise, I'd say. :)

*A great experiment would be to find bumps in existing tracks and see if the X-cars stay on the ground. For example, I'm sure you could theoretically brake later than the crest of the rise approaching the Corkscrew in the X2014 Fan... Cars get faster, more bumps become jumps, more tracks get bulldozed in the name of safety. I don't think we have to worry about that in a game, though. Perhaps I'll stick to rallying.

Sooo this is the layout I created in january versus the screen capture of the video

Seems very alike, except for small bits in the north and east parts.

Probably. So now, an updated list of cars that are probably coming in 1.12 and following hotfixes:
(Bracketed question marks represent uncertainty)
- FT-1 Graphite
- FT-1 VGT
- Nissan GT-R NISMO '15
- Alfa Romeo VGT (?)
- Subaru VGT (??)
- Surprise car (Because nobody expected the IS F CCS-R)

I also imagine there may be another wee little trophy pack for those aiming for the top times in the Sierra time trials.

Guys, go back to the real world.
Probably, on next week we will get Sierra, FT-1 VGT/Graphite, quick match and that additional dashboard instrumental gauge option.

2 VGTs are already added to the code, and this suggest they will be in the next update. Its not out of this world to speculate they will be unlocked.

The IF cars like the new MX5 I agree are senseless to speculate on. IF is infinite. If they added a Motorboat I could go feed Nessey...

Those 2 VGT have been "in the code" since April.

At least we're finally getting this track that we've all be waiting for since the beginning of the year.

I believe the Subaru has been in for quite a bit longer.
The Aston Martin was in for quite a while before release.

When pulling car list we can see if new cars are added, we used to get cars unlocked early, like the RJN GT3. But since the update prior to the Senna content they block them from being accessed before release. The only cars added but unuseable at that time were the Senna cars until its update unlocked them to the world, and all new cars since then have not been useable until unlocked by a update, but we can see when new cars are added in advance still.

2012 gets the "Most Comical" award.

I'd nominate December 2013 for that award, after I loaded up my shiny new copy of GT6 and promptly commented "Wait, that's it? Where's the rest of it?", and then discovered that Kaz had let all the rabbits out of their cages and expected us to chase them down again.
