Yeah, here's a pic in the meantime:

I can just hear this playing... please come out tomorrow!

So TorqueWrench, racing a 5 or 10 race championship with a points system to see who comes out on top isnt your cup of tea ?
Fair enough mate, its only the biggest foundation of which the motor sports world is built apon.
Online championships would do alot better for GT6 than 1 track.

cannot agree more. Also for A spec!

I'm gonna go with saying I definitely don't think Zahara is made with course maker. That doesn't mean that I'm straight up denying the possibility, it just means that I definitely don't think it is. We found out that the beta for course maker was in Kaz's hands a month or two ago, but we had the first trailer for Zahara way back in February and I for sure don't think that the course maker feature could have been far enough along at that time to produce anything like we saw in that trailer. I just don't think that's a possibility.

Also the surrounding of the track look nothing like what course maker did for is in GT5 so I'm gonna shoot down that arguement. If your talking about the green fields of open flat spaces behind the scenery that's right at tracks edge, that's not a surprise. It's bigger than the Nurburing, they aren't going to waste all that space filling it with trees, because it would be one HUGE file. And the scenery we see right at the track looks like nothing from GT5 so I really don't understand that arguement. What we have of the track really does not resemble any course maker features that we've seen before.

I think this mini-map is just for a 'Section' reference - linked to that green sector indicator
there's a small bar split in 2 (or 3) inside the map... maybe this bar (and the map itself) will be filled with a color represented on this signs along the track

example: the blue section has 12 'sectors', the red one has 10, and so on...
when you pass this colored signs (or the yellow watches along the track) on the end of that specific section, a part on that little bar will be filled with a respective color

the first one on the video is blue and the last is red (or pink) - which appears to show a different mini-map
The 'bar' that splits the map in two is the writing in the logo for the Sierra Time Rally, as I proved on page 50.

Trees don't really take much space up, they're mostly just instances of the same object or sometimes just a vertical wall with a repeating texture along it. Even the course maker tracks had hints of big forests in the distance in Eifel and High Fens.

Course maker didn't use a photo texture for the surrounding landscape, but if you imagine it did, they could look very similar.

im gonna go crazy if its b-spec in the right of that menu!!!

Thank you very much! I haven't seen this image :D :D :D

it looks lovely.

Would we need a maintenance announcement or do they sometimes just throw updates at us?

I really hope we get it tomorrow...

Sometimes we do have an announcement but in some cases it just popped out of nowhere.

They don't need maintenance to release an update (1.10 was huge but it was released suddenly without maintenance). I think the double maintenance in August was the test for Quick Match & Sierra's online "behaviour". It's all about time and preparation now.

I did worry it might only be a special event, but that was when it looked like it might be point to point, but it seems like it has a full circuit with a pits so I can't think of a reason it wouldn't be available online.

If its a circuit I think its going to be online raceable. Seems long time coming for an offline only event

there's an old saying...

Don't count your chickens until they're hatched. There's already been enough egg on faces from the "double maintenance must mean there's going to be an update" fiasco. You should know better than to put your trust (and hopes) in PD.

Just saying.

Egg on face wipes off

It had crossed my mind once, as this is PD and they do some odd things. After seeing it is a full lap though that thought has passed.
